Keith Olbermann looks at yet another example of how Bill O'Reilly is literally losing his mind on the air. First he finds himself in the odd position of defending a pedophile in an attempt to slam MSNBC/NBC and then as originally noted by the hilarious show "The Soup", Bill's interview with the beleaguered Miss New Jersey over blackmailed photographs takes a distinct turn into creepy Billo-fantasyland.

All the repubs who view their one and only channel for fair and balanced reporting just love Bill O'Reilly. Everything he reports on is a true fact and they are all inspired by his professional journalism. Repubs can therefore make fair and balanced judgements which affect their everyday lives.

ROFLMAO

I just heard on cnn that a judge had dismissed Wilson's suit against cheney et al.

Dahgrostab'ph-r-i's picture

Wow, I'm sure it's one of Cheney's hunting buddies that did it, but a Judge dissmised Valerie Plame's lawsuit against the Bush administration...fucking unbelieveable that a Judge would be so against justice in America, but I think this is the final sign that in America the people are just fucked, no exceptions, we are all fucked. Thanks to our leaders, this should show us once and for all that we need to thought out the whole lot (Repug's and Dems alike) and just start over!

I'm glad Bill sits at a desk, especially for Ms. America's sake. Hopefully her experience dealing with goofy, sexually excitable men prepared her for the interview.

The more I watch Mr. Olbermann's show, the more it seems he should be on the evening/nightly news. He deserves more air-time than this, and would do great things for the credibility of possibly any show.

That and he gives me mental-wood. I.e., finding someone so compelling and interesting that your brain *wants* the person while your pants stand by, flabbergasted at the juxtaposition.

I read the CNN report, and they didn't say whether the case was dismissed with or without prejudice. With prejudice means it can't be raised again, short of appealing the lower court's decision.

My next door nieghbor (a real right wing tool who at his out door July 4th party publically toasted Scooter Libby) came up to my car Tuesday and after dissing Sen. Kennedy told me that I need to watch Billy O'Reilly because "O'Reilly is NEVER wrong."

I then as gave him an instance where O"Reilly was and is wrong and he brushed it aside saying "I wasn't talking about gays."

I said "No, you said O'Reilly was never wrong and I just proved to you he was wrong at least once."

He wouldn't hear it and said that he'd give me O'Reilly's book ...

This guy is in his later 20s or early 30s! But at the moment I lost hope that we could turn around Bush's 20%

Keith is the only news show worth watching on TV and he had me on the floor laughing out loud with this one. Because he can laugh at himself, the fight with Bill'O is kind of unfair since that revolting, creepy, stuff shirt takes himself oh so seriously. I came to realize with this drumbeat coverage they had last year on that poor girl from Alabama that Fox indulges in a prurient, but stealthy, taste of its audience with its coverage of young, white, girls who go a little wild and end up dead, its coverage of pornograhpy, and child molestation.

Sigh's picture

I htought the MIss NJ thing was hysterical, but the other part about the suicide and soliciting kiddie sex, well Oblerman can be just as manipulative as they come. Without showing the actual interview he states that B.OR. "defended" a child molester just to get at NBC and that B.OR. ignored staements by NBC's lawyers that the suit was without merit.

First, without seeing the whole thing in context, I don't think we can assume that OR "defended" the guy at all. True, he loves to attack K.O. and MSNBC but attacking the way the handle a situation is not the same as defending the alleged predator.

Second, who goves a crap what the networks lawyers say? What do you expect them to say? "We're really, really sorry. It's our fault. We won't do it again."

And KO is obviously just as obsessed with OR as OR is with him. While I appreciate what KO does on the air, he gets away with a lot of crap and to my mind undermines serious discussion of progressive views when he twists things to get his point across and also spends so much time reporting on dumb crap like Paris Hilton etc.

I certainly hope this was sarcasm... If not, I must protest Mike.
It's greedy assholes like Rupert Murdoch who put ridiculous shows like "Temptation Island" on their networks for a quick buck that are ruining this country! Of course I have nothing against sex on TV, but if you're going to claim the moral high ground, you'd better take a good look at the ground you stand upon, it might crumble beneath your feet!

The funniest part of this, considering BOR's vendetta against NBC, is that the woman was on the Today show and showed the photos in question. And while they weren't particularly " sexually provocative" to me, there was one where her boyfriend was biting her left breast. Maybe BOR could have a hard copy printed up, and get her to autograph it.

Hi Scott: Of course is was just an old man's attempt at humor.
Years ago I was a prolific letter to the editor junkie. I thought I was
amazing. In fact I clipped my letters & pasted them in a book. Well
one day I dragged the so called book out & red my stuff carefully.
The letters were awful & I never wrote a letter to the editor again.
My comments about that moron O'Reilly confermed my thoughts about
the old letters I wrote to the paper. :-)

I agree that Keith does devote a little too much of his show to bashing O'Reilly (although he certainly deserves any and all bashing he gets).

Although, when it comes to the celebrity/entertainment news, that's because he's on MSNBC. His producers force him to cover that, because all the other shitty cable news shows do.

Jesse's picture

Come on, though... I hate O'Reilly, but "To Catch A Predator" is highly exploitative, and grossly voyeuristic. Far be it from me to come to the defense of "child predators", but Chris Hansen is a fucking douchebag. He and the rest of NBC (including Olbermann, in this segment) act like this is a completely altruistic endeavor, that NBC/Dateline just want to "get predators off the streets", but really, all they're doing is capitalizing on Americans' voyeuristic tendencies for ratings purposes alone.
I'm not against law enforcement going after these guys, but Dateline is disgusting trash tabloid TV, and entertainment should have no place in the equation. There are much more important stories to cover, but for Dateline, it's either small-town murder mysteries (scared of your neighbors yet, Suburban America?), or sensationalism/ambush journalism. It's just another frivolous distraction from what really matters to America, and they know full well that it is.

whenever one of my GOP-Cheap-Labor friends makes a GOP point.... i point out how Bill O' said the same thing and then define Bill's "family values".... a flawed spokesperson is NOT a bad thing
