Jon Stewart teed off on President Bush last night for the ridiculous and controversial statement he made in Israel about his detractors wanting to "negotiate with terrorists" by noting that Reagan, Rumsfeld, and even Bush himself have "negotiated with terrorists." He also slams his good for the bold sacrifice he made by quitting golf.

Stewart is a moron and anyone who cites him as a journalist is a moron. Obama cannot run a country in a time of war especially when his defense against people trying to kill us is talking to them. I think that a very big part of Bush's whining in Israel was more about the fact that his disapproval rating is the highest of any modern President than about the Prseidential election this year. Did anyone else watch the testimonies of the Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) yesterday? Deeply disturbing. They talked about a great deal of indescriminate killing of the Iraqi people, the disregard for Iraqi corpses, placing weapons in the dead that had been killed etc etc. All of their stories backed up what I have heard from returning soliders in Ohio the last five years. Chilling stories. I believe these stories are the tip of a bloody bloody iceberg.
There was not a peep on the MSM last night about these hearings. Not a peep. At least C-Span was there. During the Iraqi Winter hearings I believe only Pacifica broadcast those hearings.
You can watch MSNBC from 5p.m to 10 p.m and not hear one thing about Iraq (although Keith went off the other night). It is 99% election coverage. When will Matthews and Olberman talk about these hearings? Who sets up the programming at MSNBC?

Why must people in your world be simply "one" thing: a comedian, a politician, a journalist? For a show run by simply a comedian simply for comedy, why does he book guys like Kristol, Albright, Mc Cain and Feith? Its not simply for laughs, and I think even you know that. There is nothing funny abou them and what they do. He wants something substantive from them- thats why he has them on. Otherwise, hed just book Denis Leary and other comedians on the show and play it all for laughs.

Bush's visit was billed as a celebration of 75 years of U.S.-Saudi relations, though they have been frayed by Arab perceptions that Washington favors Israel too much in the dispute with the Palestinians, the Iraq war and the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. The two countries used the occasion of Bush's visit to sign new agreements.
Among them was an agreement for the U.S. to assist the kingdom in developing civilian nuclear power. Another involves U.S. promises to help protect any Saudi nuclear infrastructure with training, the exchange of experts "and other support services as needed."
Now, how can we expect that Saudis won't use this to make nukes with?
After all, 15 of the 19 9/11 terrorists were Saudi. But yet, Bush is afraid of a Nation that hasn't attacked anyone in 100 years...?

Just listening to Bush makes me cringe.
Bush has again proven beyond any doubt he is the worst President in our history. He has been derelict of all his duties as President from the first day he took office. The only thing that should happen now t is that he should be put in chains and taken to the world court for his war crimes and arrested in the USA for his many domestic crimes. The Supreme court installed this moron in 2000 but we really have no excuse to the world as we elected this moron in 2004. We should make it right by hauling the moron off to jail.

I second the suggestion that we have a national campaign to Support the Troops by Stopping Golf - seems like something true Patriots could get behind - then a national campaign to Support the Troops by Lowering the Speed Limit to 55MPH a la Jimmy Carter. Then another campaign to Support the Troops by getting Low Mileage Vehicles Off the Road - are we serious about oil independence or is it just spin to appease us.
