On Tuesday night's Countdown, Keith Olbermann's special 9/11 Worst Person In The World segment, the runners up were Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell for his FISA fibs and FOXNews' Brit Hume for allowing both General Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker to spew their surge propaganda without challenge.
But the Worst Person honors went to Senator Joe Lieberman (I-CT) for proclaiming Congress needs to rekindle the unity they shared in the days after 9/11 and to stop the political partisan bickering -- and then chose to spend the anniversary of the tragedy at a Freedom Concert hosted by FOXNews' biggest hack, Sean Hannity -- featuring some of the biggest partisan haters in American history, including Ann Coulter, Newt Gingrich and Ollie North.
HoJo needs to hang it up. Lamont should be in the Senate!!

Keith should name Chris Matthews the Worst Person tonight, after seeing Matthews worshipping at the altar of Laura Ingraham on Hardball today, telling her how she's "one of God's gift to men" and telling her how attractive and what a great writer she is. Too bad Keith won't go after him, since he's apparently forbidden from going after anyone involved with NBC.

when Joe Klein calls Lieberman an American embarrassment you know he is out of touch even with the waffling do-gooders of the Democratic party. Maybe he should just switch sides (how do you think of that Barack Obama and Bill Clinton?). I HATE the other Senator from my state. I can't believe we have to deal with him for five more years. I can't believe that conservative Dems and Independents voted for him. I HATE him. Schmoe Glibberman has got to go or otherwise be marginalized. Perhaps the latter will occur with the '08 elections and some more Dems elected to the Senate.

Watching Sloppy Joe since the election has made it crystal clear the need for more solid Dems in the Senate. Joe skates on this razor thin margin and makes a mockery of everything good about the Dem party. Imagine if China used OUR WMD's as their cause for invasion. I mean, the proof of our capability in using them, like Saddam, is written in our history, NO? So, China invades for their National security, same difference as with the USA's invasion of Iraq, and disbands OUR MILITARY, toppling our town halls and central government(s) systems, replacing it with their own. Consider this while; Your homes, if haven't been bombed yet, are being broken into BY INVADING FORCES; Your family, dragged into the streets and the adult me arrested, sometimes forcefully and coercively using other members of the family to 'fake' executions or rape; Your city's commerce gone; Power out and drinkable water difficult to find. Imagine if China did all this, setting up their own military bases, often in what was our bases... Just so that they can secure our coal fields? Passing it off as security... for Cuba? Do one think Joe might argue against the insurgency in the streets?

"Holy Joe's" "reward" is richly deserved, and here's another reason why, besides the one Olberman cited: Early this year when the newly-elected Democratic-majority Congress took their seats, Lieberman, as chair of the Senate Homeland Security committee, said there would be no investigation of what happened during Katrina. When he was campaigning last fall, he took a firm stance against the Administration's stonewalling and promised that this would be looked into. By breaking this promise, Lieberman showed himself to be a political whore willing to prostitute himself to the highest bidder. I wonder who in the Administration got to him.
