Don't you love that "24" type music? And Chris Wallace wastes no time smearing him even before he shows up.
For accepting the interview, Fox's Chris Wallace promptly implies Obama is lazy:
Wallace said if Obama had won Pennsylvania, he may not have accepted the invitation.
"If he had won he'd probably on a Caribbean island this weekend."
The Obama Watch has officially ended and I hope he has a really, really fun time. I'm sure it'll be fair and balanced just like their treatment has been of him all along.

This is a bad move for him. It will be a hit job. They'll pull out some crap he did in the 4th grade or something. Or ask him to disprove something that is impossible to disprove, etc.

Obama is a good, prepared orator, but in the past, I've not been impressed with his responses when somebody shoots him from the hip. He kind of fumblies, like Edwards did during his debate with Cheeeeeeeney during the last stolen election.

This is interesting. There is no visible advantage for Obama to go on this show and lots of downside, yet he accepts. Given FOX's tanking in the ratings, this will provide them a boost, so if Obama is smarter than a fifth grader he must have cut a deal with them to play nice if they wanted to have him on . I know BHO talks about working together to create a better America but he's not THAT naive to believe these guys play fair....... is he?

Besides, Obama KNEW that he wasnt going to win PA, so he did the best he could and grabbed as many delegates as he could. Clinton isnt going to suddenly run away with this primary just because of this.

Fox did not get trounced in the ratings battle on the primary coverage by MSNBC and CNN. That graphic was for the 25-54 age demographic. The link just below the graph shows the ratings for all ages and puts Fox just barely behind CNN in second place for prime time, and far ahead of MSNBC.
Not all that bad considering it was Democratic primary that night.

Then it's back to Rev Wright. OMG Obama is a politician therefore a liar!!! Which begs the question "What are Clinton and McCain?" but of course nobody asked it. This pounding of Obama 24/7 is making me want to run down the street screaming and pulling out my hair. Is Obama perfect? No he is not. They want to run against Hillary so bad they can taste it. I don't think Obama should have caved on this issue. Remember when Bill Clinton went on and beat the shit out of Wallace? All we heard was how he went crazy. I guarantee to there will be a soundbite from this interview that has a negative spin played 24/7.

Did you even read the blog post post, I mean, all the way to the bottom? It pointed out that Fox got crushed the night of the primary. And in no small thanks to Obama. My point is that the demographic they lost in was the 25-54 age group. My point is that they did very well in the overall ratings that night in Prime time, and that was not bad considering it was a Democratic primary, and that they shouldn't be expected to do all that great on that night- certainly not from the Obama supporters (the younger democgraphic) - I doubt Obama supporters in general watch much Fox News- especially on on of the most important primary nights of the campaign.
I hope Obama is well rested, in a good but chippy mood, and prepared to offer veiled but funny put-downs and "gotcha" parries that will make these idiots look like idiots to everyone other than the idiots who think FOX is "fair and balanced".
What strikes me funny is how MSNBC's ratings went south after 7pm. Chris Matthews is a babbling fool. They need to get him off the election coverage. When he announced at 7:30pm the polls had closed a half hour before they really did, that was when I switched channels! Even the Clinton News Network was more preferable to that idiocy.

As I see it, the democratic party is going to shoot itself in the foot again. Clinton is going on to divide the party to an extent that the oponets supporters (Disillusioned) will not vote for the winner.
The only thing that I have to say (and I haven't endorsed either candidate at this point) is I sure hope Obama kicks Chris' butt and doesn't let him get away with the stuff that he tried to pull with Bill Clinton.

It's a TERRIFIC move for Obama...absolutely excellent move. Listen, he knows he's going to get smacked around with the usual stupid questions. If he handles them with the calm and coolness that he has handled the majority of Hillary's blasts thus far, he will show the undecideds and moderate Repubs that do watch Faux News that he is a reasonable, steady guy with good answers and ideas.
Remember: Only 28% of Americans think Bush is doing a good job. That means 72% out there want change....and I guarantee you John McCain is not the change they talk about....he's more of the McSame.
Additionally, IF they blast him with some new stuff - he would ultimately be helped a bit for the potential November election battle, by finding out what else the neocons are thinking of attacking him with. At rpesent, I would guess it will be more on the Rev. Wright and the Ayers situations, but could they have more?
But more importantly, with conservative states like Indiana and North Carolina up next, it is imperative for him to be able to reach that audience and those in it who MIGHT be ready to jump the sinking McSame bandwagon. If he can deflect the fear-mongering that has gone on about him, that could translate into cross-over votes in the two upcoming primaries and possibly even into November.
It would be hilarious for him NEVER to be on Faux News....but at this point, free TV time is free TV time. He can refuse to appear on that phony network AFTER he's elected president, when it will be the most effective time to dismiss them.

I think it is important to talk with your neighbors; but, talking to your neighbors isn't going to change anything. The people that we need to talk to are the people with the power and ability to change things. What we need to be doing is talking to the politicians. They all have office hours and any Congressman or Senator will be more than happy to talk to you. Writing a letter is kinda useless; they just give it to a staffer to read. We actually need to show up at their office with our medical bills and a copy of our paycheck stub and ask them straight up how am I supposed to afford this? Then we need to say look; I work, I contribute to society; why am I being denied basic medical services; why is my insurance not covering this; why are you not fixing this; ect. ect. We need to sandbag these people and their staffers, just flood their offices. In short, we need to burden them and waste their time. Only the lowest common denominator in society actually watches Faux, i.e. the 28%ers. Obama shouldn't waste his time with this sorry excuse for a network.
Now that Wallace has sufficiently demonstrated his willingness to coddle and protect the poor li'l feller Obama, I don't suppose there is a chance in hell he'll bring up something that none of the O-bots or Clinton-bashers seem to remember when they lament the dastardly "negative" swipes the evil Clintons supposedly throw Obama's way...
...that it was the OBAMA camp who threw the first (and WORST) un-responded-to negative swipes at the Clintons back in February 2007! That was when a top Obama fund-raiser, David Geffen, told an interviewer that the Clintons were "practiced liars" who "lie with such ease". The Clinton camp asked Obama to renounce those statements from one of his top fund-raisers (as the Clinton camp had immeidately renounced an observation from an African American supporter that Obama would have trouble getting support in the election because he was black) and OBAMA REFUSED to renounce it.
In fact, Obama's ("no negative campaign") camp was downright snarky about it and only responded with ANOTHER negative swipe at the Clintons by referring to their letting Geffen stay overnight at the White House as "payola" for fund-raising he did for them.
Of course the pundits took the bait from the Obama surragate and spun it for weeks, turning the 'liars' swipe into a media meme that perisists to this day.
Obama should show up dressed like Carl Weathers as Apollo Creed in Rocky II gloves and all. A flag pin around his neck the size of a dinner plate and a few of Rev. Wright's teeth strung on a string for effect. Now maybe then I would watch it, but Obama is too much of a gentleman to stoop to their level. I wonder how much "spin" they will put on this interview, because I don't trust Faux News not to. GIVE HIM HELL OBAMA!!

McBush won the Rep nomination by default, with @ 37% of the vote. The Rep's weren't happy with any of their candidates & with good reason, so McBush slipped by with Huckabee & Romney cancelling each other out, was it fair, winner take all primaries you could win with 29% of the vote, hell no! But you play with the hand you are dealt. Rep rig their election process, to get an early winner, undemocratic, but hey that's the Rep way.
Life's not fair, so true, it's not fair that Hillary was a lousy candidate & ran a god awful campaign & Obama has run the best campaign since Reagan.
& it's also not fair that the rigged Rep primaries gave them the worst candidate possible, McBush, when a young, energetic good looking Romney, a governer, would have been a much better choice. He still would have lost, but not as bad as McBush.

Talking to neighbors, friends acquaintances and politicians is VERY important...but I have a 9 to 5 job...and can't take time off to go and try to talk to a polictian. I live week to week. Don't get me wrong...I think you make an an excellent point...and I'd LOVE to be able to do that...I just can't afford to take time off! And it pisses me off!
