Finally, someone's telling it like it is. These Blue Dogs are nothing but venal malcontents and it looks like even other Congress members are getting fed up:

Moderate Blue Dog Democrats "just want to cause trouble," said Rep. Pete Stark, D-Calif., who heads the health subcommittee on the tax-writing Ways and Means Committee.

"They're for the most part, I hate to say, brain dead, but they're just looking to raise money from insurance companies and promote a right-wing agenda that is not really very useful in this whole process," Stark told reporters on a conference call.

A spokeswoman for the Blue Dog caucus did not immediately respond to an e-mail request for comment.

Thursday's call was being hosted by the liberal group Campaign for America's Future to release a report making the case for a strong new public health insurance plan to compete with private insurers as part of any health overhaul legislation.

Via Media Matters, more proof that professional windbag Rush Limbaugh has run out of anything that might even charitably be considered as a legitimate thought. Only the truly brain-dead among his fans will swallow the latest uttering:

While fans the world over mourn the passing of the King of Pop, the King of Talk, Rush Limbaugh, put the death of Michael Jackson this way: He "flourished under Reagan," "languished under Clinton/Bush, and died under Obama." Over on MSNBC, both David Shuster and Chuck Todd poked Limbaugh for his unsavory take on the tragedy, with Todd quipping, "It's always Reagan, right?"

Meanwhile, El Rushbo's pals over at Fox News knew exactly how to interpret the wall-to-wall coverage of Jackson's death. An actual Fox News chyron alleged a "cover-up" because the media were devoting more coverage to Jackson than cap-and-trade legislation. Lord, the fun one could have using this very rationale to pick apart the stories Fox chooses to cover. I guess when you're a hammer, everything is a ... wild conspiracy designed to frighten your audience and fan the flames of their paranoia.

Revelations-It's the best of times, it's the End of Times

A picture named Revelations.jpg

NBC finally aired the first part of the new mini-series Revelations.

I love a great God vs. The Devil Story so I tuned in last night.

Knowing what's been going on in the 24/7 news lately and the pandering to the Religious Right, it didn't surprise me to see this on network TV so soon and quite frankly it seemed ridiculous. It's very dark, and cliche fillied, and the plot seems to have evolved from the recent Schiavo case and the End Times sagas. Starting right off with a Satanist and a brain dead girl mumbling in latin, Revelations got right to the point.

From the NY Post: The nearly lifeless child has started quoting scripture in Latin, despite the fact that she has no brain function.

The evil docs want to pull the plug, and so does her dad, who wants her organs harvested for a profit.

All that stands between the scripture-quoting kid and death is Dr. Massey. Huh?
