H&C: Don't Let Stephanie Miller Speak, She Might Make Sense!

Hannity & Colmes invited talk radio hosts Melanie Morgan (is it me, or is she looking MORE like Stiffler's mom every day?) and Stephanie Miller for their takes on the Rush Limbaugh brouhaha.

Watch Melanie completely miss the forest for the trees (truth teller? I'm surprised lightning didn't strike her right then and there) and go on uninterrupted while Sean barely gives Stephanie a minute to rebut and then comes the Fox bumper music. Major points to Stephanie for getting in "anal cyst" before they cut her off.

Anytime a Liberal or Democrat comes on these shows, he or she should with the following line: Am I going to be talked over or prematurely cut off during this segment?

That's it! Start that way !!!

Chubby McButtCyst ... meet your foil!

Hey, I was first! :)

By the way, it should have been:

...he or she should COMMENCE THE SEGMENT with the following line:

She did just about as good a job as I have ever seen out of a liberal on Insanity and Colmes. Not that liberals don't do well at public speaking... when they are allowed to speak! I loved the "I'm sorry was that a question? It sounded like a run-on talking point". Beeeeaauuuuutiful!

That would be nice, but Fox would probably edit it out. It's futile for Liberals, Progressives or anyone who isn't a pathological right wing liar to go on the network. Don't feed the beast!

True, but then it ends up on YouTube and Fox ends up with MORE egg on their face to clean up. :)

[Deleted. I'm done with your snotty bits about 'liberals.' They're flame bait and basically untrue. If you cannot conduct yourself civilly, you will be shown the door-Sitemonitor]

Why do any of these people give Melanie Morgan a forum to spout her phony nonsense and gibberish? The best was the night she was on PBS on The News Hour and her fake eyelash was hanging down. She was obnoxious and a couple days later, PBS to its credit, said she would NEVER be back on.

More networks should do this to her--but hey, we're talking Fox. The network of the 29 percenters.

lol, anal cyst, that's a new one for me:)
its a shame Miller didn't throw back the original Limbaugh Senator Betray-us quote when asked about the move-on ad.

I would love to see Stephanie Miller get to debate with Hannity in a non Hannity controlled environment, she would tear him and his GOP talking point rhetoric to shreds.

I understand that a blog is usually reserved for like-minded people. But as a former liberal turned conservative, I'm tired of being labeled a neocon, war-monger, homo-phob, bigot. At some point you get tired of it and want to fight back. The outrageous stuff I read on this and other liberal blogs appears to me to be anti-American and against most of the traditions and history that I think are great about this country.

[Well, maybe you need to find a like-minded blog, if learning manners and following the rules here is beyond your ken-Sitemonitor]

Colmes is a disgrace.

He's "trying to figure out what Limbaugh" is saying??? GROW A F-ING PAIR, COLMES.

Alan Colmes=A Tool's Tool

I am sorry, but that is the dumbest show.

And I must inject....Stifflers mom was actually hot...by the time i got drunk enough to boink Melanie Morgan I'd be too drunk to get it up

George Soros does not fund media matters.

That "Anti-America Left"? is she fucking kidding us? I guess she is if she says Rush is a Truth Teller! I'm sorry but who is more unAmerican then the Republicans, the party who hates our constitution, they only support our troops as long as our troops support them. Who was it who sent them to fight in a war based on lies without the correct number of soldiers to keep the peace without the proper body armor or up-armored vehicles? Without a real plan? Without an exit strategy? the only thing the Asshole Republicans sent our soldiers to Iraq WITH is mercenaries...that's it, no real back up, just murderers who can blame or frame a REAL American soldier for their crimes.

Oh how much I hate the Republicans who Hate America!!!

Hey, BigKAD (you sure your handle shouldn't be BigCAD?):

[deleted--we're deleted BigKAD because he is unable to post civilly. Don't you start down that path too.]

Conservatism is a rotting, stinking husk of an ideology. It's hostile to all things good and decent and fair and salutary. That's why it's unfit to govern. That should be obvious, but apparently it isn't to you and your myopic ilk.

All the great things about this nation flowed from the enlightened thinking of progressive liberalism -- from the Founding Fathers on down.

Could anyone be more brainwashed than the followers of Rush Limbaugh? They hear him say something one day, and he denies it the next. Not only does he deny it, but he claims that anyone who heard it correctly the first time is out to get him.

That's the great thing about being a zombie...all you need is brains!!!(ba da da dada) (sorry John)

Media Matters is completely upfront about who they are and what they do.
From the "About Us" section at MM:

"Media Matters for America is a Web-based, not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media."

These radical right-wing nut jobs like to pretend there is something sinister and misleading about MM,but the truth is,they simply document everything these people say.
They apparently don't like that fact.
I bet you dollars to donuts that when all those right wing talking heads met with Bush,a big priority was figuring out how to go after MM and other top Liberal sites.

mudshark with all due respect, you don't know anything about me. I was a liberal once, just not of the reactionary kind that is prevalent today. I always believed in a social safety net and I believed that liberals were for the down-trodden and for the oppressed. I won't go into all my reasons for a conversion but a big part of it was getting past the worthless public education I received and I started reading history, especially our military struggles. It didn't take long to see the greatness of America in those pages, unfortunately, I came of age just after the Viet Nam war where I saw those on the left spitting on our soldiers.
The bottom line is that I never thought I would see the day when America liberating 50 million people would be ignored by those on the left. This is not the Harry Truman, Scoop Jackson, John Kennedy Democratic party anymore. In the words of John Kennedy:

Well, no I haven't. I am Canadian and have lived in Korea since before the Bush administration. I grew up in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and used too ski, shop and dine out in NY State, but that was back in the 70's & 80's. People seemed normal to me. I have been across New England several times, en route to Eastern Canada, but again normal. I take it things have changed, quite a bit, in the last 10~15 years.

1. You were never a Liberal
2. No one ever spit on American soldiers, it's a lie. If it did, only that person who did it is responsible, not a political ideology or entire movement. So you claim to have come of age right after the Vietnam war and saw leftists spitting on soldiers. Exactly at what age did you abandon your so-called Liberal leanings and read all these history books? I detect a gapping logical flaw in your claim to have been a Liberal.
3. You call causing 4 million refugees a liberation? The only thing Iraqis have been liberated from is their lives.
4. Your arguments are so weak that you have to lie about having been a Liberal to try and bolster your point. We see that little game from you trolls all the time, we're not buying it.
5. If you don't like the points of views expressed by C&L, you can go to a right wing blog, they won't let us post there. At least you get to say what you like here as long as you don't flame bait. You seem to have a problem with that.

The sound you hear is JFK and the Founding Fathers spinning in their graves over what the Dim Son and his criminal administration are doing to this country in the name of "liberty".

anti American?????....me thinks you've drank too much of the koolaid.....

I don't really know what bigKad said, but I do believe there are conservatives that aren't neo-cons. So does everyone. But to support THIS GOP tars you with the neo-con brush. Right now it stinks. A vote for them is to vote neo-con.

Ok I did the shot of mescal.
“Rush Limbaugh is a truth teller”? “One of the most effective communicators of our generation”? I think she was masturbating while she was saying it but I am not sure. It looked like Steph was giggling while this “person” Morgan was talking.
Thank god for mezcal.

What happened to Morgan’s lips anyway?

Ah.. ha... I'm still laughing at that fat-ass Hannity.

"You mean ol' Liberals are taking Rush out of context. Just listen to the edited/cut transcript and you will see that Rush was really saying he wants to give each solder a puppy! Only mean ol' liberals would pick on poor little Rushie! Mean liberals like Obama who said all soldiers like to kill puppies and Murtha who said he would help them kill the puppies and Hillary who said that she would eat puppies (you would hear it if you listen to them in the limited right context like I do!). I never take ANYTHING out of context and twist it! LEAVE RUSHIE ALONE!!! HE'S A HUMAN BEING!!!"

And what's with Melanie Moron? She looks like she's been drinking anal-cyst juice again. I guess it would explain a lot!

Oh, I can’t watch any more. Hannity is too nuts. ( I did like the anal cyst point though)

I wonder how these bizarro people--Sean Ins-Hannity and Melanie Morgan (has she cornered the market on botox and collagen injections?)--sleep at night. I feel sorry for their families and whatever 'friends' they might claim to have.

If that's your idea of LIBERATION, your are a bloodsucking cur after all. I retract my niceties above @67. What you see as "liberation" of a state, I see as an illegal occupation of a foreign nation, whose interests have not even been considered, in the rush to steal their oil, and to build army bases to keep them oppressed for generations to come. Sorry I spoke, above, I'm sure.

I'm all for completely dropping the neo-con label. It's misleading. Have you actually seen any other Conservatives other than Ron Paul and Chuck Hagel really resist the Bush regime and its agenda? No, they've been enabling it all along and the so-called moderates like John McCain and Arlen Specter have been the worst enablers of them all. Calling people neo-cons only obfuscates the fact that Conservative ideology is inherently corrupt to its very roots. Was it neo-cons that impeached Clinton for a blow job or supported Hitler before Pearl Harbor? No, just garden variety Conservatives. It's not neo anything, it's Conservatism plain and simple that's the problem.

Oh yeah, liberating them from running water, electricity, not being blown-up, not living in fear of sectarian violence, not being displaced and best of all, not being occupied. Now that is what I call liberation, freedom at its finest.

Now, since the population of Iraq was 28 million prior to the fleeing refugees, I would just love to hear about the other 22 million people that you included in this liberation. Clearly, you have liberated yourself of facts and that should not be ignored.

No one is ignoring anything. Others just seem to have a much better grip on reality.

Former liberal turned conservative my ass. Just be honest and then go away.

Honesty, my dear, is rarely an attribute of conservatives.

melanie morgan is nothing more than a bush-apologist and a total c*nt. I understand she didn't even finish high school. Guess that basically gives her a PhD in right wing circles, though.

Stephanie Miller is HOT!

Honesty, my dear, is rarely an attribute of conservatives.

Ever notice that the self-proclaimed "conservatives" turn every topic into being all about them. Egoist seems to be a far better term.

Why is it liberals are witty and adroit, and fun to read, while conservatives use the usual rants like, "you pathetic jerk," often misspelled? Even though the news is grisly, I smile reading comments at C&L. Melanie's lips aren't grisly, just tragic. And, I wonder how Rush likes everyone on the planet knowing about his anal cyst problem? I'll be thinking about that all day, like a bad tune that gets stuck in your head.

Goddamn...Stephanie Miller is ONE HOT MAMA!

Looks like someone got outed and won't be back to answer any questions.

Hannity has taken putting words into others peoples mouths to an art form.

I cannot bellieve how the Right has sprinted to the defense of this jerk. Limbaugh is a junkie. A junkie is a junkie until he commits himself to recovery. This ass never commited himself to recovery, as evidenced by his continued arrogance and dishonesty. What evidence is there of Rush attempting any of the following?

Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

Rush admit he was wrong? Are you kidding?
Rush apologize? I think Michael J Fox gave up on that one.

And yet all these right wingers are jumping to his defense. The man is a JUNKIE. And they lose all credibility by defending him.

Isn't it amazing how the right wing nut jobs defend each other to the death no matter how heinous the offense. The don't give a rats butt that Limbaugh's comments were not only highly offensive to any number of soldiers, but divisive. They're so despicable.

Your worthless Nixon and Reagan references [Deleted. Not allowed-Sitemonitor] One of the differences between me any you, I'm not beholden to a politician or even a political party. My core beliefs sustain me and a big part of them is conservatism. The closest political party I can gravitate to is Republicans, albeit they are not perfect and in many areas not conservative enough for me. I believe in the American people and the greatness of our capitalist system. I believe in the greatness of our military and see that they have been a force for good in this world. Why don't I ever hear liberals speak of these things? It's because they can't understand the simple fact that America does not need to be perfect to be great. You only see the bad, I see the fact that over the last 100 years we have liberated millions of people from the evils of Nazism, Totalitarianism and communism.

You can't say the same because liberalism is solely dependent on individuals acquiring and maintaining political power and then developing bureaucracies to solve everyone's problems that magically never get solved. Thus the never ending cycle of the do-gooder liberal needing to stay in power. That's why your hero's bill and hillary are driven by polls and political ambition and not core beliefs. I just think this is the wrong way to look at things.

These comment-bombs we throw back and forth are a waste of time. I'd love to debate you over a beer but suffice to say we wouldn't change each others minds.

As you can see, the main context of my comments are that I believe liberals are wrong. The big difference here between you and I can be stated in a comment I heard from a popular conservative: "Conservatives think liberals are wrong, liberals think conservatives are evil".
How can we have a rational conversation when this is the starting point?

[Bill and Hillary are not heroes on this site. Get that straight. We're not pleased to host someone who lies about this site to our faces, on the site. Welcome to USA talk radio. This is where the host invites the listnership to call in and comment but no sooner than they can open their mouths, the hosts does the talking.
Whose invited who to the H&C show?
We have a saying above the 49th...".If you're doing all the talking....how are you learning?"

Faux is Fiction @ 16:

I keep waiting for some liberal to come on H&C and just say to Hannity... " You are full of shit "... It would be short, but the best thing ever imaginable coming out of that show, outside of Hannity being poisoned.

Actually, Stephanie Miller did have a great line along those lines, a while back, leading me to start listening to her morning radio show. Her quote was "Sean, you're always wrong, that's why God made you pretty."

I love it when these hacks spout things like, "they took that out of context" or "they're bending the truth to fit their own agenda" when defending their arguments. ..I don't believe you were a liberal..........no way no how..

I do, it's what happens to liberals when they lose their way, are far away from home, etc. and in a spate of fear grab a hold of the first constant voice they hear. It is exactly the same process and reasons that leaves people vulnerable to cults.

Often and for far too long that constant voice has been Limbaugh, etc. consistent and prolonged exposure turns the most reasoned, rational, and reality based liberal into a mind numbed robot, uh, I mean dittohead.

I know, it happened to me ... a liberal who lost her way, became a conservative (gack - I even had the hypno neocon limbautomy eyes) ... but I was snapped back to reality shortly after the 2000 elections .. all totalled I spent 6 years in the neocon yuckesphere.

I have a crush on Stephanie. She rocks. If her show's not on in your city call all the talk radio stations and ask them to carry it

I have raised this point before but I think that it bears repeating, Whenever the superpatriots like Hannity and Limbaugha and O'Reilly, et al, wish to condemn those who have criticized General Petraeus, someone should remind them that generals in the past like MacArthur and Westmoreland were not above being criticized for their reckless behavior. But the Democrats, and apparently liberals, are apparently being once again cowed into believing that they are unpatriotic if they were to point out these obvious truths concerning military figures like MacArthur and Westmoreland.

Every time someone on the left wants to talk about political conversions, they pull David Brock out of their A##. BigKAD @ 18: ..I don't believe you were a liberal..........no way no how..

mudshark with all due respect, you don't know anything about me.
"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and success of liberty."

It did happen, but it wasn't only the left wing who did it (they called the Vietnam Vet "Baby Killers" duirng the first televised war, but the right wing did it too - they blamed the Vietnam vet for loosing the war . . . one WWII vet at one of the major vet organizations (not the DAV) hung up on my ex husband when he was looking for help saying "You pussies lost us a war, why should we help you?"

But you are correct, the actions of some on the left should not tar the whole movement. Just like the actions by some on the right should not tar their movement.

Actually this is still the party of Harry Truman, Scoop Jackson, and John Kennedy. If we, the Democratic party, learned ANYTHING from the Vietnam War it was not to go in undermanned, undersourced, and underplanned military action that would draw us into a quagmire. (Your party did just that and more)

But your party continues on the same path as Nixon did with the Vietnam War, you learned nothing. The Republicans are not the party of my grandparents, the one of fiscal responsibility. If anything the Nixon years taught your party how to be even better at corruption, enemies lists, and polticalization of departments of government that the citizenry need to be able to trust for our form of government and all it;s promise to be successful.

Amazing. I am probably about the same age as you, actually had a good college education, and read much history, and yet have come to different conclusions than you and have a different character. For one, I don't associate the left with anti-soldier - perhaps because I work with the military and deal with soldiers and officers. For another I don't see the left as reactionary. I see them as the only ones willing to conserve the lessons of history that Habeas Corpus is an essential principle of government, separation of church and state is good, wealth inequality is not good, elimination of regulations is not good, privatization of military, police and firefighters is not good.

I have read history about people being imprisoned by the royal court for basically no valid offense, one of the reasons which resulted in enactment of Habeas Corpus. I have read much about the Auto da Fes, the crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, the burnings of "witches", heretics and scientists when church and state were one and individuals did not go along with church. I know about what the U.S. citizenry went through when there was large wealth inequality and children had to work in the factories, and what people experienced when there was no FDA and food was spiked with poisons like lead, in the late 1800's. I know about what happened (in New York City for example) when firefighter groups were privately run.

In short, I have read the history leading up to why many "liberal" principles in government were enacted, and know what the country was like before they were enacted. I don't see how anyone could read history thoroughly, love the country and its people, and have a Republican mindset. It's just makes no sense unless the lessons of history just didn't sink in.

Well said Clytemnestra. I remember the harassment of the military during those years and my own personal experiences with "No dogs and sailors allowed on the grass" posted in front of homes. These were homes in predominantly right wing neighborhoods. The spitting and other harassment happened for several reasons and you were correct in saying that it came from both the right and the left. The left shouting "baby killers" and other remarks because they just simply hated the war. The right because they felt let down because they knew they were losing the effort to continue the war. Not unlike the right that wants to keep the war in Iraq going and for the same reasons: They like war just as long as they aren't the ones fighting it.

The left has matured to the point that they no longer blame the military for being involved in the war. We all know that it is Bush and the people who profit from the war that keep it going. Our military understands this too and that pushes the majority who oppose the war to far outnumber those who support the war. This is not a left-right issue alone. It is an issue between decent people who don't want to participate in all the death and destruction so that a few elitists can prosper and those who are too stupid to figure out that they are being used to further the goals of those elitists.

Hannity: if you think Dems won't pay for soldiers' armor, you have the big bucks, as does Limburgher cheese who certainly has the big bucks., why don't you cough up a few hundred thou? clearly your Bush pals will let you shelter it as a tax deduction., you
self serving cowardly atheistic (not that I care about being an athiest)., phoney. You look strong enough to serve., why don't you head over there for a year or two? We'll still be there...and please get rid of the dried up fig that is supposedly representing us liberals, ....what a joke he is. Soros can give his money where he wants just like your corporate pals Greenspan and Buffett, and golf partner to Daddyo G.H.W. Bush - Bill. You all stink.
STOP THE WAR IMMEDIATELY, SUPPORT THE TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME.

Clytemnestra @ 115 - You had an adolescent crush on John Dean? Rather embarrassed to admit that, um, er, so did I. My dyed-in-the-wool Democratic parents would have been horrified to know their teenaged daughter harboured secret (if rather naive and innocent) fantasies about that conservative bad boy.

Thank you … and IMHO you said it better than I did

Okay I'm giggling cause my liberal parents would have been horrified too if they knew. Actually I was so upset that he was involved, but that he was changing his black hat for a gray one at least.

I wonder if he know's how many adolescent/teenage crushes he fueled during the Watergate years.

Clytemnestra - I have a feeling John Dean is perfectly aware of how many swooning teenage crushes he inspired, although it's probably well after the fact. At the time, he was doing his best to be an empathetic witness in a bid to save as much of his own arse as he could and keep it out of jail.

Still, conservative bad boy or not, I'm glad to see he's done some good in later years.

It maybe the waining crush in me but I do believe that his conscience took hold of him and compelled him testify and break ranks ... though I don't dismiss saving his own butt wasn't one of the motivating factors

BigKAD @ 100:

"Your worthless Nixon and Reagan references" Worthless because they proved you wrong? What he said was documented and the truth-oh yeah I forgot-The Truth is anathema to the Con movement.

"One of the differences between me any you, I'm not beholden to a politician or even a political party" Wrong again. We all here are pretty much the same-not beholden. You don't have exclusivity on that.. You are speaking of something of which you know nothing. Sad that you think you're clever, really.

"I believe in the greatness of our military and see that they have been a force for good in this world. Why don't I ever hear liberals speak of these things?' Um because you're wrong wrong wrong.

"You can't say the same because liberalism is solely dependent on individuals acquiring and maintaining political power and then developing bureaucracies to solve everyone's problems that magically never get solved." Wrong. Even if it were so, you are preferring the bureaucratic juggernaut of bureaucracies, The Pentagon? The Thugs and complicit Dems can't give them enough money.

""Conservatives think liberals are wrong, liberals think conservatives are evil".
How can we have a rational conversation when this is the starting point?" Uh you're the one coming to this site calling names, making false accusations and out and out lying. Is that what they teach in Conservative school-"If you want a dialogue with others that don't think exactly as you do (and as conservatives we're used to everyone being 'On Point') start by insulting them."

Dude. Like I said before go to Hillary's site if you want to get some digs in at Bill. Go to the Democratic web site if you want to make blanket statements about a group of people. We are not what you think we are and you are woefully unprepared to deal with that.

Moron and insHannity are crack addicts

i wonder if there is anyone from the right who can state their case RATIONALLY. i mean, liberals seem to ba able to calmly, rationally, and thoroughly state their case. they seem to only be able to bring hostility, hysteria, fear, and xenophobia. whats up with that?

i meant " BE able to calmly..."

BigCAD:

If I were you -- and thank heavens I'm not -- I'd quit while I was behind. You, like so many deluded "conservatives," are woefully out of your depth.

I love how Melanie Morgans mouth goes sideways when she starts to get mad.

The above statement is in no way substantive, but at present I have no words of sanity and wisdom, my anger prevents me from anything close to intelligent commentary, if I ever had any in the first place :)

what a waste of airtime this show is. all blowhardee about meaningless stuff.
Stephnaie was funny though, what with ass pimple and long winded talking points comments.

And with a deft touch, likened to that of a concert pianist, the surgeon probed the vast anal regions of Rush Limpdick, Slowly but surely, he wrestled the angry beast from its rectal sanctuary. Finally the surgeon , exhausted and sweaty from his mortal battle, raised the malodorous orb to the light and it was.... Sean Hannity.

Thats all i got

These fuckers are sick they never interview NCO to ask their opinion, it's always an officer, some west point prick and that's what they trained for. I'm surprised the public hasn't caught on yet. I'm surprised the Dem's havn;t caught on to this

Yeah Scamitty & Rush.
We take you out of Kotex.
Big haters of our troops.

It is time to ask the wing-nuts: Isn't all this trashing of Media Matters based on your resentment of Media Matters founder David Brock? After all Media Matters would not exist if Brock had not been a former conservative who spilled the beans on the unethical and dishonest behavior of the neocons.

*91 Otay, thanks. Stephanie should have caught that immediately. Petraeus has never seen combat. I don't know how she repressed Hilary-laughs the whole time, actually.

Sure. They hate Brock cause he is aware they lie.
They make dollars via their lies.
If they told the truth like Brock they'd be broke.

Melanie Morgan--Fake hair, fake lips, fake argument, end of story.

We should all march up Billo's driveway

This FOX horsepucky should stop.

morgan's face is the 9th wonder of the world

with multi face lifts and all that botox, its amazing she can even talk..as it is, she sounds like a bad ventrliquist

saying that...miller has a real prob thinking on her feet

im sorry, but she stumbled over her own prepared ad libs, and basically left it to wimpy colmes to state the facts of what el druggo really said

im still waiting for someone to ask the el druggo apologists, what the fuck he has ever really done for the troops, other than to take one trip to afghanistan....whoopeedeedoo

and steph left out the best thing el druggo said about hackett, when he called him a "staff puke"

ya...great supporter of our vets

and fuck hannity, another anti education college dropout who's entire vocabulary consists of talking points
