Pfffft...Iran? I'm already thinking about bombing Fartknockistan! Keep up people!

dan's picture

Oh great, now here at home everyone who owns a bicycle is going to be placed on a no-fly list and have their phone conversations monitored. (not that they weren't all ready)

Liberal AND Proud's picture

Can they please keep down the noise.

I can't hear freedom ringing.

Rusty Shackleford's picture

This is what winning feels like? It feels kind of crappy.

ysbaddaden's picture

But we're whining!

BDM's picture

Damn cyclists!

Dr. Acula's picture

And there's also the American Brigadier General who took some shrapnel from a roadside bomb. Yeah, we're winning!

Samson-'s picture

"winning" in GOP parlance has just about as much meaning to the GOP as notions of "morals", "values", "ethics", "patriotism", etc...

the GOP's defintions of these notions are all maleable--based on their need at the moment and their ability to play the MSM like perpetual fools. and i pity the fool.

and the dems? who? i gave up on those clowns....

The crooked way of looking at the world and winning took a different turn. Turns out the US government is making a promo film highlighting the good things about visiting/touristing in the US. So part of the film has the Niagara Falls - except it is the Horseshoe Falls - the only falls 100% on the Canadian side of the border, and the view shown in the film (according to US sources quoted in Toronto Star) can only be seen from Canada. Perhaps US is tired of bombing Iraq and will now slowly and gently invade Canada instead.

Damn cyclists!

I'm going to be riding my freedom bicycle now ............ opposed to my "Hurtu" .......... oh no wait there is a aggression sympathiser in France again, so the US likes them again ......

fsegssw's picture

Who says it was a bomb? Maybe the cyclists legs caused so much friction that his thigh's reached critical mass?

O'Racist: Tonight, on the Factor, bicycle terrorists. Only liburls ride bicycles, so this terrorist must be a liburl, hence all libruls are terrorists.

The "mind" of the reich-winger is predictable and yet quite scary.

Bomb wounds brigadier general
U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Dorko was injured Monday when a roadside bomb exploded near his vehicle in Baghdad, Pentagon sources said. He suffered shrapnel wounds and has been evacuated to Germany, the sources said.

Well , it proves that the bomber wasn't a Chimpy blood relative , anyway .........They managed to stay atop their bicycle , obviously ; unlike the numbnut in the Oval Office who fashions himself as an elder Lance Armstrong .............

He wasn't a suicide bomber, he was trying to get around drug testing to win the Tour next year. Back to the drawing board.

chris dodd is on cnn with woolf. Please capture it, John, or anybody. This is a priceless exchange going on right now where wolf is trying to suggest to dodd that mukasey is such an ok candidate for advocating the president over the constitution!

From the article:

No group claimed responsibility for the bombing, but it bore the hallmarks of al Qaeda, which has often used suicide bombers to devastating effect in attacks on Iraqi security forces. (emphasis added)

No, we don't know who did it - but it gives us another chance to conflate Iraq and al Qaeda.

Winning corporate style means making money, great heaping gobs of money. So what if it's blood spattered? Corporations aren't people. Don't have blood. Blood is for suckers (mammals).

I felt so guilty for bursting out laughing when i read about the cycle-bomber this morning...but the picture is my mind was so in contrast to bill kristol declaiming about the many ways that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard is arming the Iraqi Shiites. Well, at least now we have irrefutable evidence that he was correct!

For people who get big, raging hardons for war, neoconservatives sure are bad at waging them.

That was my first thought exactly. Depeninding on what that bicycle suicide bomber was wearing we may be getting a visit from the suede-denim secret police any day now.

An Average Joe's picture

The suicide bomber is part of the "last throes of the insurgents"; it's just taking longer than Dickless Cheney expected....by about 3 1/2 years.

Paul's picture

No end in sight.

And the media-appointed "top tier" candidates are saying, "see it through 'til 2013 or beyond"? How stupid would we have to be to elect one of them?

BaScOmBe's picture

not to worry! we won't see any american caskets coming home either, right? because the preznit said not to.

The Air Force has been forced to use Russian commercial cargo jets to rush mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicles from the U.S. to Iraq because it does not have enough C-5 and C-17 planes to do the job, the service’s top civilian official said recently. Air Force Secretary Michael W. Wynne said, “Did [we] truly envision that we would fly war supplies with Russian-made airplanes? I don’t know.” 10/28

If someone passes gas at an inappropriate time the reich-wing freaks blame al Qaeda.

First it was mule-carts, then bicycles, now I am waiting to hear of the first suicide bomber on a skateboard. They already treat skateboarders like terrists where I'm from.

"bore the hallmarks..." Say that is a Cheneyism isnt' it? Who actually wrote that article. Or is it a WH press release? Sad.

Such nice people. Such a lovely climate. Remind me again why we stayed after the war?

I certainly hope the gentleman recovers well. That being said, this guy had to go into the army with a name like that. Middle school must have been difficult for him.

How the hell did they pack explosives into a bicycle? Was it the new Trek EFP?

Cheney/Halliburton is considering a bicycle subsidiary...

One last thought: We must not allow an exploding bicylce gap!

Apparently they are. However, airstrikes are *way* up, with predictable consequences for civilian casualties. Methinks someone in the Administration told the military that there is an urgent political requirement for fewer troop casualties, long-term consequences be damned.

why am i hearing so many kool aide mustach wearing repube talking head apologist claiming that violence in iraq is down 70%? i have yet to see any article or report officially claiming this. yet it get thrown out there as if it were proven common knowledge. who created this number and what method did they use to come to that conclusion?
