heres my idea.. dont issue them passes at all.
When will everyone grow up and realize that talking and bitching about the people in power will never change a single thing? The people we are dealing with will use any methods possible to retain their power (projection). They have the army, police, CIA, FBI, and many other gangs on their side and we have the internet. What are we going to do? Follow the law? The law is written by man and abused my man. The electoral college may as well be called the Pat Robertson's College. We need a new system. Period.
Keith ending the segment with Sweet's "Fox on the Run" was a great touch.
I'll never forget the first time I saw Cenk & Turks.
It was his "Fillibuster for the Filibuster of alito" .
Several other bloggers & talk show hosts partcipated
in a continuous web broadcast for a few days.
It was a BLAST !!! & nice to see some Progressive unity.
give me a f*cking break, as if keith or cenk don't constantly form and express their own opinions? sure, they are far more insightful than the vast majority of journalists out there, but they still opinionate, pontificate (keith olbermann is the pre-eminent pontificator). all journalists, journalism is suspect.
bill (is this O'Really planting himself here pretending to be a Liberal?), Cenk and KO present real evidence to back up their opinions. Most other "journalists" don't do that.
WAY to go Cenk!!!! Steph 1,2 has more competition for her "future husband". ;-)
The Dems flip-flop on withdrawal. California house foreclosures went up 800%.
It's worse than you think.
Stanley Rosenthal @ 8:
Heheheheheheheehe . . . Indeed, Steph Rules!
bill @ 7:
ok, then Countdown can be an "opinion media" show and the entire fox news channel be an "opinion media" channel. fair enough?
Court of Progressive Justice @ 6:
I talked to Cenk at 3am about Oaxacan food in Mar Vista...ur right, it was a blast!
Next time, however, we win,
Keith Olbermann has more credibility in his STOOL than all of them @ fox lies combined ... them is the facts.
Ozzie @ 12:
Yeah " V " for Victory in "08" .
I would like to comment on the advertisement for the conservative book club offering a free Bill O'Reilly. Ummm, I know there are liberal crooks and liars out there, and I know that conservatives do come to this site, but it seems like to me, that since BOR likes to disparage "far left wing smear sites" that this would be a tremendous waste of money on their part..
I just love the irony.
OOPS. insert "Book" after BOR, I can't imagine anyone offering Bill O'Reilly for free -- even BOR himself.

Stanley Rosenthal @ 8:
Hey Stan, I doubt if it is BOR, he can't bring himself to mention KO's name on air much less type it.
LL, I was thinking about that and I came to the conclusion that if he thought he was speaking in anonymity he would have no problem mentioning KO or Al Franken's names.

the first one's my favorite. up for two hours plus over I-80 in Berkeley.
gotta figure out how to get more people to do this...
Someone needs to report on this. The US could be preparing for an attack on Iran (soon):
"Because of this relentless campaign of the Cheney-led cabal, and the Iranian unwillingness to give up uranium enrichment, a war-like situation has come to prevail in the Persian Gulf. As of now, the United States Fifth Fleet has two aircraft carrier strike forces lodged in the Persian Gulf, and the third carrier strike force, under the USS Enterprise, is on its way. The arrival of the USS Kitty Hawk in 40 days or so, in the Bay of Bengal, which is in striking distance of the Persian Gulf, raises fears of more military activities in the region in the coming weeks."
This will be FOUR aircraft carriers, and the congressional break is coming.

Stephen Colbert ripped neocons from Fox's O'Reilly to Hannity, mainly about the JetBlue episode.
I just posted video at my site
Powerful piece of analysis by a British Tech Journal on the difference between Al Qaeda and Al Qaeda in Iraq. Two piece commentary:

"Can Osama keep Bush Afloat?: The buddy system"
Stan,
Do you remember the Fernwood with Tom Waits...
24, It was the very first Fernwood Tonight clip posted on C&L (by myself, btw) that I know of. It's funny how Harry Sherer(sp?) seems to get famous on shows that originate from other shows. :-)
"The piano has been drinking"
Oh, and when it origionally aired (on broadcast network tv), it was the first I had ever heard of Tom Waits.
Same here.
Before TV went the way of radio.
cenk is a reagan democrat. don't confuse him with a progressive.

AP Reveals New Document Demonstrates ‘Clear Case’ Of Gonzales Perjury On Spying Program. Gonzales has Committed so Much Perjury Before Gongress, He is Basically Mocking Them Because He Knows That He is a "Made Man," And Bush Will Protect His Consigliere, Just as He Protected Libby. Besides Gonzales is the Man Who Knows Too Much. He is Lying So Openly to Keep Bush and Cheney and Rove Out of Jail It is Not Just Contempt of Congress; It is Criminal Behavior and Obstruction of Justice.

Tucker Carlson is the BuzzFlash Media Putz of the Week: For reporting that is an embarrassment to the profession of journalism, and for being beholden to corporate paymasters rather than the citizens of America. Every Thursday, BuzzFlash Announces a New Media Putz. (You Can Sign Up for Weekly Media Putz Alerts, Letting You Know First the Night Before of the Weekly "Honoree.")

Carlson came to the defense of Senator Hooker -- uh, we mean Vitter -- by claiming a public official can champion the sanctity of marriage and monogamy, while paying prostitutes for sex, and still not be a hypocrite.
Now that is the kind of ludicrous, jaw-dropping statement that so defies common sense, you just can't understand how anyone could be paid to utter it on television.
He even had the nerve to say that what happened is just a matter between Vitter and his wife and should not be a public issue (unlike Clinton/Lewinsky episode).
How Bush's grandfather helped Hitler's rise to power - http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,12271,1312540,00.html
The Guardian has obtained confirmation from newly discovered files in the US National Archives that a firm of which Prescott Bush was a director was involved with the financial architects of Nazism. His business dealings, which continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family. Same Players. Different Scandal.
More Republican Hypocrisy: Bill O'Reilly.com being investigated by Secret Service - http://newsfortheleft.blogspot.com/2007/07/bill-oreilycom-being-investig...
Bill O'Reilly recently claimed that Daily Kos is a "hate site." He then tried to bully companies to drop sponsorship of its Yearly Kos convention. While O'Reilly's charges were baseless, his own site contains threats of violence against Hillary Clinton and others, and is now being investigated by the Secret Service.
Comment: "There are numerous comments talking about keeping guns loaded and literally saying there will be a civil war. The far right has been preaching a message of hatred (and not just of Hilary) for so long it's amazing someone hasn't already taken her out.
It's not just O'Falafel's site either. Go take a look around Little Green Footballs and Free Republic and you'll see TONS of the same crap, including people vocally advocating murder. That $hit has been going on for YEARS."

Actually, I'll be surprised if BOR(e) doesn't reply with a
"Cenk's Turkish. Turkey is Islamic. CENK IS A TERRORIST AND WANTS YOU ALL DEAD!"
kinda line.
Watch it, it'll come...
I've said it before, I'll say it again, Fox News needs to be accompanied by a warning from the Surgeon General.
A credential that identified them as "FOX - Propaganda Outlet" would be more accurate.
What are you talking about? Fox news is Fair, Balanced, Patriotic, and, excellent.
Its the NO SPIN network!
Libruls just don't have a taste for quality. I doubt they have the apptitude to aquire it either.
Now off to eyerack for another round of victory games.
Bill doesn't even want to go there with Cenk. Cenk is way too smart and sharp for O'Reilly's bullying tactics. And, if it came down to fisticuffs...
Sarcasm???

Cenk rules. Hands down. I learn how to slam people down from him.
Got to call Faux Noise what it is, total lies and opinion.
Calling Fox News "opinion media" still fails to get at the truth. The people spouting these claims on Fox are under no illusions about their patent falsity. They know them to be untrue. The claims are therefore not "opinions", but lying propaganda. To call them opinions is to glorify them far beyond what they deserve.
Yay, I'm the 42nd coment, yes the fixed news channel, opinion passes
The State AGs have legal power to enforce arrest warrants against the President, VP, and Members of Congress.
one can both "present evidence" and "form an opinion", but most "news" organizations only do the first, and leave the opinions for the op-ed pages.
olbermann and cenk present evidence (mostly), but are clearly (!) opinion-makers, and of the most obvious variety.
there is nothing, whatsoever, controversial about the above statements.
Remember, there comes a time when a government is harmful to hte people and you are a traitor if you do not help rid your country of it.
