Beats me, not an american, but it seems it kinda stung that they advertised on Fox and sponsored YearlyKos, then got pummeled to withdraw from YKos, without bothering to check the veracity of BillO's slander.
Hmm, much like large parts of the US these last years, from what I have gathered,
I sympathize with Darth Romney but you gotta face facts- if you keep track of the outrages of Corporate America, you're going to have to learn to fight the outrage fatigue.
i think this is taken out of proportion. jetblue didn't actually "sponsor" yearlykos in the first place. they donated 10 free tickets. even now those tickets are still valid. they asked that their name be removed from the website cause they don't want to take a political stance. that's their official policy. i don't see this as jetblue's fault. if anything you should be going after O'Reilly and the Fox News sponsors. if that really is jetblue then fine. but i suspect there are other people you can attack to go after fox news' pockets, specifically O'Reily sponsors in this case.
ps i personally plan on flying jetblue the first chance i get.

I am sitting on the floor of a phone booth, so the police will not make me stand and blog. Lisa from C-ville is standing in front of it, hoping I will not be noticed.
I have never seen anything like this one, folks.
There are HUNDREDS of people lining the hallway to John Conyers' office. Cindy and a few others are inside, speaking to the staff, we assume. But the scene is incredible--people have come from all over the country to deliver the message that we can not tolerate illegal actions and an unConstitutional government.
Richard has the camera and many photos--but he is up close and I cannot get to him. But we promise you photos as soon as possible.
I will update this as I can...
But hello to all from the center of democracy! We are taking it BACK.
Oh--and CALL!
Phone Chairman Conyers at 202-225-5126 and ask him to start the impeachment of Dick Cheney; and phone your own Congress Member at 202-224-3121 and ask them to immediately call Conyers' office to express their support for impeachment. Your Congress Member might be one of the three needed, not just to keep impeachment activists out of jail but to keep this nation from devolving into dictatorship.
Phone Chairman Conyers at 202-225-5126 and ask him to start the impeachment of Dick Cheney; and phone your own Congress Member at 202-224-3121 and ask them to immediately call Conyers' office to express their support for impeachment. Ray McGovern, Col. Wright, and Rev. Yearwood were just arrested. Their message to us is that WE MUST STEP UP and CALL and insist on our DEMOCRACY BACK.
UPDATE 3:
They are not hearing the phones ringing there. It's quiet and still. ALSO they are heading towards Pelosi's office.
Come on everyone get those fax machines and phones and emails UP. OR go take it to the streets NOW!

Jet Blue is terrible and I won't use them.
It still amazes me that corporations like Jet Blue are trembling at threats by FoxNoise when the majority of the American public are agreeing, or beginning to agree, with the views of DailyKos and other progressive websites. The feeling for the need of drastic political change in this country is absolutely palpable - you can feel it in the air. Yet they continue to cower before O'Reilly. I cannot believe that they would risk alienating such a big market by thinking that Fox has any influence whatsoever anymore. I predict that very soon FoxNoise and Billo will go after a REALLY big corporation, and will be told to fuck off, and that will be the end of Billo and FoxNoise, as far as influence is concerned. Once they are laughed at - remember when the head of NBC told the right-wing Christians to go screw themselves when they complained about "Seinfeld", a show that pulled in more revenue than a RW boycott of NBC could ever affect - their perceived power will evaporate.
When they send all their lobbyists home, then they can claim to be apolitical. Right now they are embroiled in the Passenger bill of rights movement because of the way they stranded passengers on the tarmac. We're more or less viewed as livestock.
Please everyone turn off the computer...turn on the CELL PHONE and dial 202 224-3121 and GET INTO THE STREETS!

it would be absolutely silly to attack jetblue in this situation. 100% of your efforts (if any) should be involved in attacking o'reilly's show. go after his sponsors. o'reilly started this controversy, not jetblue.

This is ridiculous. Give Jet Blue a hard time because of them getting bad press? I just don't understand it, why not point this at the source of the problem-Bill O? The fact that a company did cave to bad press only shows one thing: That Bill O really does have (real or perceived) power. I don't have any problems giving Jet Blue my cash.

Because that's part of the problem in this country: FEAR. Sometimes with these recalls or protests, companies are caving in because of ONE complaintant. We see this a lot in censorship cases, especailly when people are citing God or the Ten Commandments,...
....also funny how JetBlue would respond to Bill O, but not to, lets say, petitions to stop polutting the skies.
