Paul will not win the Elephant's nod but, he serves a more important function of splitting the Republican Party.

Oh, believe me, that Matthews interview is coming soon to a C&L post near you. I sent in these TDS clips over a day ago and gmail must have went crazy and took a day to get them there. so there's a bit of a backlog on TDS clips right now, but trust me, the Matthews intervew is there, safe & sound, and in the works. :)
I too was hoping for the Matthews interview. It was awesome! It goes to show just what type of phony hack he is.

Just wanted to pass on a suggestion...
I've noticed that the audio on a lot of the video clips at this site have audio that is quite difficult to hear (even at volume set to full). When creating these clips, it's always a good idea to "normalize" the audio. That is -- to keep the audio levels at a standard volume where one does not have to crank the volume to full to be able to hear them.
Again, just a suggestion. Love the work you do, C&L!!

Last night's Matthews segment: BEST. DAILYSHOW CLIP. EVER.
Even provoked an argument in the living room: I insisted (based purely on SPECULATION) that Stewart wanted to behave and didn't plan to go there with the 'f' word. His hand was forced. Matthews was all "Bring it on", and then when actually faced with an actual fight (which CM professed to love sooooo much the same evening on Olbermann - does the irony get any thicker?) he whines and folds. All talk.
But we knew that about the blond one.

OT: Prez. bush just vetoed the "children's health care" proposal which passed both
the U.S. Sentate and U.S. House. But, even tho Senate apparently has sufficient
votes to over-turn his veto, the House does not. That total idiot sitting on his throne
in the W/H needs to listen to the people.
The ReThugs cancelled when Tavis Smiley told them they would have to do more than yell "M-F--ers, I want more iced tea!"
They gotta have that M-F--king' Iced Tea, ya know.
Now, we need to ask all of the House Negroes supporters of the ReThugs why is Mike Steele from Maryland the only GOPer to call out his peeps for their No-Shows, especially if they're trying to recruit African-Americans and Latinos into the party.
Trying to pass legislation to run them out, and snubbing events like this is not the way to go. Too much Kool-Aid.
Funny how trolls like to appear on sites like this and refer to the "Democrats Plantation," and their own candidates don't even have the cobbles to show up for a debate like this one they stiffed.

Anyone who has Coultergeist on is automatically a phony hack of the Frist Order, from Matthews to Morning JoeBlow. But it was fun watching JS rip Matthews a new one & trash his book drop. It sorta stopped him from obsessing over Hillary for a few seconds. If I was her, I'd take out a restraining order on him. Yikes!

Why all the hubbub about republicans? If you want to see a republican reach out to the African American community (males in particular) all you need to do is go to a public restroom and observe.
John Stewart owned Matthews last night. It was terrific. John has a b/s meter that was off the chart and he let Tweety know it as did the audience. It was the best interview I've seen--John was not in the mood for any of Matthew's crap.
I only wish Stewart had asked Matthew's about his constantly mentioning the Clinton's every time he opens his big fat gob--it's like he has Tourette's Syndrome.
Matthews listens to no one because he is too busy thinking about what "clever" thing he is going to say next.
I'm so glad others watch him so I don't have to.
This was a funny and insightful clip, but the Daily Show segment a few days ago featuring Willmore's visit to Sylvia's Restaurant in Harlem was one of the most hilarious things I have ever seen. It would be great to get it onto C&L.

This interview was priceless!!!! The whole concept of HIS book is 'listening' . Imagine that ..Chris Matthews ..Listening. But he was last night and HE even has to know he was had.

You have to remember that the "constituency's" only contact with any minority is from television and or the service industry. Any notice usually gotten is always in the form of backhanded compliments at best even if our success is rightfully earned.
I think the footage shot in the enormous empty media rooms is just as important--why should the repubs care about skipping the debate if the media can't be bothered to show up either?
