The journalistic convention is going to kill us all, if it cannot respond to White House willingness to use demagoguery, falsehood, conspiracy theory, and demonization to overtop the "free" press and rewrite the premises those conventions are based on.
All of the late night hosts were more serious and thoughtful than the White House occupant on the topic.

In a social media rambling that could be straight out of a mass shooters manifesto, Ohio state representative Candice Keller has come under fire.
No one seems surprised.
The CNN host asked what Congress, Trump, and Americans were going to do about mass shootings.
"Congress, what are you going to do about it? Mr. President, what are you going to do about it?" Berman said in the wake of this weekend's mass shootings.
It's about the money, Sen. Warren said.
"Right now, we certainly don't have a president on the side of gun safety and trying to keep our people safe," Sen. Warren said. "We have a president that's pulling in exactly the opposite direction."
