The Senate Judiciary Committee's subpoena of Karl Rove makes Senator Leahy's balls grow three sizes. And Asif Mandvi reports that at this rate, the country may be out of contempt (as opposed to in contempt) sometime next year.

I wonder what it would be like to be as contemptuous of the rule of law as the current administration. Something tells me that if you or I were to refuse to appear under subpoena we would now be cooling our heels in a most unpleasant lock-down facility. How is it possible that anyone with more than 2 braincells cannot see what a lying, thieving, coniving bunch of thugs we are dealing with? And these were the ones who pledged to bring integrity back to government. It would be funny if it were not so pathetic.

It's fucking incredible. You can do whatever you want. Urinate in Pat Leahy's sock drawer? Done it. 'Appropriate' Pat Tillman's Jaguar? Done it. Scribble profanity in blue ballpoint pen all over the US Constitution? Been doing it every day since 2003. And the best part is, when Congress sends its sissy homosexual subpoenas we just hand them to Albert Gonzales and tell him to 'enforce' them all the way to trash can. It gives us such a rush when we do that. You really should try it one day.

But the equivalence between congress and the whitehouse was really not correct. The hostility tone comes entirely from the republican side. They breed it. They revel in it.
Shame on the Daily Show for not correctly defanging this propaganda.

This is bullshit and a waste of time. Congress should be investigating the criminal misleading of the American people that lead up to the needless invasion of Iraq. Those responsible for leading our country into this disaster, for America and Iraq, should be held accountable.
