I swear, the man just can't help himself. It's got to be an involuntary reflex now.
When asked to comment on Hillary Clinton's show of emotion just before the NH primary, Rudy Giuliani invoked once again the sum total of his campaign platform: 9/11
I think everybody is their own person and they have to be their own person and this is not something that I would judge anybody on, one way or the other. And the reality is, if you'll look at me, September 11, the funerals... the memorial services...there were times it was just impossible...not to feel ...not to feel...not to feel the emotion.
He is now a parody of a caricature of himself. How can anyone take him seriously?

Rudy is irrelevant.
ps. Frist
Nicole,
The problem for this country isn't Rudy.
It's who MSM annoits.
IMO, C&L should keep its eye on the ball.
wah wah wah 9 11...Rudy ur outa' heah!!!!!!!!!!
Enough.
I like him. It all reminds us what the Repubs were using as an excuse for breaking law X all these years.
I do not envy politicians. I could not do it, just talk meaningless empty garb for weeks and month on end. During the primaries especially, when will they be able to find time for a normal meaningful conversation with someone?
Paging Dr. Phil.
As they used to say about a rotten act......."Give him the hook'. Whereapon a shepherd's hook would be used to catch the actor around the neck and haul him offstage.
Time to give Rudy the hook.
Look for Rudy to stop in the middle of his next speech and start sobbing " 9/11" over and over .
In other news, Tweety has just spent 20 minutes explaining how voters lied strategically to the pollsters . Voter hacking is now officially off the table .
You know, if Rudy had only invoked that day now, it would have meant something. But he is simply the boy who cried wolf. Even if he is serious, who's going to care what he says anymore?
Let him talk. It's not helping him. The more he says 9/11, the more he turns people off.
"…not to feel …not to feel…not to feel the emotion"
was that him gathering his thoughts, a nervous tic, a pavlovian response or a freudian slip or all of the above?
Uh, Rudy who?
What is the best site for delegate counts?
I have found:
http://www.thegreenpapers.com/P08/
http://demconwatch.blogspot.com/
Are these the best, or are there better ones out there?
Just think if we had a real media working in the public interest
that could broadcast to millions of households.
... and had on real people and experts.
First responders and Fireman still have something to say.
http://therealrudy.org/heroes.php/
Ed Begley, Jr. also had something to say

Thousands have a story to tell.
good lord, is he having a bet with someone to see how many times he can get 9/11 into his interviews or something ? it's laughable.
Il Duce is toast. Once he becomes the target, if he ever gets enough primary votes to become the target, he'll go down in flames immediately. What a buffoon.
klunk @ 13:
...or... was that simply a robotron3000 readjusting its programming?
11th!
Rudy showed some emotion...and perhaps even cried? Wow. That man is weak. /snark
Y'know, the more he does this the easier it is to see just how devoid of any substance he is that he has to fall back on the "9/11 Tourette's," but he's actually really cheapening the event. It's as if he only sees 9/11 in terms of his experiences and nothing more. We shouldn't have to get to a point where we feel like screaming "enough with September 11, already!" because, y'know, it was a major event that took thousands of lives. This guy's just creepy.
OK, so I was 19th.
Big whoop.
good gawd .. even in the set up you knew what he was going to say
It's the War Schtupid

WASHINGTON - The Pentagon is preparing to send at least 3,000 Marines to Afghanistan in April to bolster efforts to hold off another expected Taliban offensive in the spring, military officials said Wednesday.
Rudy has been in Florida all this time fixing the votes prior to everyone showing up. Hey, he's doing it for the 9/11 victims for crying out loud!
Rudy actually has an amazing talent. He could figure out a way to work "September 11th" into a recipe for chocolate chip cookies.
getalife @ 8:
you will find him front of Britney's hospital room.....she just kicked him out...
roflmao
Rudy is my favorite candidate
Pictagoras @ 26:
LOL I'm sure somewhere in New York, Rudy has convinced a baker to name a cookie after him, you know, The Rudy 9/11ani Cookie or something.
Richardson quit.
AP: Richardson ends presidential bid
MERRIMACK, N.H. - New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson ended his campaign for the presidency Wednesday after twin fourth-place finishes that showed his impressive credentials could not compete with his rivals' star power.
I would rather listen to Cliff Claven talk about Florida!
whenever i see rudy on tv i wait for him to say something about 9/11
i always watch the republican debates just to laugh at how sleepy fred is and rudy try to insert something about 9/11 into every answer
but lets not forget bush was the same damn way for most of his time in office and is just now getting off 9/11 being mentioned in every speech and to blame for every problem
Can you just imagine one more whole year of this goon mumbling "9/11" in everything he says.
It's the best the repugs have. Sign of where they are.....in the sewer.
Maybe we can put him in charge of FEMA, and then he can look forward to dealing with disasters the rest of his life. It seems to be his "one thing" he has in life.
does anyone else think that this little puss Giuliani MADE UP the "security problem" at his speech that was being held IN AN AIRPLANE HANGER..... and it had to be moved and all the people that went to the "event" was frisked and search before they got go to the speech
HE LOSES 2 ELECTIONS VERY BAD SO HE HAD TO UP SECURITY TO GET MORE PRESS
what a pussy
Wow, the news is coming fast:
Romney pulls his adds in SC and FL
and cnn.com reports Richardson pulling out while MSNBC.com reports that Richardson campaign denies it
ldzppln @ 30:
I'm very sorry to hear that. Dammit, we need more metropolitan states up first in the caucus/primary vote. Why is it a bunch of pig farmers and cowflap dodgers get to decide who goes and who stays? We need big cities and states where there is more of a chance to appeal to "less rural" voters. California, Illinois, New York, etc.
I cried on 9/11 too, can I be president? All I want is the strippers...
To be fair though I think he also was asked if he "he ever tears up". So of course he's gonna answer 9/11
Is it staring to make sense why there are so many 9/11 conspiracy theorists about?
It is not because the government has the power to keep that sort of thing a secret, with only a few benevolent martyrs to the truth about to enlighten we, the great uninformed.
(The hard-to-swallow - pardon the pun - proof of that is Lewinsky. We're adults, we can deal with it. We lost that one. We elected a president who likes BJ's. Oh My God.)
It is not because we can't handle the truth. This isn't a movie. We can handle the truth, despite our predilection for the WWE.
It is not because of any witticism attributed to Sherlock Holmes. The elimination of any other viable explanation does not necessarily lead straight to the only remaining answer. It may only suggest that the seeker has not done their research.
The conspiracists exist because of people like Rudy, and Kristol, and Rummy, and Rove, and their ilk. Those who would attempt to simplify the complex because it gives them a way out of responsibility and a way into advantage.
why is Rudy running on 9/11 when according to the NYFD and NYPD he did a BAD JOB??? and can someone please explain to me why it makes him a hero just b/c 9/11 happened while he was mayor and he got on TV and responded to it?
Eric in Ottawa @ 1:
Couldn't have said it better myself. Rudy is going nowhere fast. He thought he had the answer:9/11. Even the Rethuglicans are tired of him. He has done nothing but embarrass himself through this entire process. Using the bodies of 9/11 to get elected. He needs to just walk away. I'd take Duncan Hunter over him and some people have.
Rudy=Ill Douchey.

liberalcollegestudent @ 40:
Yeah, ironic, ain't it?
And, ironically enough, irony was supposed to have died on that date.
PATHETIC, isn't it? Meanwhile Bill Richardson has dropped out of the race. I did NOT expect him to go so FAST. I expected Democrats to "shovel" Gravel first.
Anyway, Richardson will be back, should a Democrat win.
http://osi-speaks.blogspot.com/2008/01/breaking-news-new-mexico-governor...
Richardson is out of the Presidential race, but he is a shoe-in for Secy of State no matter which Democrat wins. I like him and his supporters a lot, he ran a good campaign and is an honorable and decent man. I am also warming to the idea of John Edwards for Attorney General -- from Gonzo to Edwards would be like going from the dark of winter to springtime.
This will affect the race out west a bunch.
Wow, Rudy really likes to invoke my birthday a lot! Perhaps next year he can send me a gift ...
A broken record, a one-trick pony -- and a willing and able authoritarian.
Sept. 11 is my day. The hell with Rudy's sick and ghoulish appropriation.
As New York City resident I can tell you-he-Rudy is a piece of work that must NEVER BE ALLOWED to DEFIELD-sit in the WhiteHouse Office!!!
Sam @ 35:
Funny that Romney is goin' all in here in Michigan. Stupor Mundi(read: GW) had the support of the GOP establishment(read: AMWAY money) in '00 and McCain beat him. Now AMWAY is backin' Mittens- and I'm thinkin' that McCain will win this one, too.
This guys is like the old 1950's Chatty Kathy doll. Pull the string and every other phrase is "9/11", "9/11", "9/11". What a phony.
I hope the FDNY and every other firefighter in this country shoves 9/11 right up Rudy's ass on election night. The man is a total asshole.
Fear everyone!, I say FEAR........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Perhaps a compilation vid of Rudy's 9/11 quotes is in order.
No one can. Though, for a couple of hundred dollars per hour I'm sure you could get a good hooker, lawyer, or psychiatrist to convincingly pretend to take him seriously.
ROTFLMAO!
Rudy, stfu.
Thank you.
Next?
Rudy=Klink.
His campaign platform is not 9/11: it's "me, me me." He has shown little interest in what 9/11 means, or what lessons it can teach, other than how it can be packaged to the benefit of his political ambition.
pissed off patricia @ 54:
And get the fu*k out of my state. We need you like we need another hurricane. :(
liberalcollegestudent @ 40:
It's because he looked a lot less foolish than Bush on 9/11. Of course, Giuliani's made up for that more recently.
Congrats Scar: Rudy gets airtime to make a disingenuous straw man juxtaposition of his outpouring of emotion (whether genuine or not) for victims of a massacre with this woman's emotional outpouring under campaign-stress for her own election (whether calculated or not; I believe calculated by both Clintons, that's how cunning and competitive they are). Clinton lowers herself to such depths to undercut the campaign of Obama, a man that would have given us a real chance if allowed to finish with a clean election process in New Hampshire, while at the same time she lowers her own credibility nationally for voters in a general election. Dems just can't resist the temptation to sink the boat can they.
Mike @ 49:
It's a step up from his time as mayor, when you pulled the string and he said, every god damned time, "Fuck the First Amendment!"
Well considering the drama inherent in this whole presidential race, we need some comic relief. Go Giuliani!
Excuse me, Nicole, but I take him seriously!
...but only so he'll keep embarrassing himself.
This guy got shell-shocked by 911, and he never went to therapy over it, and he OBVIOUSLY never got over it. We don't need anymore leaders who are suffering from PTSD. We have enough already.
Rudy needs to go home, crawl under his bed, get in the fetal position, and let the grown-ups handle things from now on. We'll let him know when it's safe to come out.

My Dinner with Rudy
Scene: A room with a table. Rudy enters to have dinner with random voter.
Voter: What do you think of the chance for recession in the coming year?
Rudy: Well even if there is a recession it certainly is nothing like we faced on 9/11.
Voter: What do you think of the Patriots flawless season?
Rudy: Well as 9/11 taught us you can have a flawless execution and it only takes one slip up to lose everything.
Voter: What do you think of Brittney Spears meltdown?
Rudy: Well it isn't like 9/11 just happened she really ought to pull it together for the sake of the kids. I mean she needs to be a strong role model in this post-9/11 world.
Voter: Do you like sex?
Rudy: Why yes I do like sex, sometimes when you are really stressed out you need a release. I can tell you after 9/11 man I was really stressed and sex was quite a relief to me...let me tell you when my lady friend thinks of 9/11 it isn't a bad thing for her.
Voter: What is your favorite number?
Rudy: Well I won't say I have a favorite but two non-favorites are 9 and 11 especially when together. Those were trying days to be odd numbers I tell you.
Voter: Do you ever answer a question and not mention 9/11?
Rudy: Well I might have done so before 9/11 but it would be unpatriotic for me to do so after 9/11, you clear are engaging in pre-9/11 thinking that simply makes no sense in a post-9/11 world.
Voter: So I guess the answer to that is no?
Rudy: No I didn't say that, 9/11 is clearly not my favorite subject. It was a horrible tragedy and for you to suggest that I fixate on 9/11 is disrespectful to all the people who lost their lives on 9/11 and the people like me who were the heroes of 9/11. You should be ashamed of yourself. However, I respect your rights as an American to think whatever you like since that is exactly the kind of freedom that the terrorists of 9/11 were trying to take from us and I pledge not to let that happen in my presidency.
Voter: Oh by the way thank you for answering these questions Rudy.
Rudy: You're welcome
Voter: Rudy you didn't mention 9/11!!!!!
Rudy: See I told you I don't always talk about 9/11 I don't know where you people get that from. It is clearly some sort of fixation on this national tragedy. I know on 9/11 that the world would never be the same and people would be effected and clearly you are.
Continues on for 911 more pages...
The reason Rudy looked like a hero is that the TV cameras caught him as he was evacuating his $15 million super-duper disaster control headquarters -- which was collapsing because it happened to be located on the 23rd floor of WTC 7. Unlike Bush, he was able to respond like an adult. However it isn't like anybody could have guessed that the WTC might be a terror target again or anything. It was also real handy having it way up there when the power went out.
Rudy, however, is the most socially moderate of the Republicans so I had some hope for him to do well enough to drag the party back into the 21st century.
ldzppln @ 30:
That's a shame. But if Hillary wins, I suspect he's a shoe-in for VP. I suspect Edwards would be better served to pick Obama. Obama, a minority himself, would be unlikely to pick minority Richardson as his running mate for the first all-minority ticket.
A diplomat with executive & budgetary experience. The WH could of used someone like him. :(
it's true what has been said about guilli, that all he ever says is a noun, a verb and 911.
Hasn't that guy hung himself yet. God knows he's been given enough rope.
Hasn't Rudy learned that 9/11 is dwarfed by the real disaster of Katrina? Yes, it was horrible to see those people jumping out of buildings but it only affected a few blocks of NYC. Come to think of it, I don't see any victims of Katrina getting multi million dollar payouts...
Why is anybody paying attention to crocodile tears ? Or, what Rudy thinks of it ?
Real tears are for much more meaningful occasions than this calculated command performance.
How about the issues ?

[Bomb] Threat changes Giuliani's Brevard schedule
This is about 5 minutes from me.
Hey, come to think of it, Mrs. 9iu11iani gives pretty timely phone.
Any day now he'll lose the noun and verb part and just say "911" as he twitches uncontrallably with a weird nervous tick.
AMERICA let me remind you.
Two term President Bush won the election through your votes (rigged or not). You who voted for him allowed it to happen. You who got rigged allowed it without a fight to the end for accountability.
BUSH won AMERICA lost.
Don't make the same mistake. If you think the past two terms has been BAD. Without having those accountable responsible and giving them a free pass without any kind of reprimand or any IMPEACHMENT IS letting the NEXTpresidency carry the torch of abuse of executive power open for use at their discretion.
ONLY YOU will be, to blame; when things gets worse and your civil liberty is no longer there for you.
This is a very crucial time of our modern history. We are going backward and not forward.
Cast your vote for the right principles. Cast your vote carefully. This is a time when you must scrutinize, question and evaluate the character of every presidential candidate. What ever they do affects us all. Don't forget we made three mistakes already. BUSH first term, Bush second term, and spineless and coward Democrats in the 110th House of Congress led by Pelosi; Reid; Hoyer; Conyer and the rest of the senate and congressperson that enable the crimes, abuses, and corruptions to continue.
If CHANGE is truly what you demand. Then the Change must begin on how you cast your vote. A SMART VOTE is the RIGHT VOTE. If you voted correctly then there will be NO guilt on your part. Our peace, economy and the lives of our troops are at stake. Futhermore, the law of the land and the balance of power has already tilted. We must restore checks and balance or we will end our DEMOCRACY to the facist.

heh...Family Guy...I get the reference...
now here's another one...
Take the song 'Rock Me, Amadeus' by Falcor and inject '9/11' over and over and you have his entire campaign...
course, you Dems should really be rooting for Giuliani to win the nomination...cause there's no way in hell he'd win against a Democratic challenger...
you should REALLY be scared of Huckabee because the first thing he's going to do if he wins the nom is play straight at everyone's fears...hell, he'll make fears up just to play at them...and this is a strategy that has kept a demagouge in power for 7 years....
Why is the tough guy, Mr. Rudy 9-11 afraid to run in the primaries.
Wouldn't it be great if some manufacturer created the Talking Rudy Doll?
You pull the string (or squeeze it's head), and it can only say, 9-11!!...9-11!!...9-11!!
Timmy_D11 @ 81:
Untrue. In his mind, 9/11 was all about Rudy, and any mention of 9/11 by him requires mention of an ancillary noun such as "I," "me," or my."
He's toast. He should save himself some money and us another round of useless vomiting, and just withdraw.
C&L: "... He is now a parody of a caricature of himself. How can anyone take him seriously?"
SG: REALLY ... How so!"
9/11 is se(R)ious. It occurred just a month after the PDB about 'Osama Intent on Attack inside the USA', and 9 months after Cheney took over Richard Clarke's position as Terrorism Czar and then refused to meet with Clarke, and in fact occurred only 9 months after Cheney never even convened a single meeting.
9/11 is very se(R)ious, because it occurred after Cheney centralized fighter jet response to 'off course planes' in his office and then apparently decentralized it again after 9/11.
9/11 is equally se(R)ious in (R)udy's case, because it occurred after years of 'Interoperability' failure and after a no-bid Motorola contract that continued that failure, and that contributed to firemen NOT getting out of the Towers, when the police communications allowed them to.
9/11 is se(R)ious, so se(R)ious that the terror it invokes trumps the incompetence that allowed to happen.
So, that's why you HAVE TO take (R)udy se(R)iously when he appeals to it ...

Oh god no. Rudy is pure entertainment value now, with no chance of winning. He's Ron Paul with worse hair. May he stay in the race to the bitter end.
Apparently Guiliani hasn't figured out that when this is the only thing he ever talks about, it makes it seem that it is the only subject he knows anything about.
Not a good plan.
chloro: "... He’s toast. He should save himself some money and us another round of useless vomiting, and just withdraw."

Another Vietnam Vet **offers hand**. Remember the book/movie "All The President's Men"? There was a dialog between Deep Throat and Woodward, where DT says (and repeats), "Follow the money, just follow the money". Well, if you 'follow the election money', it does not take a great deal of effort to see it pass from the corporate financiers to the MSM. I think most 'aware' people have a pretty clear idea of how candidates are groomed, and elections are bought. Until we have true election reform, closing all of the rat holes, the rats will continue to get in.
David: "... you should REALLY be scared of Huckabee because the first thing he’s going to do if he wins the nom is play straight at everyone’s fears…hell, he’ll make fears up just to play at them…"
SG: Apparently you think he'll play to the more 'bass' in us ... something many say, he clearly does without 'Sax' appeal, though ...

I would actually like to give Rudy the benefit of the doubt. He is simply a small man auditioning for a big persons job. Thrust into the public spotlight on a daily basis, he reacts in a simple and honest fashion.
His fame, wordwide in some respects, is an accident of events that happened when he was mayor.
It's a little like the factory worker who wins the lotto. Instead of living a comfortable life with riches beyond his comprehension, he suddenly fashions himself a busness tycoon and wastes the windfall in ill advised business ventuires.
Speaking as a Conservative Rudy can go Fuck Himself! I'm sick and tired of his using 9/11 every time, but to compare Hillary Clinton's emotional breakdown to attending Funerals of fallen Emergency members crosses the line..
Frankly the candidates running for the Republican ticket are not that impressive, yet when Hillary showed her soft side something changed for her while Obama still comes off as cocky..
Proud: "... If CHANGE is truly what you demand. Then the Change must begin on how you cast your vote. "
SG: What if my demand is for complete sentence structure?
Proud: "... A SMART VOTE is the RIGHT VOTE. "

Proud: "... If you voted correctly then there will be NO guilt on your part. "
SG: ... Sound like kinda a 'rigged a(R)goo-mint', there Proud! Anywayz, weren't you trying to make the a(R)goo-mint that, 'We are responsible for our Democracy, even if our vote is rigged?
Proud: "... We must restore checks and balance or we will end our DEMOCRACY to the facist."
SG: You know ... I'm leaning to a complete conceptual sentence structure sorta demand, now ...

The title of this post says it perfectly. I have nothing to add.
Giuli deserves commemoration for the brave, determined, dedicated, extraordinary beyond-the-call-of-duty efforts he demonstrated on 9/11, selfish though they were, with him mentally picturing how each movement, each each facial expression, would play on TV, and how the tapes would later appear in his, at that time, imaginary political campaign for the presidency.
Fortunately for the country, he screwed-up his own machiavellian plot by appearing in person and speaking in public during the campaign.
In the open space before the new NY Towers, a giant granite sculpture, say 50 to 100 feet tall, of the numerals '9/11', should be installed. And in commemoration of Rudy's efforts, a small bust of his head, mouth wide agape, should be at the base of the '9/11' monument.
And beneath the '9/11' monument, Rudy should be interred.
Tomorrow.
Ethan: "... Frankly the candidates running for the Republican ticket are not that impressive, yet when Hillary showed her soft side something changed for her ..."
SG: Yah! The ratio of 'support' she got from "E" voting machines, as opposed to hand counted ballots!

It's not that we can't handle the truth... it is that we are not willing to settle for something so banal as mere truth. The truth isn't nearly as clever as us. In a recent debate Mitt Romney quoted PJ O'Rourke: "If you think health care is expensive now, wait until you see what it costs when it's free," a statement breathtaking in its dishonesty and no one, to my knowledge, has called him on it.
Shared: "... It’s a little like the factory worker who wins the lotto. Instead of living a comfortable life with riches beyond his comprehension, he suddenly fashions himself a busness tycoon and wastes the windfall in ill advised business ventuires."
SG: Won't that be a better example of, 'riches beyond his comprehension' ...?

did u hear that Huckleberry stood in for a preacher before NH to preach about becoming a member in "GODS ARMY" shouldnt religious leaders PREACH PEACE??
I think it may have been the Howard Stern show where I saw it, but there was this guy who could literally "sing" a song via constant, controlled farting. It was monotone, of course, but he could literally blow out a one-note instrumental version of Jingle Bells, or some other tune, as one could replicate by honking their car horn to the tune.
With Giuliani, I truly wonder if he could fart out the words "9-11." I'm sure he could burp them out. I'm guessing that as he's flopping around on top of his mistress-o'-the-month, he probably gasps out "9-11!!!" at the moment of climax. During private moments when he's incredibly angry at someone, I wonder if "9-11!" occasionally blurts out when he's intending to yell "F--- you!" If he accidentally steps in dog poo while walking his mistress's dog, I'm sure the occasional "Oh, 9-11..." is inadverdently uttered in disgust. Blah blah blah...
Stop him from what? Losing respect? Getting his ass handed to him by Ron Paul? From getting even more liver-spots? From brushing his yellow tooth? From becoming the "Vanilla Ice" of politics?
Too late.
McGarret: "... It’s not that we can’t handle the truth… it is that we are not willing to settle for something so banal as mere truth. The truth isn’t nearly as clever as us."
SG: Interesting ... However, I think it is more a function of narrative. An 'explanatory' story about some event (or non-event) is more comforting than an ambivalent array of facts, pointing to an open range of possibilities. And spin usually provides the simplist and so the most comforting of narratives.
Snerd
Why couldn't rudy have been in either tower of WTC on 9-11?

If there were a drinking game where you tossed back a shot every time Giuliani says "9/11", you'd die of alcohol poisoning in short order.

OK, I guess this did amount to yet another 9-11 reference made by Giuliani. BUT...
Look at the general substance of what the man said, and it was a class response. Hey, I'm a Democrat who sure as hell doesn't want to see a Republican win in 2008, but let's bloody play fair and give some credit where credit is due: Giuliani did get emotional at all the funerals he attended, for cops, firefighters, and the like; funerals a mayor SHOULD attend. Contrast that with Bush who attends damned few (if any) funerals of the soldiers and marines who die fighting his damned stupid, unjust, and unnecessary war, and won't even let the press photograph the scores of flag-draped coffins flying in from Bhagdad.
Cripes, we are Democrats: let's not start behaving in the fashion that seemingly so $@%#@$ many of the leading Republicans have been over the past several years.

I DON'T DENY THAT MY ENGLISH AND GRAMMER IS WEAK.......I GOT YOUR POINT.
YOU OBVIOUSLY DID NOT GET MINE. I AM TRYING TO EXPRESS THE BEST I KNOW HOW THAT OUR NATION IS IN SERIOUS TROUBLE. I AM TRYING MY BEST AS CITIZEN TO CONVEY MY MESSAGE THAT WE AS PEOPLE HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE OUTCOME OF OUR ELECTION AND THE KIND OF GOVERNMENT THAT WE HAVE.
AS CITIZENS, WE HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE. THIS ELECTION IS A VERY SERIOUS MATTER THAT WILL DETERMINE....WHAT KIND OF A NATION WE WILL BE IN THE FUTURE.
So instead of criticizing, mocking and wasting your energy lecturing me; it would be better used of time and energy if you would channel this by helping me mobilize our fellow citizens where it counts; to vote correctly where it matters a great deal. Our nation and civil liberties has been seriously compromised negatively. Our future generation will have to bare the cost and consequences for all the mistakes and destructions that has been done.
Grow-up and do us a favor and help our nation by motivating our citizens to vote for what is CORRECT and make an intelligent vote for a candidate based on objectivity; integrity, honesty and one that respect our constitution. This IS more important and a bigger ISSUE than myself.
if we made a Giuliani drinking game about mentioning 911, we would all end up drowned dead and drunk like Nicolas Cage in Leaving Las Vegas

Please read this... there is no current Edwards articles sorry for this not relating to the above article!

Who is he kidding?
He didn't feel anything except a greedy rush when he realized how much money he was gonna make off those dead firemen's backs.
What a loser.
I predict after Rudy drops out of the race, he'll write a book, record an album, direct a film and eventually merchandise little talking dolls of himself.
Guess what the theme tying all of these together will be?
You know, Rudy doesn't use 9/11 as a campaign ploy, or to try to scare people into voting for him. He keeps invoking 9/11 because he is suffering from massive PTSD; 9/11 is still so present for him that, psychically, it is still 9/11 to him. He literally sees it everywhere. Until he gets his PTSD treated, he is not psychologically or emotionally fit to be president, even if one feels inclined to vote for him. I just feel sorry for him, at this point; he is frightened and in pain so he keeps trying to master that horrific moment, get it under control, so that it won't continually overwhelm him, and he just can't do it. He's crippled inside.
Rudy sounds like a broken re, a broken re, a broken re...He repeats himself a lot.
I could take this latest 9/11 date-dropping a little more seriously if Rudy hadn't turned himself into such a *whore* over it. After he left the Mayor's office, what did he do? Started making a living giving speeches and charging speaker fees up the ying-yang! In fact, he was named to the 9/11 Commission - a place where he could have done some *real* good - and yet, he got kicked off the Commission because he NEVER ATTENDED ANY MEETINGS! Where was he? Giving speeches, which was *obviously* more important...
In the event that Rudy gets the nomination (increasingly unlikely), I hope that the Democratic party has the balls to play this portion of Rudy's 2004 GOP Convention speech as an ad:
At the time, we believed that we would be attacked many more times that day and in the days that followed. Without really thinking, based on just emotion, spontaneous, I grabbed the arm of then-Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, and I said to him, "Bernie, thank God George Bush is our president."
I say it again tonight. I say it again tonight:
Thank God that George Bush is our president, and thank God that Dick Cheney, a man with his experience and his knowledge and his strength and his background, is our vice president.
Let's see ol' Rudy get emotional over *that*! ;-)
The REAL issue in this election - one that *nobody* has really mentioned - isn't just a matter of *change*; it's a matter of who can clean up George W. Bush's mess! There's not a Republican who could - or *would* - do it, since that would mean going against the GOP's agenda; thus, it falls to the Democrats. The problem there, though, is that it's probably going to take at *least* 20 years - with Democratic control of both the White House *and* Congress - to get back to the point where we were on Jan. 20, 2001!
There's so much that we don't know and won't learn until BushCo is out of the White House that it'll be a *major* scandal when it all comes to light; Watergate, Iran-Contra, etc., will be *nothing* compared to this!
I hate to say this, but the worst *may* still be yet to come...
You know, this whole Hillary crying thing is just like the Dean scream thing. I didn't see it when it happened, I haven't seen it yet, but I can't avoid the media who are STILL talking about it. It's not that big a deal.
Yeah, we never should have created this monster, Rudy.
But who wants the disgusting task of sneaking up on him and pulling the batteries out of his ass?
Rudy should stick to cross-dressing...
A noun a verb and 9/11. Rudi we hardly knew you - thank God.
And if you think Bush divided and fucked up the country, imagine this violent tempered, insecure, racist, war loving, sack of shit as President. Rudy only provides proof that things can be worse.
john @ 129:
Rudy has another word besided 9/11. Its Ronald Reagan. He said it at least 14 times during the debate Saturday. He is nothing but a whore.
Hillary did a number on women. I give her credit, she is slick. Here is her stratagy:
(1) at the debate, try to make Obama and Edwards attach her. She did this by saying “Obama said Edwards was not voteable. Edwards and Obama attached her.
(2) Feel sorry for her. Give a hurt face when they said she was not likable.
(3) Give a sad, feel sorry for me speech at the diner.
It worked!!!
The ladies voted for her because she is a poor helpless women being attached by men.
Brilliant!!!
Women are really suckers sometimes.

ZappaFrank @ 125:
Rudy won't drop out. By the time he's doing badly enough to seriously consider it--and for Rudy that means getting shut out Feb. 5--his reputation will be so far down the toilet that he won't even be able to get a once-a-week column for the New York Times. He won't drop out of the race without first securing a think tank or lobbying job, and he won't be able to get those. Rudy won't lower himself to taking a job as Sean Hannity's fluffer until after the convention, but he won't be able to get a better job than that either before or after the convention. Rudy's in it to stay.
I'm baaaaAaaack!
I hope everyone had a nauseatingly wonderful holiday...
Glad it's over.
Ok now, back ta bidness...I saw this last night...I really think that's all he has goin for him...and that ain't gonna get him anywhere. Julianni's campaign is a trainwreck!
Also...Hilllary really showed off her fine acting skills with that whole choking up while answering question thingy...Bravo! She is goin to use every trick in the book to gain the presidency. I wouldn't mind a woman in the WH, but Hillary ain't the one. She want's it too much. Someone who's that blindly ambitious can't be trusted if ya ask me.
I'm trying to decide between Obama and Edwards now...
liberalNmoderation @ 138:
She would be a great President. Everytime she gets in a bind, she can sob and get her way.
I swear the man would answer the question "What did you have for breakfast today" with..."Coffee and toast, but on 9/11 I skipped breakfast".
9/11 Tourette's, as others have said.
GREG @ 139:
LOL! Isn't that similar to what bushy does...temper tantrums?
Why's Guiliani even in this race?
(monitors, I work at the same office and use the same machine as another commentor, in case you notice the same ISP address)
Please tell me this is a prank. Did Rudolph the red handed liar really say that?
He's officially a cartoon. BTW, Huge LOL for comment # 140. Way to go, CaptStumpy!
