Besides nothing?

Okay will do. So go ahead and remove it so it's not taking valuable real estate.

{Would you please move the video to the Hockey thread. It's out of place on this thread. Thank You. SiteMonitor}

Who ordered the petard?

Make it so.

this morning i heard harry smith (i think, on face the nation... it could've been osgood on cbs sunday morning) comment on the "big smiles" all 'round, between obama and chavez...

then on abc, stephanopolus, stated that obama did NOT smile and seemed in a hurry to get the exchange over with (when chavez presented his book)...

from the looks of it, i'm going to agree with george...

a Financial Truth and Concilliation Commission would seem appropriate. although this financial crisis we find ourselves in is somewhat complicated the truth could be beneficial. having said that the political opportunistic minds will find a way to put a spin on the truth. the recession we are currently experiencing
is NOTHING like we have experienced before that's because of the financial crisis. i personally don't have
a lot of faith that the real story will be told. it's too revealing. i personally believe wallStreet was/is the primary player. they found loopholes to increase taking to a new level. they paid rating agencies enormous fees to get AAA ratings on financial instruments they knew were less than AAA worthy. to me it's nonSENSE to look at homeowners/mortagage borrowers to lay most/complete blame. mortgage brokers had an ethical responsibility that they turned their back on. as fast as they had those mortgage forms filled out they sold the mortgage to a financial institution that budled it with other financial instruments. there was plenty of loopholes and no CONSEQUENCES.

The already strange Amanda/Billo feud has taken a bizarre twisted turn. There are copies floating around of the unedited thread from that controversial post that turned O'Reilly into a raging lunatic.
It appears that poor pathetic Billo was punked by a very mysterious lone blogger and Amanda allowed it to stay up for a whole week.
During that week, the mystery blogger tore Billo a new a$$hole and humiliated him beyond belief. This is where it really gets bizarre, the mystery blogger doesn't want the unedited version of the blog released until September.
Billo certainly doesn't want them out.
Think Progress comes of this smelling like roses because Amanda Terkel took the high ground and removed the comments that pissed off O'Reilly. There are 12 known copies of the unedited thread and there is some talk regarding the mystery blogger giving them to Mike Stark .

(Contact me if you need more details or would like to see copies of the unedited threads. Yes it is more than just one.)

Why truth and reconciliation?

Why not:

Forensic audits

Prosecutions

Disgorgement.

Antitrust and breakup the biggest banks.

Reinstate Glass Steagall

That would be enough for me.

Thanks, Mike!
