Bill O'Reilly wants you to know that partisan politics bore him, but nevertheless, he is compelled to warn you about the very scary possibility of President John Edwards, who will *gasp* respect the Constitution, *aiyeee!* protect your civil rights and *horror of horrors!* honor the concept of habeas corpus, the very bedrock of civil liberties since the Magna Carta. {{shudder}}

Since Kucinich is sensibly calling for the immediate withdrawal of the troops from that quagmire and slaughterhouse in Iraq, it is almost a sure bet that O'Reilly [who is a chickenhawk] would claim that Kucinich is anti-patriotic and unamerican. Hearing O'Reilly speak brings to mind the line from Shakespeare: "All sound and fury, signifying nothing."

Because Hillary (and to a lesser extent Barack) are the best thing that could happen for the Republicans. Remember, this is a party that thrives on hate speech and bigoted fear right now. Even Hillary or Barack wins, they can always rally the base against them to get support through fear at the mid-term elections.

On the other hand, an Edwards with a good VP would pull a TON of the middle and mid-right vote. It would be a crushing victory (dare I say a "mandate"?), and end the God-

The right fears Edwards the most; believe it. Heck, that's almost enough reason to vote for him alone... He could still "surprise" everyone by winning by a bit in Iowa (despite the media ignoring him). The then media would HAVE to cover him and it would carry him through the nomination. So now is the best time to attack for the right, in my opinion.

If it's true that you can tell a lot about someone based not only on the friends he keeps, but also on his enemies, then I'd say this is one of the best endorsements John Edwards could get.
