If Olbermann had said about Bush, as Coulter did about Clinton, that , the only question was "whether to impeach or assassinate" him, Keith would be pilloried on the front page of every newspaper in America. And if Thom Hartmann had said about Ben Stein something like Glen Beck's "I'm thinking about killing Michael Moore, and I'm wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out -- is this wrong?", there would be faux outrage coming from the right calling for, no, DEMANDING that the FCC close Air America (and the FCC only too happy to oblige)!

I tend to agree with you in this case. But I am aware of so many instances of a crazy right wing talk show host advocating violence or even killing a liberal, that something should really be done about these crazies. There has got to be some laws on the books to hold these people accountable. It's got to stop.

I mean, if I went out on the street and told people that I am fantasizing about killing me some neocons, I'm sure I would find myself addressing a judge in the most polite way possible.

But what myself, and others are railing against is the Hannities, BOR's, Savages, Limbaughs and their ilk inciting violence.
They are actively encouraging their listeners/viewers/readers to go out and KILL liberals.
That is, I believe, ILLEGAL. And should be stopped IMMEDIATELY...and the perpeTRAITORS punished to the fullest extent of the law.

At the very least, they an incitement to violence and murder. They could even be considered Accessories to the crimes.

Now, it occurs to me that TELLING someone to go out and kill, torture and kidnap people is at the VERY LEAST inciting crimes. It may be considered a conspiracy to commit a crime. It not like they couldn't have know that telling millions of people to go out and commit barbaric crimes wouldn't have some sort of consequences. They knew full well what they were doing.

Remember that Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Dubya Bush and so on, didn't actually go out and kill millions of innocent people with their bare hands. They just told people to go out and do it for them.
