Glenn Greenwald is my hero. As always, good job Glenn!

Senator Chris Dodd is courageously defending the Constitution by vowing to fillibuster the immoral new FISA bill. Harry Reid is vowing to fight him all the way. Harry Reid is a sellout to the telco. lobby.

Please call your Senator and tell him/her to stand with Chris Dodd and DEFEND the 4th Amendment!

Don't give up! We must fight for the right not to be wiretapped without a warrant. No immunity for past crimes!)

The elitist Corporate Media hack's basic premise based on false balance is that if a politician is right or honest, they need to tear them down and discredit them. But if they are wrong or are lying, they look for the silver lining. Since objectivity has been discarded for the new Fox News driven "Fair and Balanced" routine, journalists no longer even try to find out who's telling the truth or how accurate their statements are. They just construct a narrative about how the left is somehow always wrong, and the right is always right, even when they aren't (which is pretty much always). We should be working journalists (as in working the ref) to be accurate, not "fair." To be even handed always works to the advantage of the one who is telling a lie because it delegitimizes the truth and lends lies undue credibility.

“Are you smarter than a journalist?” Now that would make a kewl TV game show. It would be fun for kids of all ages, too.

That realization can't occur to them. The idea that Feingold -- or Dodd -- actually believe in what they are saying and doing is something they're incapable of ever believing. Because these Beltway journalists are empty and self-absorbed and consumed with pettiness and believe in nothing, they assume that everyone else is as barren and vapid as they are -- so barren and vapid that they see no distinction between catty chatter about Edwards' haircuts and alerting Americans to how radical this government has become, except that the catty chatter is way more fun.

Thai is the best ANALysis of these asses in the media.

Kutrz maintains that the MSM is responsible for the changing opinions on the war? Pure BS. He can believe what he wants, but when the MSM was far behind the curve on this one... it appears to me that the MSM ran around and got in front of public opinion.

There is no MainStreamMedia...there's only a CORPORATE MEDIA! NOTHING makes the newstainment programs that would upset its corporate sponsors.

A case in point is that the corporate media is NOT covering Chris Dodd's threatened filibuster of the Senate FISA bill that'd give retroactive immunity to the telcos. for spying on us without a warrant! And why aren't they covering it? Because the telcos. are some of the largest advertisers on the networks!! If the telcos are found guilty the judgement could be HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS!! Criminal liability is also in play.

If we had a real media it'd be the lead story. But we have only a corporate media and the story is censored!

Sometimes the "facts" aren't fair, why do people pretend they are? we need sharp eloquent minds, like Kasparov, that guy has a brain the size of Bush's ego.

There are no real journalists anymore. They have sold out to partisan loyalties and a big paycheck.
