GHWB's Pool Boy: "I look at the biggest middle finger in the world all day"
A publisher I know once told me that most really wealthy and powerful people are smart enough to know that it pays vast dividends beyond the cost of salaries to treat their employees well, especially in the age of tell-all books. And then, there are those like the Bushes....
Pool boys are supposed to conduct torrid affairs with lonely pool owners. James Razsa has passionate feelings about his client, but not the kind likely to turn romantic.
Razsa cleans former President George H.W. Bush's pool, in Kennebunkport, Maine.
An enduring American figure, the pool boy has long stood for one lowly half of the nation's class gulf. When the pool owner happens to have been the most powerful man on the planet, and the pool boy happens to be one of the planet's great despisers of power, the metaphor explodes into 1,000 points of light.
"If every American had to pool-boy for these people for a day, you'd have a revolution on your hands," is how he sees things. Read on...

Husband: "Hey honey, come look! There are tanks on Pennsylvania Avenue!!.
Wife: "I'll watch it when I get back from the mall."
Kids: "Daddy, where's Washington?"
Don't they mean "FORMER pool boy, James Razsca?"
Because I can guarantee he ain't working for them no more. I hope he had another job lined up before this hit the press.
Razsa cleans former President George H.W. Bush’s pool, in Kennebunkport, Maine.
This guy should get hazard pay just for working for those effed up people!
"...The freshly unemployed James Razsa..."
Let the record show that I do NOT advise him, or any other pool maintenance personnel, to pee in it. Because that would be wrong.
he's a pool-man!
Even though urine looks just like liquid swimming pool chlorine, and could be added to the water completely unnoticed...
Barbara "beautiful mind" Bush: George, what are those brown things in the pool?"
you mean, George HW Bush, son of the infamous "nazi sympathizer and money man", Prescott Bush??
hadenuf @ 8:
....and they aren't "clark bars"; instead they're "bush logs".
I was hoping they would have some titillating photos of Barb in her two piece.
Dith-pickable! -- Daffy Duck
Regarding his brother working for Exxon for $7 per hour and not able to support his family on that wage... hell, regarding the fact that most Americans don't have a living wage... Naomi Klein worked with others on a fabulous documentary called The Corporation. Check it out in DVD. I highly recommend it.
These big monied corporations and their overpaid and undertalented CEOs need to be paying for the workers who make them all that money! And that needs to start happening right NOW!
Ted Knight played the judge in 'Caddyshack'. The pool cleaning scene was very funny. The actress that played Knight's wife has a remarkable resemblance to former First Lady Barbara Bush. Is Babs as snobby in real life as was the actress in that movie?
Dr. Matt @ 11:
You don't wanna do that!! Those kinda photos would burn your eyes right outta their sockets!!!
How would you respond to the Bush Family?
"What do you say? 'Thanks for School of the Americas, and Iran-Contra, and NAFTA, and shipping all those jobs overseas, and arming Saddam, and funding the Taliban?' What do you say -- 'You're a jerk?' There's nothing that can be put into a sentence that would capture the lives these people have taken, and the way of life that's been taken."
The Bushes are unbearable patrician monsters? I'm stunned!
I know George Bush, so this ain't no surprise...
right on! @ 15:
Just imagine! That guy on the oatmeal box.... in a bikini!?! Eeeeeewwww!!!
LOL! But these are also the same people that 51 million nitwits went to the polls in 2004 and voted for because Bush looked like someone they "could have a beer with!" In reality, these peons wouldn't be allowed anywhere near their property!
Cue deranged 29%er crying about "inciting class warfare" in 5, 4, 3, ...
Unemployed or dead, doesn't matter much to our ruling classes. As Springsteen said, "To him that threw you away, you ain't nothing but gone."
Is it my connection or is the commenting system acting a little goofy today?

Beagle @ 14:
There was a great bit written about her by Al Franken. I believe it was in Lies. She seems to think she is some kind of royalty, nee "entitled."
This vignette goes to show the depth of the disenchantment by the average citizen with this incredibly inept and incompetent-bad people with evil intent........sheesh, the fricking pool guy turns on them...nutjobs, that are running the world. Inaugurate Al Gore already!
Dr. Matt @ 11:
Dr. Matt, that was just wrong.
Has the pool guy been deported yet?

Or you can just pull an Oprah and require all your employees to sign a non-disclosure agreement, that they can't say anything about what they see and hear.
The problem with this article is that it says nothing, except "rich people suck. Being poor sucks."
The thing about all the Bushes and people like Limbaugh and Coulter; you can't hurt them with words. If you could, if they cared what people thought, they wouldn't be the monsters they are. Sociopaths aren't interested in what others think.
perhaps if barbra were boinked by a profeshional boinker her attitude towards others might improve , personally i believe someone whos been playing dungeons and dragons whos really good with a sharp nail spiked dildo and whos not to squimish to observer babs huge wrinkled naked ass could accomplish wonders cramming that dildo up her wormybutt and take one for the team!!!!!
One reason I work construction and am not an artist any more (and I had a good measure of success) is that too many art buyers, private and corporate are awful people, and not very nice to the 'underlings'.
And getting paid was always more difficult than it had to be.
SebastianM @ 28:
(one day I will tire of trying to enlighten the simpleton, I swear I will...)
On the contrary, if you read the article, it clearly says SOME rich people suck, and SOME rich people agree that those those rich peaople suck, and that doesn't suck.
Your talent for reading comprehension, on the other hand, stinks.
spit take @ 25:
What, no thong?
I always get a kick out of that media snowjob about Barbara Bush being some kind of loving, kindly, cookie-baking grandmother. In reality, she's a c**t.
I bet this fellow now has a fat FBI file, and his phone and email server are tapped.
Time for a career change, and perhaps a move to another state.
It's mind-blowing that these unexceptional fuckwits actually had a "full sprectrum dominance" plan, for which there is no precedence.
If Alexander, the Romans, and the British couldn't do it, why did they think they could?
There was never a chance in hell that these types could ever impose themselves on the Vietnamese, the Iraqis, or the Iranians.
The Americans? Well....
Typical of the Klan of Kleptocracy...
Also probably explains why, while north of York, Maine two weeks ago, I was subjected to a 2 hour "friendship fest" with a overly talkative Lockheed employee at a local restaurant. And why, upon leaving, was yanked by the local cops for "a roadside checkpoint drug test". And why he knew my nickname, NOT the name on my license when departing his stilted company.
Collusive GOP Pricks never give up.
Remember that this is where tardboy got one of his infamous DUIs.
I had no idea the Bushes had a place - uh, scratch that - a 100 year old mansion and compound in that part of Maine until afterwards... My knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time is stellar...
What Razsa realized and what poor fucks who support the GOP don't is that Capitalism works by the corporate executives getting the most out of the least amount of work and cost.
Maybe he should drop a vial of holy water in the pool just to see what happens next.

You're missing the point, which is, other than the 82 degree pool incident, the article is completely void of interesting content. But then, maybe you find the National Enquirer type drivel interesting.
For example, shy didn't the author ask the folks at the lemonade stand why exactly they resented GHWB and his family? Jealousy? Aloofness? Certainly they must have interesting stories from over the decades and generations.
Personally I find the inter-Bush relationships fascinatining, and I want dirt, lots of dirt, along with analysis. Topics such as, given that 41 was the former head of the CIA and went to war with Saddam, presumably he knew Saddam better than just about anyone in the world, yet it seems 43 never utilized that rich treasure of expertise. Why not?
Another topic: Poppy treated his political operatives (such as Lee Atwater) like shit and kept them far, far from policy decisions. GWB, on the otherhand, let's his political guy Karl Rove run the government. What's the deal with that??
And what would Poppy have to say about letting a dangerous dingbat like Cheney start failed war after failed war?
If the pool boy managed to overhear those sorts of conversations, now that would make for an interesting article.
spit take @ 25:
I wonder how many people had a split second imagery of a bikini-clad Barb and came close to spilling their lunch. LOL. >:-)
Dr. Matt @ 42:
Count me in. The image of Barbara Bush in a two-piece is horrid.
Dr. Matt @ 11:
Dr Matt...putting a vision like that in our heads is torture don't ya know!
:D
Dana @ 44:
Add it to the list with the other Crimes Against Humanity!
"...the easiest job he ever had. He's paid $9 an hour -- "pennies thrown at my feet," relative to the wealth all around him, he says."
Somthings wrong here.
Was the pool paid for by the inheritance he got from his dad, prescott buSh who was charged with " trading with the enemy act " ? For setting up accounts at his bank for Fritz Thyssen , German industrialist .
Here's the first (much more is there) paragraph of the NY Times 1941 .
"Existence of a 3 million fund established by Fritz Thyssen, German Industrialist and original backer of Adolf Hitler, was disclosed today " the bank, Union Banking . Prescott Bush was a partner there .
Keep in mind these same Nazis that invested at Union Banking , were also promoting Eugenics .
Bonkers @ 40:
bonkers are you up for the job? if so it could be a new beggining for a grat career for us!
Babs the tyrant. "aw, she loves Millie"-media toadies
tyree at #30 that too far over the top.
The water's really blue from all the dye in Babs hair.
So...young poolboy.....how do you like unemployment?
You can thank C&L for being so compassionate.
If I had this job I would make SURE I peed in the pool every chance I got.
i was clicking a picture of the compound just this past week and wondering why they let the public get that close to them-- there is even a spot to pull off the road so you are not obstructing traffic-- truly amazing that people like george and barbara can be so out of tune with us commoners--

MR. Bill @ 32:
You speak the truth, MR. Bill! Thanks... it's true. Those really wealthy folks are usually too elite to pay the little guys and gals. And the rich get richer...
Although I'm certainly not the first to say it, I say damn the rich!
Cool guy. Obviously bright, articulate, and interesting. But, really, the Bush's are hardly even a shadow in the background in the story. They're apparently wise enough to let the pool boy do his thing without harrassment. The most horrifying thing about the story was the image now wedged in the back of my brain of Barbara Bush approaching the pool in a b-b-b-b-bathing suit!
Loved hearing about the Walker III's though. Maybe there's some hope for the line after all.
Jenny'O @ 51:
jenny who caresbesides you?
This article made my stomach hurt. I can't believe anybody in their right mind would vote republican - at least not anybody who wasn't filthy rich.
So sad...
Rot in hell Bush family!
I'm so constantly outraged by this administration's blatant disregard for humanity of all nationalities. Their interests are so obviously greed, avarice and ego.
Let's all give George the finger... http://www.GiveGeorgeTheFinger.com
I don't get it. What was the point of the story? He's poor? Join the club. He's around people who spend more on shoes than he makes in a month? Been there, done that. He doesn't like rich people? Big whoop. There was little about Raza in this story and less about the Bushes.
Powder_Monkey @ 17:
Thanks for the link-enjoyed it the read and the other links you provided
SebastianM @ 29:
True. The man is clearly very intelligent, thoughtful, and articulate, and his assessment of the huge gap between rich and poor is spot on. But there's nothing of substance about interaction between the employers and employees, except that they're completely detached from each other (which we already knew).
Sorry to be dense, but, "I stare at the biggest middle finger in the world all day?" What the hell does that mean? He's not talking about the Bushes, because he's only seen them fleetingly. Is a pool a big middle finger?
I can't parse what the fuck he's talking about.
Read the comments on the article website, that guy ExJag is a real Jag-off.
[...] Don’t piss off the pool boy! GHWB’s pool boy is talking and he’s hot [...]
