The Real McCain Redux

It's been more than a year since Brave New Films released its first The Real McCain video, 'John McCain vs. John McCain,' long before the Free Ride McCain enjoys from "his base," the corporate media, helped him coast relatively unscathed to the 2008 GOP presidential nomination. Well, BNF has now come out with a sequel and it's a good one, showing just how far off the rails the Straight Talk Express has gone. So, without further ado, we give you The REAL McCain 2.

The Real mccain Reflux.

it doesn't exist until the msm reports on it...

i am not joking

it is not reality until they make it reality

their reality is he is a maverick independant and obama is the most liberal thing since trotsky

until russert says "dude, youflipped on like 7 major issues..here's the video"...it is just a pipedream of wayward leftists

Grandpa will soon be back asleep in the back of the Senate. Please don't clap too loud when President Obama enters the Congressional Chambers for his State of the Union speech. We don't want to startle the old codger.

"The Real McCain" : simply a lying , stupid , pandering old GOP fool in "Maverick's" clothing ...................

I'm so glad you posted this. I saw it over at Kos earlier today and thought it was outstanding. You can't make this stuff up and thanks to McCain being willing to say whatever he thinks might win one more vote, you don't have to.

Great campaign spot.

Straight talk doesn't seem to mean what I thought it did. I guess now straight talk means talking straight to your base and to hell with the truthfulness of what you say.

It would be nice to see the media report on this. But as long as Grampa is giving out free barbecues and free rides on his wife's face, the media will ignore his daily gaffes.

Is McCain REALLY safe for work? :)

I just watched a bit of a speech McCain gave today about how dangerous Obama would be as president if he is willing to talk to our "enemies". No real offense to Senator McCain but I swear he is an awful speaker. Not as bad as bush certainly but he is just boring as hell. He reads from the teleprompter in a monotone voice and his voice is like a sleeping pill. He might want to sound a little more involved in what he is saying and occasionally change how many sentences he reads from the left side teleprompter, then the middle one and then the one on the right.

Who is going to be the first in MSM to point out McCain's inconsistencies in what he says? Are they going to allow him to get away with everything and anything?

Break out the emergancy Aricept (donepezil HCl) for his Alzheimer's!

Is McCain trying to lose?

I know we have to force the issues through the corporate media. I know that the Republicans will lie, cheat, flip, suppress, and steal about 8 to 10 million votes. I know that right wing talk radio will keep lying and misleading a huge number of Americans on a daily basis. I know that all facets of the right wing Republican spin machine is going to go into overdrive for this election but.......If more American voters go for the lies, go for the spin, if American voters sit back and let another election be stolen, if the vote is even close enough to be flipped then we will get exactly what we deserve. I am tired of fighting with people who whole premise for their votes are based on lies. Their constant rewriting of history going all the way back to the founding of this country is so flawed that they think that the United States was founded as a Militant Christian Nation. I am just tired of it. If Obama doesn't win in a land slide there is no hope for this nation in my or my children's lifetime and maybe for ever.

"Georgia Republican Party chairwoman Sue Everhart said Saturday that the party's presumed presidential nominee has a lot in common with Jesus Christ.

"John McCain is kind of like Jesus Christ on the cross," Everhart said as she began the second day of the state GOP convention. "He never denounced God, either."

Everhart was praising McCain for never denouncing the United States while he was being tortured as a prisoner of war in Vietnam.

"I'm not trying to compare John McCain to Jesus Christ, I'm looking at the pain that was there," she said."

Well, it sounds to me like she's making the comparison. So McCain as a POW was like Christ on the cross? Stretch!

In late April, John McCain entered into an agreement with the Republican National Committee that would allow him to raise upwards of $70,000 from individual donors. Normally under the law individual donors have a maximum amount of $2,300. Big difference in the law and what McCain is doing.

Do we really want a president bought and paid for by a few very rich individuals? Did McCain author these campaign finance laws with the idea he could use this back door to raise more money than normally allowed? McCain looks more and more like a crook. Corruption!

Not only is that comparison sick, it's inaccurate. Grampa participated in propaganda pieces for the North Vietnamese.

Looking at what they did to Max Cleland, a triple amputee who jumped into a live grenade that fell from his belt to save his comrades... I highly doubt it.

Heck, didn't the GOP scum wore purple band aids in public to mock purple hearts during the 2004 convention? And yet the GOP is the "military" party. Bunch of idiots...

This is what people need to remember about McCain. In addition to having questionable morals, questionable ethics, and no known convictions, he also is unable to remember on a day-to-day basis what his own positions are.

This is the Republican who is supposed to undo all the damage the Republicans - himself included - have wrought over the last seven years?

Did he not earn the nickname "Songbird"? Maybe it was for his lovely singing voice.

Great job BNFilms!

Those who bought McCain's brand at the "Republican Pay Less Shoes" store are going to find out there was a summer special on "flip flops"... and a crappy, expensive pair at that.

McCain can't remember what he said from day to day because he doesn't say what he believes in his heart, he just says whatever he thinks the occasion calls for at the time.

The onset Alzheimer's doesn't help either.

McCain isn't a real candidate, is he? He even screws up Bush's talking points from Planet X.

This video was great - like a crack version of a Daily Show clipfest. McCain appears to be a real scumbag and not at all on speaking terms with the truth.

He is a good example of the mental derangement and longtime psychological scars that torture can inflict on a human being.

The Dude @ 29:

I definitively don't remember Jesus carpet bombing civilians either...

According to the Fairy Tales in the Bible, God committed genocide and mass killings even without the use of expensive and inaccurate bombs.

The only person that youtube has busted more for inaccuracies is George W. Bush and the sonofabitch is still in charge!

Thats what so fucking funny- it isn't ever going to change people- this is as good as it is ever gonna get and its pretty fucked!

The only question is: does McCain know that he's full of bullshit or does he actually believe his own conflicting, contradictory statements, (ie he doesn't know WTF is up).

Either way, the United States can't afford that kind of person in the Oval Office.

I used to think he was a windbag -- but it comes from so many directions at once, he's more like a tornado!

And just as destructive.
