now citigroup banking is in trouble. when retail numbers are announced after holidays there will potential to further reduce consumer confidence. the irony they want us to spend but they don't want to pay us.
I long since spent my $300 tax cut from last year. As soon as that upper class tax cut trickles down to me I'll be the first in the store. Until then I'm re-gifting. Anybody want a stale unopened fruit cake from last year and a slightly used Thighmaster?
Bush the new Saddam http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/11/21/bush...
Bush blew half a trillion of our tax dollars and bankrupted the US economy. Forget being showered with candy and flowers is it too much to ask for just one bouquet and a box of Whitmans for all the money we spent?
was World War II, when nobody gave much of a shit about how much money they spent, cuz they were spending it defeating the yellow peril and the Nazis.
what's needed, during this 'crisis,' is exactly a WW II-sized expenditure of cash and capital WITHOUT the "war" part.
The oligarch were threatened by the Japanese and the Nazis, which is why they didn't try too hard to limit spending on the war; plus they owned all the machinery needed to build the styuff that would go to being destroyed fighting for 'freedom.
The oligarch aren't in ANY danger now; this crisis doesn't effect them in the least. So they object to spending the necessary cash and capital.
It's pretty simple. We have to pose a legitimate threat to the money guys...or else they'll let us pound sand...
Man, the things done in our name...
