I agree and have also posted about this alternative view of the Wilson-Plame outing. I feel that the real objective was not to smear Wilson, but to out Plame and get her out of the way. The objective was not WMD in Iraq, that was done, the real objective was to get the the non-ball player with a chatty husband out of the game before they started the next phase--IRAN!

If this treason goes as deep as I think it goes, impeachment or even jail time will be the least of these traitors concerns and they know it. Therefore, it will never see the light of day. This story is becoming a scandal worldwide, yet the American press or media have yet to mention it. Do we have censorship or what? The BradBlog is doing an excellent job along with Raw Story and now, I'm happy to see, Crooks & Liars. If it becomes widely distributed on the Internet, I don't see how the MSM can ignore it forever.

Gypsy, we are on the same page. I think the intense scrambling on Air Force I after the op-ed was "evidence of a guilty mind" as they say in Law and Order, but it was too much of a reaction to be about the op-ed itself. After all, a lone voice making a fairly complex point in an NY Times op-ed was never going to stop the invasion; the drumbeat to invade drowned out all other voices. So once I knew where Plame worked, it seemed much more likely that they were trying to stop that work or avoid detection themselves. I thought they might have been trying to move nukes and WMD into Iraq to "prove" their case for invasion, but I think they always had way bigger fish to fry than that. The behavior of these people is the very definition of conspiracy.

i fully realize how paranoid folks with high security clearance are, because even as a low-rent piss-poor peasant with a crappy internet connection, i myself get a little paranoid. i mean, all of society is now under total surveillance. and so when we come on message boards, we assume a certain degree of risk.

but i'm literally ready to die, if need be, to save my country for the next generation, for little kids like my nephew.

Sorry to go OT to respond to this, but YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND. Do you think that Waxman is the only person on that committee?

Good to see C&L bring this up......this is the type of the iceberg peeps! Keep a wary eye on this story because if we don't it will be buried with prejudice. It is the beginning of the real underworld of international relations. Drugs, nukes, intelligence agencies, traitors, Turkey, Israel, Pakistan, Terror, Niger Documents, Valerie Plame, Larry Franklin, AIPAC, ATC and on and on.......I hope people keep pulling this string......wow this is big!
