Iranian Sock Puppets Feed Into Right-Wing War Mongering

You would think the old axiom "once bitten, twice shy" would somehow apply to these idiots in the right wing echo chamber that are beating the drums for war with Iran. After all, they believed Ahmed Chalabi over their own common sense. And by all accounts, the two fronts they are already cheerleading are going so poorly, by what bizarre metric could they possibly consider a third front against Iran a good idea?

But no, all those right wing hacks are trying to find ANY reason to demonize Iran to goad us into another war. And as Sadly, No! documented earlier this week, that includes making fraudulent claims from movie stills. As Gavin points out, even everyone's favorite cheerleader Michelle Malkin only wants the facts that fit their pre-conceived notions. But don't try to point out the truth or facts to them...then they'll just break out the sock puppets to insult you:

Here's a cautionary tale about Middle-Eastern dissidents who seek to advance their causes - even after the lesson of Iraq - by making common cause with American right-wing extremists and their phony ‘human rights' campaigns. (Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi is the daughter of Iranian political prisoner Siamak Pourzand, and lately an organizer (with Michael Ledeen) of the extraordinarily fishy Secular Islam Summit)

The sad thing is is that while Jr. couldent possibly start another war and win, he could very well get away with sending troops into Iran and then leaving office in 08 and the disaster (because thats what it will be) to whichever Democrat suceeds his sorry ass.

Iran: The Ticking Bomb

That's the name of faux snooze's latest 1 hour scare piece on the evil Iran. It is entirely inaccurate and false. Meant to mislead the sleeping sheep who still support the lies of this arrogant and inept Boosh administration.

The US has been committing terrorist attacks by proxy against Iran ever since we invaded Iraq.

Bushco has been harboring the terrorist group the MEK, training and supplying them with weapons and intel, and the MEK has been killing Iranian govt officials and attacking the Revolutionary Guard, blowing up facilities, in dozens of attacks so far, trying to bait an Iranian response.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich says he is so concerned about what he sees as the Bush administration’s push for a war with Iran that he is considering using a parliamentary measure to force the House of Representatives to vote on impeaching Vice President Dick Cheney.

“We’re preparing for another war, and they’re going to destroy America,” the Ohio Democrat said Thursday on the Ed Schultz show. “We have a government in place right now that has to be challenged. I’m seriously thinking about calling a privileged resolution on impeachment of the vice president and forcing a vote on the floor of the House.”

I think Hannity should rush down to the nearest recruiting office and sign up. I want him to protect us against this threat.

Wasn't Chalabi the "Mandela of Iraq"? At least that is how he was portrayed by the neocons during the run up to the Iraqi War. Chalabi's name should be brought up continuously anytime that those who are in favor of going to war in Iran is mentioned. Chalabi is nothing more than a self-serving con man and the disgusting part is, the neocons knew it all the time. There is no doubt in my mind that they will do the same thing in their selling of the possible war in Iran. I guess I should look on the bright side, we'll always have Eritrea and Micronesia on our side.

WILL THE REALMOCK MOOD I’M A DIMMER JOB’ PLEASE STAND UP

It isn't that they "believe" people like Ahmed Chalabi or Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi. They are simply a means to an end. Perhaps the mouth breathers like Malkin need to believe in their sock puppets but at the upper levels, people like Ledeen or Kristol, it's more like they find these people "usefull" towards achieving their agenda, that's all.

Hosted by RIGHT WING TOOL Dan Senor, the former spokesman for the Coalition Provisional Authority.

Are they idiots? Of course. But what are the Democrats who, even NOW, give Bush the same power they did in 2002/3? Cowards? Battered wives?

Hey folks! It is time to stop screaming about the right-wing loons. They are there, they have always been there, there is no way to get to them.

Concentrate on Democrats, who have the brains, but are too cowardly to get anything much done.

Step 1...Pass a resolution calling part of Iran army a Terrorist group. check

Hell no Chalabi was not "the Mandela of Iraq". That's what Bushco wanted everyone to believe. During the elections Chalabi's INC couldn't get enough votes to get but a handful of seats in Iraq's Parliament, even smaller than the Sunni groups. Chalabi has been a double agent all along. His phony group, the Iraqi National Congress, was really just a front for a PR group hired by the pentagon to feed us phony intel to sell the war.

Rendon Group hired Chalabi to head the the Iraqi National Congress, which was nothing more than a phony grass roots movement to bring us Curveball and the likes to feed is bullshit.

Wow, really glad we have this "DNC majority" that is going to "bring change".

Again, missing a truly golden opportunity to gain a powerful ally in the Middle East by diplomatic means, we miss the opportunity of galvanizing the allure of western culture and capitalism in the Iranian youth (who don't adore our "foreign policy" but probably still adore American gadgetry, music, imagery), gently persuading them away from the radical right of the current establishment. Unfortunately, our leaders can only drum up fear and misunderstanding with the stance of attack. When did the government become so stupid? Oh 2000, that’s right. And of course, any friendly advance toward Iran now would not only be misunderstood and lost upon our rather one-sided (if I can be so bold) Israeli state subsidy but by this point and by the proof in action of this “administration”, any chance at subtlety has been not so subtley lost forever. I’m writing Nancy again today to impeach but I don’t think she can hear her constituents any longer. Stupid upon stupid, it’s now the American Way!

We already have one: It's called Iran. Iran is willing to dialogue on issues. The problem is the US government's refusal to accept "illegal warfare in Iraq does not mean they can expand it into Iran".

That's funny, I thought I just said that?

"multiple fronts" advocating for Iran warfare means: The GOP hasn't given up despite the Voters' 2006 decision. The US government no longer represents the people, and is disconnected. Time to peacefully, lawfully establish a lawful, new government that defends the Constitution.

We already "concentrated" on DNC or GOP for the 2006 election. Need to prosecute them. Quit tryign to have a political debate. They need to be in jail, not argued with. They are criminals.

For the last four years most in the MSM (with the exception of Chris Matthews and sometimes Diane Rehm) have allowed the "cakewalk in Iraq" crazies to get away with the same horseshit that the MSM allowed the "crazies" to get away in the run-up to the pre-emptive invasion of Iraq....LYING about WMD's in Iraq.

Micheal Ledeen, Reuel Marc Gerecht, James Woolsey, Bill Kristol, Cheney, Ari Fleisher (who should be in jail for outing Plame) have all been repeating unsubstantiated claims about Iran. Always calling Iran's nuclear program a nuclear "weapons" program. Yet the same folks who told us the Niger documents were false and much of the other weapons intelligence about Iraq was false are telling us that there is "no imminent threat" from Iran and that there is no "hard evidence" to back up these claims. Yet the majority of the MSMers allow these liars to repeat these unsubstantiated claims.

Deja "cakewalk in Iraq" VU

Most of these "crazies" need to be locked up so that they can not continue to perpetuate and create wars!

The Dems are going to make the same mistakes again I can see it already.
The reason for that is that there is very little diffence between the two parties. ( Except for a few, like Kucinich. )
The US needs another party to stand up for the people because in reality there is only one party

Maybe Ahmadinejad wants us to attack Iran, maybe that is his plan for silencing his domestic critics and consolidating power. Hey, it worked for Bush.

"We already “concentrated” on DNC or GOP for the 2006 election. Need to prosecute them. Quit tryign to have a political debate. They need to be in jail, not argued with. They are criminals."

I agree. BUT, we cannot prosecute 98 at once. Pick the "best" of the bunch and bash their heads in. (Will this get me banned? I don't mean LITERALLY.) Keep at them -- not once a month -- the scattered approach -- one week, Pelosi, the next week, Reid, the next week, Feinstein, etc.

It must be done with planning. And NEVER LET UP. I mean -- take this bunch and keep on them every week for a year. You can take on others from time to time -- but the core bunch -- constantly. No matter what the MSM does, no matter what the GOP does. No Mercy.

Case in point: MoveOn. They did their thing, didn't back down, in spite of Democrats and pundits and the GOP hammering them. They won.

Get a grip. Hillary just voted for the "Kyl Lieberman" amendment, which take the Bush just one more step to pre-emptively striking Iran based on unsubstantiated claims about Iran. Republican Senators Lugar and Hagel voted against it along with Kerry, Kennedy, Biden, Dodd, and 15 other senators. This legislation along with Rep Lantos war push HR 1400...we took one big step closer to doing damage to Iran.

Hillary "cheney'd" herself with this vote.

There will be a "war" with Iran, because AIPAC owns the Democrats AND Republicans in the U.S. Government. It's not just about big oil, disaster capitalism, or the Miltary Industiral Complex, but also about this invisible old man with a white beard up in the sky!

Deja "cakewalk in Iraq" Vu. They continue to make the same mistakes. Voting for the Kyl/Lieberman amendment was insane. Senator Webb begged the other Senators "let's discuss this" "remember the 2002 war resolution vote". Hillary will not be able to get away with her horseshit excuse about that vote "if only I knew then what I know now".

I am beyond disgusted at the entire U.S. Government, Corporate "News" Media, and yeah even the esteemed U.S. Military.

I'm with Ben Franklin, Abe Lincoln, and John F Kennedy. Ladies and Gentlemen we are living in Revolutionary Times.

The only question is, will you give your life for freedom? Your Job? Your Health Insurance? Your home? regards

If the Bush administration bombs Iran, I will hold the Democrats every bit as responsible for failing to be an adequate check on this administration's unfettered power, after winning the Fall elections last year. Yes, Hillary never “wanted to take bombing Iran off the table,” and the Democrats’ votes in both chambers last week regarding Iran, makes me ill. The likes of Harry Reid, John Kerry, Ron Wyden, Bob Casey, Carl Levin, Tom Harkin, Maria Cantwell, Mary Landrieu, Dianne Feinstein, Ben Nelson, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Rahm Emanuel, Tom Lantos, Jane Harman, John Larson, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, have all been every bit the pro-war hawk cheerleaders in saying “let’s bomb Iran” as much as can be said of Joe Lieberman, John McCain, Jon Kyl, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Jon Cornyn, and Lindsey Graham.

In fact, the Democrats have been the great enablers of the Bush administration since taking over in January. The case of Iran illustrates this unfortunate transgression quite nicely. Not to mention the spineless leadership of Nancy Pelosi as Speaker who has put next to no pressure on the Bush administration to change course on anything.

Where are all the Hillary supporters constantly said to be out there? I am not saying she does not have those who want her as president, but I do not trust the poll numbers being so high for Hillary, either.

If America bombs Iran, the Democrats have lost me forever. I would never vote for Hillary Clinton anyway and cannot see how she has this so-called huge lead in the polls, either. I will start voting for third party candidates but for no Democrat if the attack on Iran happens.

Let all the war crazies who want to bomb Iran be first on the front lines over there then, as well. The war against Iran is needless and ridiculous and defiles history, logic, reason, morality, and sanity.

If you all think that these people misjudged Iraq and that “cakewalk,” then you have not yet seen how dumb these people are regarding Iran. An attack on Iran will take that war to the east of Iran, and I do not think the United States knows what its about to encounter with such a stupid decision.

The politicians and policymakers and so-called "experts" in Washington know absolutely nothing about the people in the Modern Middle East. And I mean nothing. They are in way over their heads when it comes to knowing the people and cultures of the Middle East as Iraq has already proven and an attack will likewise demonstrate.

An organizational title like Secular Islam Summit is more than fishy - it's phony and a flat contradiction in terms. What is "secular Islam" supposed to mean? That's like a non-religious church, or a celibate orgy.

I really hate the government of Iran and what its proxies have done to Iraq - thanks to Bushco - but it would be the height of folly to try to take it down by the overt or covert use of force.Setting aside the vast size and rugged topography of the country, the Iranian regime is none other than the Shia clerical hierarchy. It has meticulously controlled not only of the government, but also the wealth of Iran for nearly thirty years. Then consider that over ninety percent of Iranians are Shi'i, and even if most of them
don't like many of their government's policies, any deadly threat to the nation coming from the justifiably distrusted USA is going to radicalize people and consolidate support for a regime that is already very firmly entrenched.
policies, use of force is

Rail against the republicans all you want. But the democrats are the ones who have failed to learn a lesson. We expect the republicans to be full of shit. It was the dems who were supposed to be our Great Hope. What a total fucking sham. What pussies. What spineless pussies. Sorry but the day that they made wire tapping legal - BY CONGRESSIONAL VOTE - was the day I signed off. The dems deserve to lose. I love this site, but honestly.. the dems don't give a shit what we think. They are the same as or worse than the republicans. Fuck them. Fuck them all.

http://www.iran-e-azad.org/stoning/women.html

"The penalty for adultery under Article 83 of the penal code, called the Law of Hodoud is flogging (100 lashes of the whip) for unmarried male and female offenders. Married offenders may be punished by stoning regardless of their gender, but the method laid down for a man involves his burial up to his waist, and for a woman up to her neck (article 102). The law provides that if a person who is to be stoned manages to escape, he or she will be allowed to go free. Since it is easier for a man to escape, this discrimination literally becomes a matter of life and death."

The above is the shari'a law, as it is defined in Iran concerning the penalty of stoning. Please note that the preperation for the victim is different for men and women. Please note that the woman is buried up to her neck, and a man to his waist. (this was the intent of the article I referanced, to show the discrimination between men and women in Iranian law)

It simply proves that the picture supposedly supported as an actual stoning of a woman in Iran by Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi and her "organization" is questionable at best. Since she, or anyone else can prove beyond the words of those who have an agenda to vilify Iran, Iranians, and or Muslims, we only have the Shari'a as defined by the Iranians to go by. Obviously, according to the Shari'a, as interpreted by Iranian law, the photograph is fake. This brings into question the motive and intent of Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi and her organization, and her actually tring to validate the photo as an actual stoning victim, instead of being "representitive" of what happens.

It would be nice for once that people, instead of being diverted by the "right wing rhetoric" into arguement and reactionary irrationalism. Confront them with facts, and ask them to dispute them in their own words. It is very easy to discredit a person who is simply repeating something another person said, and or is blindly following an ideology out of fear, or self seeking of power.

I dare anyone...with supporting evidence to the contrary, to dispute my claim that the photo is fake.

I defend her right to say what she said...Although I think she downplays the negative influence of US foreign policy..

Do sock puppets ever come unraveled?

Imagine a self-sustaining, clean, green, energy independent America, not having to kiss Saudi ass, nor kick Iraqi ass.

It's the U.S.'s, and the world's only hope.

Half a billion dollars could buy a lot of solar panels, build a lot of hybrid cars, and construct a lot of wind turbines. It'd also clear alot of pollution out of the air.

Imagine, then there'd be no need for 200, 000 mercenaries who could then have their efforts redirected to upgrading the united states' infrastructure of roads, bridges and dams.

and part 5, probably the most frightening.
