Al Green Escorted Out Of SOTU For Standing Up To Trump's Racism
Rep. Al Green proves once again that he's a national treasure.
Rep. Al Green proves once again that he's a national treasure.
You may recall that Green was one of the few Democrats at last year's fiasco with the balls to stand up to Trump. He did it again this year and was rewarded with being escorted out of the chamber for his efforts.
Green held up a sign saying "Black people aren't apes," which was a response to Trump's racist social media post depicting the Obamas as apes.
Apparently his Republican counterparts were none too happy with Green.
Good for him and shame on the ones trying to tear the sign out of his hands.

Rep. Al Green brought a “BLACK PEOPLE ARE NOT APES” sign
Oklahoma’s Sen Markwayne Mullin fails to swipe it, then Green is escorted out… making sure more Republicans hear about it along the way. #StateOfTheUnion
