the kids get put at risk and there's no payoff. make it simple. the BCS system is very biased because it actually starts off with pre-season power rankings, rather than team performance. All they have to do to tweak the BCS rankings to make them more fair is to take away the late-season bias against losing and to include head-to-head W-L as part of the rankings. the strength of Utah's opponents was quite high, but the BCS doesn't even include Utah's conference in their mix.

even though it is depressing. I cannot imagine what life must be like for the Palestinians right now and it certainly makes me thankful that I live in Canada. It may be -30C outside, but at least I'm safe and secure.

IMO USC looked pretty po'ed and confused for most of the second half. USC deserved to win - they just have a better team and Penn State played very dumb football against them.
But it seemed once they got their act together in the 3rd quarter they moved the ball pretty well - much to the apparent chagrin of USC.
Rose Bowl was a tale of two halves - and USC had a better half. Nuff said.

I told her that said cross street was about 4 blocks to the south of here and she must be looking for 107 My Street as i have a friend down there across the street and hes at 100. She kept looking at me as if i was lying to her and begrudgingly left to check it out warning me she may come back. She didnt bother to apologize in case she was wrong, which she was, and never came back. I never bothered to make a stink by calling cop shop or anything but thought " Geezus. what a crappy way to potentially get busted for smoking a doobie in the middle of the night minding my own business in my own god damned house where my tax dollars subsidize her wages."
Shouldn't cops have their facts straight before booting on folks doors in the middle of the night ? I dunno , maybe im just funny that way .

Odds are the American businesses are stock holders in the banks and they can "own" the debts that they cause America to encur, bailouts etc., and can then demand payment on the debts.
Basically, they over-sell, especially to the government, over-price and create the debt, hide the profits in the off-shore banks, use the American banks for bailouts, and demand payment on the US debt.
