Once upon a time, there was a wonderful art called the political cartoon. It seems to have been replaced by the dubious 'art' of ridicule.
Something doesn't compute; on their best days, Beck, Hannity & O'Reilly have audiences around 3 million. On cable, where the ad rates are lower. Yet they are all reported to earn in the $10 million range. Compare that to the big 3 (NBC, CBS & ABC) anchors who make about the same, with audiences of 8-12 million viewers. It doesn't add up. Are the Fox News (laugh) "reporters" being propped up, their salaries based more on getting out the message than the actual income they bring in?
I know for a fact (from selling radio ads) that many of Rush's affiliates get his program for free, and many, many more get it included in "packages". But his income DOES reflect the profits he generates. The same ratio (of audience share to pay) doesn't seem to apply to FNC.
