Fox Haz A Sad Because Press Secretary Didn’t Call On Their Mouthpiece

Apparently, Fox News thinks it has a right to ask gotcha questions at White House Press briefings.

On Fox’s America Reports, a supposedly “straight news” show (spoiler alert: it isn't), co-anchor Sandra Smith wore a face full of concern as she announced that Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre didn’t take any questions from Fox reporter Jacqui Heinrich “again.”

“Yeah, you know, for at least the second time this week,” co-anchor John Roberts said, also with a grave face, as if he were announcing seriously bad economic news or, this being Fox, a Republican loss in a major election.

Roberts added that Heinrich “had some pointed questions to ask” Jean-Pierre about "all of this." Meaning, “Biden’s documents scandal,” as the lower-third banner called it. Smith nodded in somber agreement.

“I don’t know if she just didn’t want to take a question from Jacqui or if she ran out of time, but we’ll leave it to our folks at home to make that decision,” Roberts said.

Here’s a news flash for these so-called news professionals: A White House Press Secretary gets to choose which reporters to call on. And I’m old enough to remember when then-Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany refused to take questions from CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, saying, “I don’t call on activists.” That was on November 20, 2020. By March 2, 2021, #LyingKayleigh was on the Fox payroll.
