When i was 18 i was arrested at the White House for protesting Ford’s criminal use of Food For Peace money being funneled into the black market to buy arms illegally for South Vietnam.

I ended up in DC jail for ten days.

Expanded bonuses would up recruitment rates a bit but you're right about there not being enough manpower to go around without a draft. I could see private contractors being expanded as well.

I imagine that they'd go in heavily with airstrikes for a very long time without much in the way of a ground presence. To commit ground troops they'd need some kind of mission plan (even a typically Bush bad plan) and I still don't know what they imagine would be their mission in Iran.
