(The Red Lasso clip might take a few tries to get working) Limbaugh went off the racist/violent rails again when he discussed his "Operation Chaos" plan and sang a little tune about it.

The dream end of this is that this keeps up to the convention and we have a replay of Chicago 1968 with burning cars, protests, fires, literal riots, and all of that. That's that's the objective here."

This jerk is asking for violence in the streets and the blood to flow. Responding to this lunacy today---Rush Limbaugh had to cut off the phone on caller Lisa after she slammed him over his racist and hateful comments that he made about hoping for "riots" in America.

During today's show (4/23) Rush made the statement that he is dreaming/hoping for riots after the Dems convention if they choose Hillary over Obama. He even sang his statment to the "I'm Dreaming of a "WHITE" Christmas" tune. It appears to me that he is hoping African-Americans will revolt if Obama doesn't win and in his dreams we would riot and wipe each other out so that he can indeed have a "white" Christmas/country.

And he said this also: "Riots in Denver, the Democrat Convention would see to it that we don't elect Democrats," Limbaugh said during Wednesday's radio broadcast. He then went on to say that's the best thing that could happen to the country.

Here's the audio of caller Lisa really pouncing on Mr. Viagra: (it's a rough transcript)

icon Download | play

Lisa: You were saying that you were hoping for a White Christmas if the Democrats choose Hillary over Obama and you even kind of sang your statement to the tune of White Christmas or did you mean a white country? What exactly did you mean by that statement yesterday?

Rush: Ho ho ho.

Lisa: Because I feel like all Americans, the American people want is what's best for this country.

Rush: No, they don't.

Lisa: Why does this have to be a hate-filled comment from you and other radio hosts?

Rush: Lisa, there's nothing but love for people, care and concern for people.

Lisa: It didn't sound that way yesterday.

Rush: Well, you're picking a selective moment. How often do you listen to the show?

Lisa: I listen almost every day.

Rush: You do?

Lisa: Yes I do. So I was a bit surprised should I say shocked that you were so blatant with that comment.

Rush: I've made the comment before.

Lisa: Who wishes for riots, who wants that to happen in this country?

Rush: Who wishes for riots? I didn't get the ball rolling, it is Democrats like Al Sharpton that there will be....

Lisa: Rush.

Rush: You need to be calling Rev. Sharpton...

Lisa: I'm calling the gentlemen who made the comment yesterday and sang to the tune of I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas. What, what was that about?

Rush: It was about nothing. You are, you are taking...

Lisa: You are an intelligent man and I don't think anything you do is about nothing...

Rush: Lisa.

Lisa: Everything you say and do on your radio show has a purpose. I've been listening long enough to pick up on that, Rush.

Rush: What's happening here is that your own racism and your own projection of racism is forcing you..

Lisa: I have never wished for riots in my country.

Rush: You are reading my mind. Between the two of us, you are the racist

Lisa: I'm tired of gas prices, I'm tired of truck drivers not being able to get to deliver goods. I'm tired of people getting kicked out of their homes. I'm tired. I just want what's best for this country for everybody--white---black--Chinese---and I NEVER wished for riots.

Rush: I see Americans, you see colors and races...

Lisa: I didn't say White Christmas or white country, which one?

<laughter>

Lisa: I wish you would take your comments back and just really start from scratch. Republicans, Democrats, we need to do away with both parties and what think what's best for this country and all that would do is put Rush out of business with his hate filled discussions every day...

Rush: We need to put liberals out of business, Lisa. We need to put mush minds out of business like you.

Lisa: Why am I a mush mind? Why are you resulting to name calling, sir?

He had enough and ended the call. She forced him to blame Al Sharpton and then called her a "mush mind." That's real intelligent discussion, folks. I was waiting for him to call her a poopy head or something. See, he got caught making a fool of himself and knew it, so he stumbled through that call.

Sure, it's all the liberals fault that this country is so screwed up. Heck, we've had the White House since 2000...Oh, sorry, I forgot that Limbaugh and his conservative cronies have run the country into the ground and never lifted a finger to do anything to stop it. Rush and BushCo. only ushered in and then enabled its demise. And he was the head cheerleader of the conservative meltdown. At least he helped expose the country to the destructive principles and practices we receive as a nation led by Conservatives.

Rush Limbaugh: Reminding America that racism is alive and well.

I asked this in a different thread, but will repost here as it's more On Topic.

With that documented can Mr. Limbaugh be indicted for Inciting to Riot if there are riots in Denver during the convention? Not that this DoJ would mind you, but could they?

If there are riots, charge the bastard with inciting them. It'd serve him right!

Can we raise money to run a commercial criticizing Rush Limbaugh for trying to hurt Americans?

I still can't believe that grownups listen to this blowhard, including my very own parents. jeebus.

Drugbaugh gets a pass and will always get a free pass because the reich-wing MSM will never, ever hold their own accountable for anything.

Listen to the mp3, the transcript doesn't do it justice.

Lisa NAILED Rush, yeah!!!

The woman calls Rush and tells him she listens to him every day. In the next breath she claims she wants him taken off the air. She was a study in masochism and self imposed misery. Has anybody informed this woman that her radio has a button she can push to change stations?

What a complete TOOL.

I think his run may be over in '09 and he knows it.

Getting schooled by an average level headed american....
time to wave the flag Rush.

We ALL KNOW WHAT you meant.

Give me a break.

And one more... Does there have to be a riot? Isn't this talk inciting a riot on it's own?

Rush: "I see Americans, you see colors and races..."

Strange comment from a guy FIRED from Monday Night Football for saying that quarterback Donovan McNabb was overrated because he was a BLACK quarterback.

Limp-Dick, a true hatefilled Reslug, got really weak kneed, speechless and probably pissed in his frilley, pink thong when Lisa nailed his Fat-ASS thoroughly.

please tell me that we can get him for trying to insight riots.

uber-pwnage! SW33T!

isn't rush's remarks a lot like yelling "fire" in a theatre?

rush is a terrorist and should be removed from the air.

Damn!

Ever hear of the Chicago Eight?

Or is everyone here to busy practicing their rendition of Kumbaya. I really, really recommend folks go to the library, or teh Google, and
study some frigin'

HISTORY!

Notice how quickly he turns the conversation around and attacks her?
"Rush: What’s happening here is that your own racism and your own projection of racism is forcing you.."

That's how flame throwers like Rush work. If they are backed into a corner they attack with an almost " I know you are but what am I?" juvenile retort. I would imagine his core listeners are as immature and emotionally lacking as he pretends to be.

They haven't grown up. Dittoheads are overgrown adolescents who never fit in and listen to Limpdick to help them feel they aren't alone in their petty little worlds.
Sorry about your folks. At least you figured it out.

A tip of my tin foil hat to Ms. Lisa-I bet ole,Mr. Oxyincontinent,WAS incontinent by the end of her call! Just one thought however, who knew such rational beings ACTUALLY listen to that fat assed blowhard.........?

Two Democratic party presidents in the last 40 years and the liberals are to blame for everything wrong with the country.

Welcome to Rush's fantasy.

I would prefer that if there are no riots that, instead of indictment, it is used as a constant reminder that no one was listening. Headlines thru the blogisphere "Rush a leader with no following".

We can ignore what the right says and hope it will go away - which hasn't worked. Or we can record their hate and stupidity and use their own words to bring them down. I'm for the second one.

I was truly aghast when I learned they listened (this is way back when blowhard was just starting to get a "name" for himself). You're right. It's like a gang. It's all about belonging.

I wish I could meet Lisa so I can shake her hand.

Ilistened to him today,he does have a worry about Obama getting elected.you can tell he is rooting for hillary. Anybody except Obama. clearchannel boss is Bush's buddy and they know that the repugs are finished for this cycle. Hillary is their underling--Israel Firster. Once she gets in--same boys in the backroom will have a long lasting job. What's their fear--Isreal 3rd to the needs of America and black community.

Last week an atheist member of the uber pc green party called a Black state rep. a "Negro".

This week Limbaugh in reference to the White House campaign says he's hoping for a "White" Christmas.

Both of them are jerks.

hmm.. sounds seditious to me

Renell,

One of the side effects of narcotics is that they make you constipated. I think Lisa just cleared him out. It's a lousy job but someone had to do it.

It's simple, folks.

The man is a racist. His "Operation Chaos" should be called "Operation brownshirt," because this is about subverting democracy and promoting fascism. That's why he wants violence. Violence is the tool of fascists. Got all that?

Simple, really.

what sickens me is the righteous glee with which that moron tramples the democratic process . . . time and again i am left wondering: did anyone outside the progressive blogosphere pay attention in high school civics class? if this country is not about equality and justice and freedom, what value do all those red, white & blue lapel pins have?

It would be fun to tune their radios in to 'Democracy Now!' sometime when they are expecting Viagra-boy.

this man is a psychological well-spring of narcissism and self-loathing. this brand of discourse is the true "enemy" of good men and women. the method is quite simple. talk over everything you can without speaking total gibberish. when something rings too true, laugh as hard as you can. and if necessary accuse the other of racism.

we must associate more accurate descriptors to this man and his list of morally and intellectually corrupt peers.

Not that I'm against shooting the messenger in this case, but Rush is just saying what every single conservative is thinking. Racism is the very air they breathe.

Probably some listen to him to see how far he will go next. Kinda like watching BillO to see how bizarre he will get. But for his "fans" these are probably the misfits of a civil society.

Poor fatso, he said he got the 'wrong caller,' which in Fatso-doushebag Rush speak is, 'You didn't give me the typical dittohead that believes everything that comes out of my fat, f*cking mouth! How dare you!!!!!"

And for all you Clinton and Obama supporters who say you will vote for McCain if your person isn't nominated . . . THIS is what you are voting for. This kind of bullshit. Wake the hell up and realize how the republican party has devastated this country. I'm not even sure it can be saved but voting for ANY Republican sure isn't gonna do it.

limpdick is a racist who has over stayed his welcome in the KKK.

OT -- why are the talking heads telling Obama he must win over these stubborn beer drinking whites, but don't say the same thing about hillary reaching out to the African-American voters?

Welcome to Rush's fantasy.

The myth is that the rise of the conservative movement in the last 40+ years is in direct REACTION to America's decline in that same period. The truth is the growth in conservatism is the direct CAUSE of America's decline.
You are absolutely right that the more power they have the worse things are, and the less power the liberals have then the more liberals are to blame.

Incitement to riot generally does not require authorities to wait for a riot to occur. Any more than attempted robbery or attempted murder require anything but the attempt.

Sorry, had not even been born yet. And, yeah, maybe I should have done some back research. After reading up in the link you provided, and doing some follow up I find myself still wondering if he could be indicted. The Chicago 7 (originally 8) did not go on the Public Airwaves and incite listeners Months before the convention. Kind of a different situation, and as any lawyer will tell you, details matter. Especially in criminal law.

Rush can be bonkers sometimes, but people have to learn to take him lightly. He's only making those off the wall statements to get somebody's goat. Turn the radio dial. That's one of our rights. "The right to choose."

This guy is on the airwaves EVERYWHERE in states like Ohio. In some locations, you can surf the radio dial and hear him on multiple stations in multiple cities. In other words, you can't easily escape him.

In my mind, this is truly hate talk, and use of the public airwaves to incite riots. I heard him say that the end goal was riots.

Are there any laws anywhere that can be used against him for doing this?

Truly an ugly situation. What a fetid man.

man, fuck that fat fake conservative Nazi.

if he had any spine, balls, or self-respect, he'd be bashing Bush for the EXACT SAME THINGS he bashed Clinton for.

By Rush's 90s definition of 'liberal', Bush is a much, much bigger and much much worse 'liberal' than Clinton.

But to these nazi party-loyalists like Rush, 'liberal' and 'conservative' just mean 'them' vs. 'us'.

IIRC, it gets even better. The people who were supposedly on the side of the hippies, etc. were actually FBI and CIA agents who were trying to spark the riots in order to make the hippies, etc. look bad.

white folks don't riot. their riots are called peaceful congregation. don't forget the congregations during the 2000 election vote counting, banging on the glasses, storming the voting places, those loud voices and bodies. it's against the Constitution to say, whites riot. if not written, strictly inferred unless of course, you're meeting to ask for Peace.

The woman calls Rush and tells him she listens to him every day. In the next breath she claims she wants him taken off the air. She was a study in masochism and self imposed misery. Has anybody informed this woman that her radio has a button she can push to change stations?

Lord knows I'm rude for answering a question WITH a question, but why are you HERE? Get your rocks off hearing the other side whine and cry? Want to know what "the enemy" is up to? Do you think we're all stupid and like to peer in like tourists at the zoo? OR do you generally agree with the points raised here, but once in a while think people go too far, and are thus inclined to respond with a comment like the one you provided?

MY point is, whatever YOUR answer might be -whether I nailed it or there's a completely different reason - that answer could, conceivably, reply to Rush's caller. Maybe she's a lib who wants to know what neocons are talking about ( one of this site's reasons for being). Maybe she's a right-leaning indie who thinks people should be called ouot for being jackasses when they're jackasses. her reasons are her own, just as your reasons are your own for being here.

I guess what I'm saying is, thanks for being an oblivious schmuck, tearing people down for doing the exact same thing you did whilst tearing them down. Pure irony is quite rare these days.

This week Limbaugh in reference to the White House campaign says he's hoping for a "White" Christmas.

Both of them are jerks.

While you mentioned that the Green Party member is an atheist, you forgot to mention that Rush Limbaugh is a Christian.

For one to be a Christian one must follow the teachings of Christ.

Boy, that Limbaugh is such a huge asshole! Instead of honestly addressing his caller's criticism he 1) pretended that he didn't say what he said, 2) blamed somebody else (Al Sharpton) for his remarks and 3) smeared his critic by questioning her motives and accusing her of being a hater.

In short, he debated the issue exactly as if he were Amanda Marcotte.

With that documented can Mr. Limbaugh be indicted for Inciting to Riot if there are riots in Denver during the convention? Not that this DoJ would mind you, but could they?

The answer to your question is No. If he were to say lets go riot right now, then yes they could charge him because it presents a clear and present danger. But, if he says let's go riot at (future time), then no, because you have a chance to think about it and let cooler heads prevail, and then it does not present a clear and "Present" danger because all risk is in the future and can't instantaneously incite mob action.

No True Scotsman fallacy

A Christian (listen) is a person who adheres to Christianity, a monotheistic religion centered on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ as presented in the New Testament.

Exactly. It is not a fallacy in this context because "being a Christian" who, by definition, "follows the teachings of Christ," as was stated, is not a truly a Christian if that person doesn't follow those teachings.

As explained in the site to which Rusty originally linked regarding the fallacy:

"Errors in usage
In situations where the subject's status is determined by specific behaviors, the fallacy does not apply. For example, it is perfectly justified to say, 'No true vegetarian eats meat,' because not eating meat is what defines a person as a vegetarian. Similarly, claiming that 'no true doctor practices without a medical degree' is not a fallacy because, in fact, a medical degree is required to be legitimately designated as a practicing medical doctor (subject to the a priori contextual assumptions that (a) it is specifically a medical doctor being discussed and (b) both 'practice' and 'medical degree' are in keeping with the legitimate professional requirements for those terms)."

I'm an older white guy and for my whole life I've never figured out why race is such an important topic.

OK, I'll rephrase that. Why does the race of a person cause so much reaction in people? My like or dislike in people I've met has always been decided whether they are a good person or not. Race, colour or ethnicity has never been a consideration in that decision. Irrelevant, in my mind.

His followers are called dittoheads, meaning they don't think for themselves.

Nuff' said.

It's the M.O. in regards to racism, as well as other tactics:

I'm not racist, you're racist for pointing out my racism. It was all a joke.
I'm not a misogynist, I'm the real feminist. It was all a joke.
I'm not an elitist, you're the real elitist. I was just joking.

The conservative right wants to flip the switch in regards to racism, in order to bring about the day when they can condescend in code, and enact the way of thinking that would make these acts all "in jest". You see the same tactic with Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Neal Boortz, Michael Savage, etc. These individuals are unable to get past their insecurities, and instead try to frame and project the rest of their outlook to their unfortunate listeners.

Unfortunately, it all deteriorates from there. The seemingly astute observations about Republicans wanting minorities to gain self-determinism to help individuals achieve their inner potential, instead of relying on the government's teat, dissolves under further commentary by these mentally sick individuals.

You see many posters like them, they cannot help but tie many of the world's problems to the issues of illegal immigration (Mexicans), government waste (Blacks), terrorism (Brown's), all the while compromising the very real problems of those issues. So their solutions and insight are all suspicious reasoning.

This caller called Rush on it, and he couldn't answer the real question. Contrast it with other commentary that individuals like him cannot help but "joke" about. At this point, use your common sense, and you'll see his ugly figure as you should.

If this isn't abusing the public airwaves, I don't know what is. Encouraging a riot?

This man should be pulled from OUR airwaves immediately.

Fuck that piece of shit.

Rush is one of the few people I'd never want to meet in person.

Not because of him mind you. Because of me. It's the influence of Rush Limbaugh, the immense mendacity of the man, that has made it impossible for me to have a political discussion with my father for 16 years. And because of that, I am afraid that if I found myself standing in front of Rush Limbaugh, that I'd kill him with my bare hands. I was wondering if that caller was really a Federal District Attorney. If Rush would of admitted that he was making a racial comment; they could push the hate crime legislation against him. The way the laws are written it would be easier to slam him with the hate crime rather than the inciting a riot part. In order to get him for inciting a riot, a riot has to actually occur; but, to charge him with a hate crime, the riot doesn't actually have to happen.

So we have Rush twice caught with drugs, once smuggling unprescribed meds, morphine based meds as well, and hes on the airwaves corrupting our children, darn shocking if I say so, when will the FCC remove this degenerate from the airwaves.

That's the same way I feel everyday. When will the freaking FCC do something! Listening to Randi Rhodes yesterday, she call out on Hannity for making completely false statements to a caller, saying that unemployment is in a record low right now, and a lot of unimaginable crap. I was completely outraged. Purposely lying on the airwaves, or inciting people to commit crime, should be a crime punishable with jail time and not some stupid fine. "The dream end of this is that this keeps up to the convention and we have a replay of Chicago 1968 with burning cars, protests, fires, literal riots, and all of that. That’s that’s the objective here.” Limbaugh

burple @ 139:

For one to be a Christian one must follow the teachings of Christ.

Rush is unforgiving, cruel, and tells hateful lies for a living.

No True Scotsman fallacy

Yeah. If "one who follows the teachings of Christ" is the definition of a Christian, then there aren't any as far as I can tell.

Many fall short and feel bad about it.

Limbaugh falls short and doesn't give a shit.

Thank you, Lisa.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.

Election is late November - McCain is as white as a ghost.

Enough already with this piece of shit, he is nobody to me.

Nobody.

He needs to go rot in jail. That is all.

(1) Are Limbaugh's sponsors national or local?

(2) How do I find them out?

(3) I AM GOING AFTER THIS BASTARD ON A LOCAL LEVEL. I will paste BOYCOTT labels on all Limbaugh sponsor products in my local supermarkets. Quietly. Surreptitiously. Permanent adhesive labels.

(4) Can some media person respond to this and tell me how to find this sponsor info out?

(5) I am pissed. Big time.

i think local is the way to go. maybe boycott and wave signs at the local stations themselves- they were instrumental in selling the bush/iraq lies and will be instrumental in selling iran lies and obama swiftboating. there are very few times when a caller gets through who can disagree with him for any length of time. contacting his national headquarters or parent co is useless.

every state has stations nearby who fill the local airwaves with his lies, distortions, racism, sexism, and global warming denial. often it is the biggest station in the state and a bunch of smaller ones and they usually use local sponsors who can be called and talked to. often they sign on with a package as opposed to his particular time slot and arent aware, or say they arent aware that their ad was on during his show. but his stations are usually the ones people have to turn on to get the local sports or weather or traffic. a point can be made- why would anyone want to buy from guys like him and hannity- they've been wrong about EVERYTHING of importance. the managers argue he's an entertainer but his stations are basically the power centers of the GOP, giving a 20% minority a 50% voice. they also talk about the market wants limbaugh but he was heavily subsidized for years and the monopoly they have is used to shut out any opposition even though the progressives have proven very competitive in many markets. and much may be covered as free speech but coordinated uncontested repetition of GOP talking points/lies/propaganda to 50-70 MIL have a huge detrimental effect on our democracy.

Big tough guy Pugsley Limbaugh. In reality, a bigger pussy has not existed. He's a mere draft-doging mommy's boy who couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag.

File a complaint with the FCC. It's headed by a Bush crony, but at least it will be on record.

Good point, CD. If the proffered definition of Christian had been "one who tries to follow the teachings of Christ," then there's no question, many people are Christians and Limbaugh ain't one of 'em.

What Limbaugh is advocating is a class D felony in the state of Indiana. In fact, his mere advocacy of it is a crime. I urge anyone in Indiana who knows of a Republican who does this to gather evidence of their past voting records or political positions and turn them in to the police.
