Jon Stewart Blasts Bush for Appeasement Remarks and Golf "Sacrifice"

Jon Stewart teed off on President Bush last night for the ridiculous and controversial statement he made in Israel about his detractors wanting to "negotiate with terrorists" by noting that Reagan, Rumsfeld, and even Bush himself have "negotiated with terrorists." He also slams his good for the bold sacrifice he made by quitting golf.

Stewart is a moron and anyone who cites him as a journalist is a moron. Obama cannot run a country in a time of war especially when his defense against people trying to kill us is talking to them. You don't need to talk to them to know that they are radicals, they hate the jews and as long as we have a good relationship with israel the muslim community will hate us. enough talk, more bombs.

The Conservatives have no sense of humor... Well, unless it's making fun of people who've just experienced some catastrophe, and then they find it hilarious.

I think that a very big part of Bush's whining in Israel was more about the fact that his disapproval rating is the highest of any modern President than about the Prseidential election this year. Bush doesn't care about John McCain winning as much as he cares about his own popularity, getting his own way, etc.

Not a Peep from Jon Stewart ...Chris Matthews, Olberman, CNN, Fox News reported or brought attention to the Iraq Veterans against the War testimonies yesterday. Not a fucking peep.

Did anyone else watch the testimonies of the Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) yesterday? Deeply disturbing. They talked about a great deal of indescriminate killing of the Iraqi people, the disregard for Iraqi corpses, placing weapons in the dead that had been killed etc etc. All of their stories backed up what I have heard from returning soliders in Ohio the last five years. Chilling stories. I believe these stories are the tip of a bloody bloody iceberg.

There was not a peep on the MSM last night about these hearings. Not a peep. At least C-Span was there. During the Iraqi Winter hearings I believe only Pacifica broadcast those hearings.

You can watch MSNBC from 5p.m to 10 p.m and not hear one thing about Iraq (although Keith went off the other night). It is 99% election coverage. When will Matthews and Olberman talk about these hearings? Who sets up the programming at MSNBC?

When Stewart applies his challenging insights via humour to all issues then Stewart will be king. Stewart will not touch the Israeli Palestinian conflict or the Israeli lobby. Not a Peep from Jon Stewart...Not a fucking peep.

It's a half hour (22 minute, actually) COMEDY show. Did you notice he went of the air for 3 weeks after 9/11? Because it's a comedy show, not a news outlet.
There simply isn't enough space for all the sadness the cabal is heaping upon the world in 22 minutes. And it's not funny, either.

In response to:

"I sincerely think that people with low IQs are unable to understand satire or sarcasm."

I understand both. However, there is little satirical or sarcastic in the way Stewart handles his interviews during that portion of his show. He simply uses humour to get at the crux of the truth. The sarcasm that emerges during an interview is primarily used to illustrate a point. Why are you blind to that simple fact?
Why must people in your world be simply "one" thing: a comedian, a politician, a journalist? For a show run by simply a comedian simply for comedy, why does he book guys like Kristol, Albright, Mc Cain and Feith? Its not simply for laughs, and I think even you know that. There is nothing funny abou them and what they do. He wants something substantive from them- thats why he has them on. Otherwise, hed just book Denis Leary and other comedians on the show and play it all for laughs.

U.S. sees need for "tangible action" on Iran

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080516/wl_nm/iran_nuclear_israel_dc_2

Reuters - May 16 6:30 AM
President George W. Bush held talks with Saudi King Abdullah on Friday to seek help in taming record oil prices and shore up Arab support for his efforts to contain Iran's growing influence.

And the good king told W to go Cheney himself!

I think there is at least a 50/50 chance these SOB's might lose it and go off the deep end. And take us all down with them.

and we get the chance to take down some Repugs, that could be some mighty fine fun :)
Theres more peed off libertarians, liberals, democrats, progressives and annoyed independents than hardcore goopers.
Sheer numbers and the wondrous right to bear arms should keep the Repugs sleeping badly at night.

Saudi Arabia Friday rebuffed President Bush's request to immediately pump more oil to lower record prices, saying it does not see enough demand to increase production.

"No, we're not going increase production so you can attack our largest trading partner Iran and reek further havoc in the Muslim world.

Oh yes, Stewart is just a comedian running a comedy show and nothing more. THAT's why he books guests like Madeleine Albright, Douglas Feith, William Kristol and John Mc Cain: simply for laughs. Can you imagine what it must take to make arrangements for Bush to play golf?

The Secret Service would have to secure the whole golf course. They have to do background checks on the other golfers. Imagine searching Republican businessmen and turning some away as security risks!

Imagine watching an entire golf course for a potential sniper.

Where are you getting this Jewish conspiracy stuff from? Is it from the idea that politics has a mix of competing interests?

He should be made to sit in a chair for eternity, with his 8 years of speeches and interviews playing on endless-loop, and a feisty crowd of "terrorist appeasers" hurling rotten tomatoes at him every time he makes a "blunder". Let him simmer in his own stupidity. That would be torture, but now that it's legal...

Thank God for Jon Stewart, as these are the times that try men's souls. And women's.

You have to able to laugh in the face of evil sometimes.

I saw that too. They just "said NO". Bet that stung bu$h's petulant mind and out-of-control ego a bit.

Well, I have nothing to say to Miguel who is a liar and a fraud. However, I am interested in the future of Bush-Bashing. It seems that someday soon, a blessed day that will come as a major relief to over 73% of the country, George W. Bush will no longer have unfettered access to a microphone whenever he wants it.

Think of it. There's one person in the U.S.A. at whose merest whim a gaggle of cameramen and reporters will appear, and whose every utterance whether intelligent or otherwise will immediately be broadcast not only to the furthest corner of the nation, but in fact to every destination on the Planet Earth where a television signal can be received.

And it has been of the utmost humiliation to the United States that that one person for the last 8 years has been the product of a political system that treats the Presidency as a third-generation sinecure to be passed from one drooling inbred mumblefuck to the next, in "turn" to "turn."

But Democracy indeed does seem to have its merits, and on January 20th of 2009 the least capable, most embarassing moron to ever occupy the highest elective office in the United States will, for once and for all, finally and truly be served his giant steaming cup of Shut The Fuck Up. I look forward to his complete inability to find regular speaking gigs except at nuthatch fundamentalist churches and KKK meetings. Mostly, I look forward to never hearing him say a goddamn thing again.

Ditto. Poifect. Thanks.

A proper Christian would know that Christ died on the cross asking His Father to forgive the people who insult and Blaspheme the Almighty for they know not what they were doing.

I fear George W. Bush has an idea of what he's doing. It's evident in his remarks, "People who want to be popular in..." These were carefully cherry picked points of contention for Bush.
Bush's point could have easily been made about the Middle East had he said, "... learn the language."
Bush's point could have easily been made about Europe had he said, "... adopt the Euro."

So,
Why did he even mention the ICC?
A bit guilt ridden, perhaps?
This is how projection works...
... Blame others for what you see as faults of your own.

And George W. Bush has done it in God's name...

That "NOT" in Christ's statement is a very, VERY important "not" to be missed.
We shall never know what Christ would have asked for had His executioners knew what they were doing... NO?

But instead, Bush offered nu-clur technology to them...
Bush's visit was billed as a celebration of 75 years of U.S.-Saudi relations, though they have been frayed by Arab perceptions that Washington favors Israel too much in the dispute with the Palestinians, the Iraq war and the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. The two countries used the occasion of Bush's visit to sign new agreements.

Among them was an agreement for the U.S. to assist the kingdom in developing civilian nuclear power. Another involves U.S. promises to help protect any Saudi nuclear infrastructure with training, the exchange of experts "and other support services as needed."

Now, how can we expect that Saudis won't use this to make nukes with?
After all, 15 of the 19 9/11 terrorists were Saudi. But yet, Bush is afraid of a Nation that hasn't attacked anyone in 100 years...?

.

John Stewart still has a show? I thought he took off till November so he could join the Obama campaign. Maybe i'll check it out sometime, and then again, maybe i won't.

Oops, forgot to ask the obvious:
Are only European Nations mambers of the ICC?

Bush chose not to be a member because as a member, one CAN be charged by international authorities as a war criminal, arrested, renditioned, tried and punished up to exicution.

Heheheh.. oh brother... Little fuck was damned lucky to get 'ingenuous' spat out without screwing that up....half-assed mumblin little prick.... Does he still have someone whispering phonetically in his ear these days? 'Dicking around'... Yea JS.. That pretty much covers the cliff notes version of this trainwreck... Dumb fuckers been dicking around... for eight years now wrecking the nation or as the Onion once put it... 'Fratboy drives country into ditch'...... All that AND clearin brush on the public dime... And now the publics dime has a negative value of about minus a buck fifty give or take a generation or twos' wealth... Another mission accomplished I guess.. BTW Chimpy.. YOU will never have to worry about anyone confusing you for a 'cool guy'... ever.....Will never happen slick..JD

Just listening to Bush makes me cringe.

Bush has again proven beyond any doubt he is the worst President in our history. He has been derelict of all his duties as President from the first day he took office. The only thing that should happen now t is that he should be put in chains and taken to the world court for his war crimes and arrested in the USA for his many domestic crimes. The Supreme court installed this moron in 2000 but we really have no excuse to the world as we elected this moron in 2004. We should make it right by hauling the moron off to jail.

republicans are proof positive that god had a sense of humor!

I agree!

I second the suggestion that we have a national campaign to Support the Troops by Stopping Golf - seems like something true Patriots could get behind - then a national campaign to Support the Troops by Lowering the Speed Limit to 55MPH a la Jimmy Carter. Then another campaign to Support the Troops by getting Low Mileage Vehicles Off the Road - are we serious about oil independence or is it just spin to appease us.

Aaaaagh! I can't even be remotely appalled by Chimpy's stupidity any more.

Miguel @ 1:

Stewart is a moron and anyone who cites him as a journalist is a moron. Obama cannot run a country in a time of war especially when his defense against people trying to kill us is talking to them. You don't need to talk to them to know that they are radicals, they hate the jews and as long as we have a good relationship with israel the muslim community will hate us. enough talk, more bombs.

[Stop feeding this troll.Site Monitor]

The cold truth just bites doesn't it Miguel? Hey since you know so much maybe you can tell everyone here how we are going to pay for this genius war Bush pushed us to?

Hey Drunksfeld, how are things going in Mississippi these days? DOH!
Bring it on!

...............................................
Oh Marie, is it that simple ?? I was in a celebrative mood when Nancy Pelosi announced ,"There's a new congress in town." She said it with a kick ass attitude. I was like, "Hell ya ! Tell 'em Nancy!!" ('o')/ She insinuated there'd be a lot of change. You know what changed ?? She was pretty foxy looking when she got the promotion. Now she looks 1/2 asleep.....err, half dead. Also Marie - the date you are so excited about 1-20-2009 (when it's all supposed to change) McCain might be the new president (by gaming the elections) or Obama might be, but a real war with Iran might be raging.

so our Preznit is sacrificing for our troops in giving up playing golf. Is George Bush also sacrificing for the troops by giving up attending church? When was the last time Bush attended church services? Why has he stopped attending?
