O'Reilly, Hannity and Savage preferred reading for Jim D. Adkisson
By John Amato Tuesday Jul 29, 2008 9:00pmAre you surprised that the TN Church shooter's reading material consisted of our favorite Conservatives?
Adkisson targeted the church, Still wrote in the document obtained by WBIR-TV, Channel 10, "because of its liberal teachings and his belief that all liberals should be killed because they were ruining the country, and that he felt that the Democrats had tied his country's hands in the war on terror and they had ruined every institution in America with the aid of media outlets."
Inside the house, officers found "Liberalism is a Mental Health Disorder" by radio talk show host Michael Savage, "Let Freedom Ring" by talk show host Sean Hannity, and "The O'Reilly Factor," by television talk show host Bill O'Reilly.
I'm sure to Hannity and BillO, the KnoxNews is just spreading liberal propaganda around to smear FOX and Savage because of their conservative views. It has nothing to do with their extreme positions. I'm only surprised the police didn't find James Dobson and Pat Robertson reading material either, but I guess they haven't had a chance to go through all of his things yet.

And yet, if he were reading things by left-wing authors, it'd be plastered all over the news. Imagine if he read Karl Marx?
I hope the families of the victims bring civil suits against them for inciting violence. You know the Bush justice department won't do anything.
Adkisson read "Let Freedom Ring"...and didn't throw away all of his conservative books after witnessing Hannity mangle math fractions?
Wow...
WhenIsItEnough @ 1:
If he read Marx he most likely wouldn't have gone off his nut and started blowing people away.........just sayin'.
First Savage picks on Autistic kids, Hannity and O'Liely spew venom. What did they think would happen? Dear Lord, why isn't MSM picking up on this? Just wait until Obama wins! The US is going to be filled with these crazies who will turn to violence. Pleasant thought!
Can that be used as evidence to enter O'Lielly, Savage and Insanity in a wrongful death suit?
Barnes & Noble and others should start a terrorist watch reading list. People like Hannity shouldn't mind giving up the privacy of those who would purchase their books. I mean, it is in the name of security.
Why do I have this feeling Hannity's book finally sent the man overboard ...
Ruthless People @ 6:
Dunno, but I'd sure like to see them tied up in lawsuits for a while. Keep the connection among these assholes in the public eye.
but let malkin say it and it's a liberal who did it to smear conservatives.
I hate these people. I really do.
V LaRoche @ 9:
If it served no other purpose it would be worth that.
If the musicians Judas Priest and Marilyn Manson can be dragged into court over their music inciting violence, then why couldn't the authors of these books?
abarts @ 7:
Just put these assjackets under a sign that reads "Domestic Terrorism".
MultiplyU @ 12:
have you seen the "Justice Department" lately?

Bush won't monitor those folks, they're his base. Only left leaning peaceful groups are on Bush's domestic terrorism and surveillance list.
I've been forwarding the story link (knoxnews) to everyone I know, asking the question, "where is the coverage?"
Right wing media, that's why. Or, "Reich wing" as Dr. Matt would say.
Gee, Thanksgiving down at my cousin's ranch in Kaufmann, TX should be really fun this year!
I just hope none of the guns are pointed at me.
I'm not surprised that all the Reslug, douchbag liars, on Faux Noise and hatred are popular with murderers.
Whaaa? @ 4:
Das Kapital is opaque going, it takes determination.
Let's face it. Our government is broken. Bush and his cronies did their best to destroy it. The Republican Revolution started by Gringrich started the downfall. These Republicans are taking advantage of an ignorant American public to weld their power. And the sad fact is they are winning. The fact Americans can't name their Congressman(or woman) or the Supreme Court Justices proof how lazy and ignorant we are. We reap what we sow.
I'm sure video games, rock music, techno and drugs are to blame.
Ruthless People @ 19:
Yeah. I wonder if the FBI is still monitoring the right-wing wacko groups?
It's all part of introducing the USA to the"Shock Doctrine"
Damn it.
I am sure if Obama's books were there the MSM would be blasting it at us hourly- as it is it has been barely mentioned....or his victims and WHO they were ...and that they were really good people...and oh, yeah Democrats...
If O'Reilly, Hannity, Savage and Beck didn't express anger on every program (even during 8 years of Bush), no one would pay any attention to them. Anger resonates with those who are bitter, and cling to their guns.
Otay @ 18:
Although now, they probably belong in the psychology section or the horror section.
Wouldn't that be a great topic to be brought up on this clowns shows. That they were the inspiration for mass murder. I hope they are proud of the hate they inspire.
P.D. @ 5:
Welcome to the house that hate built.
So when the Columnbien kids shot up their school Faux "News" was on the scene to ask "What kind of Music where they listening to? What kind of Video Games were they playing?" So I'm sure they will be the first to point out that this cold blooded killer got his marching orders from Faux News!
Hannity is sinking to NEW LOW... even for his base political sensibilities.
Today's Hannity complained BITTERLY about how Barack chose to "go work out at the gym rather than spend the time with the troops."
sooo... If Barack committed such an unforgiveable sin by trying to correctly AVOID using 'the troops' to score positive political points...
tell me... how can Hannity feel justified in using THE SAME ISSUE to score NEGATIVE POLITICAL POINTS against Obama's campaign. This is PURELY HYPOCRITICAL for Hannity to be using these WOUNDED TROOPS in Germany for his own political purpose. Hannity has no soul.
Today’s Republican Party is a freak show of hate-filled sociopaths, immoral religious and social extremists, insecure, overcompensating, irresponsible, dangerously incompetent, war-mongering imperialists and greedy, exploitive corporate anarchists. Just look at the odious and inadequate carnival barkers and snake oil salesmen the Republican Party had competing to be their presidential candidate. Republicans tacitly welcome homophobes, misogynists, racists, anti-Semites and messianic fundamentalist nut jobs into their party and inherently incorporate their values into their moral fabric and political objectives. Being a child of poverty raised with four younger siblings by a single mom, I’ve never agreed with social conservatives, but compared to Bush’s Republican Party, Eisenhower’s Republican Party was a liberal bastion of social and economic enlightenment and pluralism. Defending the actions of today’s Republican Party is advocating ignorance and evil over common sense and common decency. It would be hard to imagine that any presidential administration, Republican or Democrat, could have been as malicious, polarizing, undemocratic, corrupt or destructively pernicious to the founding causes and defining principles of our republic than George W. Bush’s. I am surprised that I am ashamed for the “good” Republicans, only because I could not have possibly imagined how “bad” some Americans were capable of being
I have a feeling few here are familiar with Jim Kunstler and his monday Clusterfuck Nation column. The long emergency is probably not in your lexicon. The concept of Peak oil isn't something you address in your rush to parse what increasingly obsolete millionaire pundits spew on TV.
But a regular assertion that Kunstler makes is that more and more bewildered manipulated meatheads are going to go ballistic with guns as their crappy little worlds come unglued and yes the Hate Speech megaphones such as Weiner/Savage, Limbaugh and nearly anyone at FUX are going to incite any number of brooding, armed imbeciles to go on strange suicidal forays with firearms with increasing frequency as their quaint and impossible 'Amerikkkan Dream' goes south.
The array of pitiful disasters from these domestic nutcases could eventually exceed the casualties of 9/11. Remember Tim McVeigh anyone? Get used to it and do your part to encourage ALL Advertisers for hate speech radio to bail as Spocko did last year.

Osage @34, if only I could riff as truthfully, it would be like Frank The Tank's savant moment in the debate from "Old School."
I salute you.
Remember the clown that drove his little pickup truck from Colorado Springs to Wash. DC
to shoot at the White House with a rifle hoping that he might hit Clinton? He was a big fan of Lush Rimbaugh. After that incident Rimbaugh had to proclaim that, "hey, I'm just an entertainer". Same thing Weiner, Hannity and whats-his-name will do. I can imagine the Klan will get around to claiming entertainment status also.
And so it begins. The wingnuts are now using guns to shoot liberals. It's no wonder. Just listen to the hatred these wackos are exposed to on a daily basis from the right wing nut jobs on the radio and on Fox News. This guy was probably ingesting that crap for years until his pot boiled over. I find it ironic that he was unemployed and on food stamps, yet he blames the liberals for his problems. Why would a liberal hater accept food stamps?
Republican policies sent the jobs away but he still blames liberals.
Reading a recent article about the shooting, as one female church member put it, Adkisson attacked the very church members who would have been compassionate towards him in his time of despair.
Dahgrostab'ph-r-i @ 32:
Well according to Medved, Grand Theft Auto 4's "attack on middle class values" and not the war on the middle class is what's destroying the middle class.

"Reporting the world, maintaining personal integrity"
Who cares what the lunatic read, this should be irrelevant, but the crowd mentality is alive and well, and us "liberals" are reinforcing our own stereotype of reactionary mud slinging.
its been stated by others. but if a black dude wearing a free mumia shirt so much as dented a fender at an evangelical church parking lot...... the MSM and right wingers would be all over it like flies on.... well. you get the idea.
and to do this to Unitarians... thats awful.
having said that. lets not make too big deal about this, i love violent video games, hip hop artists that curse & want to overthrow the government (big up Dead Prez!), and rated R films just like the next person.
none of these things would ever cause me to shoot up someone that i disagree with philosophically.....
Unfortunately and sadly, what I find ironic about this incident and similar ones from the past (and those that will surely happen in the future, perhaps as soon as tomorrow), is that the Republicans keep telling us that we need to be afraid of foreign terrorists following us home and attacking us here in America, perhaps in our grocery stores as an (R) member of Congress once proclaimed. Let's not forget the fearmongering spread every two years during election season when the Repubs warn us that we'll be attacked again if Democrats win.
To the likes of talking heads , it is your good luck that dueling was outlawed ,
I quote ,
At the period to which I refer duels were fought more often than they are today and men were more careful of what they said and to whom .
Horatio Hornblower , November 1852 .
What happened in Knoxville is a tragedy, regardless of the motive behind it. There's no justification for the killing of others.
That being said, considering the lies, hate and venom the right wing pundits force down the throats of their intellectually vulnerable audiences on a daily basis, it's a wonder we don't see more of this. I pray this is the only time it happens.
they are surely accessories to this heinous crime and should be charged accordingly.
I've got two thoughts
#1 Any chances we can try these assholes for murder the wat Charles Manson got tried?
#2 I wonder why Limbaugh wasn't on his book list?
Palast says it best:
Armed Madhouse
These fallacious "guilt by association" arguments wouldn't hold water in a high school debate, much less a court of law. The crazy dude shot up that church because that's where his most recent ex-wife attended. End of story.

Well, John McCain took the time to have another piece of his face removed for biopsy this week. He was even on the news advising all americans to wear sunscreen and stay out of the sun(not 18 year olds, of course) just like you would expect a senile grandfather to do.
Both candidates take steps to insure their health. One is a side note that has nothing to do with the candidates fitness to serve, and the other is borderline treasonous.

This Adkisson guy is an obvious liberal plant.
Does anyone really know a neo-con who has read more than one book ever?
Something fishy is going on here.
Dr. Hussein Matt @ 58:
Either that or he was a Weiner* fan to the point he believed what the nut says from time to time about "Hush Bimbo"
* Weiner is Savage's real surname.
Pete&Pete @ 47:
Agreed. If this were being done with a sense of irony, that would be one thing. But it is no different to blame conservative reading material for this tragedy than, as Michael Moore pointed out, heavy metal, video games or bowling for Columbine.
He was a man with obvious mental problems unable to get help, projecting the "cause" of his problems onto others. Yes, conservative pundits should be called on their hateful speech, but you can't simply lump them as the cause of this man's mental breakdown. We should be worried as to why he could not get the help he needed, not his reading list.
abarts @ 7:
Best idea of heard in weeks. H/t.
Pete&Pete @ 47:
No, it shouldn't be irrelevant and it is not irrelevant. Take your concern trolling back to freeperville.
Right wing smear merchants like Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, Beck and Savage launch daily attacks that label Obama an anti-Semitic, anti-white, anti-American black militant who wants to deliver our country into the clutches of Islamic terrorists. If the hate-based, far-right campaign against Obama continues, my greatest fear is that another Jim D. Adkisson will be convinced to take aggressive action against the Democratic Party nominee.

These right wingers are a danger to America and humanity. They see the "left" as the enemy but the left sees these creatures as opponents we can all get along with. It ain't gonna happen.
These people are more than likely plotting the total destruction of America. Then by some freakish design start America over in some type of fascist right wing ideological system.
The right is the enemy of free people.
"he felt that the Democrats had tied his country’s hands in the war on terror and they had ruined every institution in America with the aid of media outlets.”
Hmm... That means that there could be more of these types of folks out there ready to target major media figures? Well, perhaps that will wake them out of their apathetic "info-tainment" stupor...
Not that I'm condoning violent attacks on the MSM, but if it happened, I wouldn't be too terribly troubled by it in light of the damage they have collectively done to our country.
It feels odd to partially agree with a homicidal and disturbed individual, but admit it, plenty of us on here have also stated that the media is helping to facilitate the destruction of our nation. We just disagree with the right as to who is helping them destroy it.
But the MSM is lost to the puppet masters, what other options are available in light of the fact that only the MSM is "legitimate" media and all other media sources are merely "fringe"? How do we hold the media accountable for their complacency and enabling of the destruction of our Republic?
While we can, theoretically, vote out those Democrats who have handed Bush all he asked for, we don't have that same power over the MSM. So again, how do we hold the MSM accountable for their crimes against the Constitution and the people of our nation?
I would have assumed the guy played too many video games. /sarcasm

My peeps, my peeps.... Those of you who think this is isolated and or unconnected to ideology.... well... I admire your attempt at fairness, etc., but if you don't think war has been declared, you are at best naive and at worst delusional.
I recommend a visit here for any of you who think this shit isn't getting serious. Read the comments section. Then tell me there's not something in the air.
The right wing of today is just the klan and the neo-nazis re-packaged. They just took the silly outfits off and "adjusted" their rhetoric. To so dismissively equate them with 'left wing hate' - you know, the ultra-fair minded liberal argument that we are just as guilty (where do you find the equivalent of Michael Weiner on the left? Chomsky???) - is silly and dangerous. I'm left wing and don't know where to find that stuff. And does it have mainstream corporate sponsors? And is it broadcast from major communications companies? Is it published by mainstream corporate publishing houses?
I feel bad for the followers of this drek like I feel bad for the poor and working class white southerners that fell for the planter class' lies in the lead up to secession and war. But do I have one iota of sympathy for the leaders of these "movements"? Not at all. Nuremberg for the leaders, re-education camps for the followers. I never thought I'd hear myself say that, but really...what do you do with the people that have been brainwashed by this stuff? They are almost completely irrational.
I have been listening to talk radio out of sick fascination for years now. I am not one bit surprised that this happened. It was 100% inevitable. I am so tired of the "he was disturbed" argument. This man was troubled and stupid and duped but I don't believe for a minute he was "insane". No more "insane" than someone who reads Lenin and decides to go out and join or start a revolution. You don't have to be insane to kill (did all of those Hutus simply go "insane"?). All you need is a little hatred and the right circumstances.
Anyway... I grieve and tremble for what my country has become. But then again... maybe it's always been this way....
I've long anticipated that the hate filled rantings of right wingers, particularly those in the media (Limbaugh, Savage, Hannity, etc.) would incite acts of violence. I'm sure there will be more, particularly if Obama gets elected.
the guy was just a hate filled nut, his politics is incidental.

If how anyone has any doubt about how dangerous or influential violent political talk on the radio can be, the genocide in Rwanda gives a perfect example.
From an interview with the "Hotel Rwanda" producer:
Every time I hear Coulter, Limbaugh, Beck, Savage, Malkin, Morgan and their ilk start talking about how it would be OK to participate in the violence towards, or even the death of "liberals", Democrats, gays, and others while the host of whatever show they are on just sits there and giggles along, or even agrees with their violent hate speech, all while their loyal listeners nod in agreement and turn up the volume, I turn to my husband and say, "The next thing we'll hear is "Cut the tall trees"".
It has become perfectly acceptable for these reich-wing radio hosts to spout this sort of filth on a regular basis, and with nary a peep coming out from the MSM. If Olbermann had said about Bush, as Coulter did about Clinton, that , the only question was "whether to impeach or assassinate" him, Keith would be pilloried on the front page of every newspaper in America. And if Thom Hartmann had said about Ben Stein something like Glen Beck's "I'm thinking about killing Michael Moore, and I'm wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out -- is this wrong?", there would be faux outrage coming from the right calling for, no, DEMANDING that the FCC close Air America (and the FCC only too happy to oblige)!
And of course the ultimate insult that is added to the injury that is reich-wing radio is that any time one of their sycophants actually goes out and wreaks mayhem on our society, much like Eric Rudolph, Timothy McVeigh, or the "terrorist you never heard of", (who wanted to wanted to kill the black population of Jackson, Tenn., with mustard gas and explode a "dirty" bomb outside a courthouse, and who said, "Fuck them. Let God sort them out" when asked about innocent women and children.) In 2006!, somehow the LIBERALS get the blame!!! We brainwashed them, set them up, pushed them to do it, or according some, we liberals POSE as deranged, reich-wing gunmen just to make THEM look bad!!!!!! All this while the assert that the answer to the problem is MORE GUNS!!!
It does not surprise me that yet another crazed gunman was a follower of Faux News and their "talent". It also does not surprise me that that the FCC and DOJ does absolutely nothing while these professional inciters yell fire in a crowded theater. What does surprise me is that, in spite of all of the support they have received from the "religious right" and the Bush administration, Americans appear to be turning away in droves. Their BS is no longer being bought.
Maybe their is hope for my country, after all!
(I fully expect that this post will be scooped up by Malkin or the Freepers to illustrate just how angry and violent us liberal pacifists are on our evil blogs, proving, of course, that it really IS our fault.)
If anything, this tragedy proves one thing to be absolutely/infinitely/100% correct:
Con-servatism is a mental disorder
And this mayhem is Exhibit A, the defense rests your honor (the world).
Loonie @ 24:
No - it's far more likely that the zealot Christian churches are.
Hate radio is just an extension of the Christian Right loony tune Church.
The UU Church is far more atheist, agnostic and freethinker church. It is not Christian, although you can learn about all faiths there. This brain-dead, brainwashed gomer picked the UU Church because its members do think - they used their brains to think critically.
Don't we have a whole slew of new anti-terrorism laws that cover the incitement of hate and violence?

We could even set up a secret prison where people on the list could be held indefinitely without formal charges.

And...
...Sorry, getting carried away again.
I always thought reading the bullshit of O'Reilly, Savage, and Hannity would make one suicidal, not homicidal.
Hmmmm....seems to me that conservatism is mental disorder.
David N @ 73:
Actually Neo-Cons read extensively... After all they are former Trotskyites still trying to take over the world.
Now your average "New Republican" (those average Americans who joined the Republican party after 9/11 because it was the "in" thing to do, rather than because they actually know what being a Republican means), they generally don't read and only watch Fox News and listen to those right wing radio stations. That's probably about 29% of that roughly 30% (the other 1% being the Neo-Cons) that still worships Bush as their Lord and Savior.
Left&Left @ 87:
It rankles the American reverence for freedom of speech, but there is something to be said for the European conclusion (which they learned from hard experience) that threatening hate speech against a group _is_, literally and legally, assault upon that group. It extorts others to commit the battery.

I tend to agree with you in this case. But I am aware of so many instances of a crazy right wing talk show host advocating violence or even killing a liberal, that something should really be done about these crazies. There has got to be some laws on the books to hold these people accountable. It's got to stop.
I mean, if I went out on the street and told people that I am fantasizing about killing me some neocons, I'm sure I would find myself addressing a judge in the most polite way possible.

Conservatism is selfish, self absorbed, and a bullying cowards way of life. We all know these people, we all know that they were brats throwing temper tantrums when they were 3 years old because the world wouldn't kiss their little asses. Nothing has changed, except they've now developed a vocabulary.
The righties are whining that the books he read were irrelevant - that he was just a crazy.
Funny, I don't remember them saying that about the 9/11 terrorists. I don't remember them saying that the Koran was irrelevant.
I guess this is different.
peaceful easy feeling @ 55:
... ironically what you just said would not hold water in court either.
Anyhow, gotta love the tortured logic of some people: The gu publicly claims he hates liberals, goes on a shooting rampage against people he considers to be liberal, he has tons of books with hatred towards liberals... but they have nothing to do, it must be the ex-wife.

Right wing Government DOES have a Terrorist watch list of books people purchased. A lot of you don't remember Deep Core. It was a program enacted in the 1980's that was hidden from the general population.
Here's the problem.
The program was mostly designed to served NeoCon interests. So, all those folks that were buying books extolling the virtues of liberty... all the anti-Neocon books? The government has their eye on the people who've purchased them.
You can thank the rotting corpse of Reagan and the Bush family crime syndicate.
solid @ 96:
Yet, government, and Fox media don't seem to have much of an issue when people say they want to harm liberals or progressives.
Interesting.
Look people... it's not even a 'secret conspiracy'. They are doing this out in the open. Also, I feel the need to point out that history is repeating itself.
Every time a fascist group takes control of the media, they start encouraging attacks against dissenters. It happens EVERY TIME.
The previous poster is correct. It is horrifically obvious that if a liberal were to ever publicly advocate harming a NeoCon (thankfully they do so FAR LESS than NeoCons), they would quickly be contacted by the authorities, and face legal action. It would happen FAST.
When NeoCon's advocate Torture, Wrongful imprisonment or KILLING, they don't even get a slap on the wrist. In fact, they would get further talking points from the Right Wing Government. They might even get their own TV show, or a nice government job.
These men are shamelessly evil. I never thought I could see such a thing in my lifetime.
It makes me wish there was a hell... even if one has to be made especially for people who support such morally bankrupt behavior.
Wow. Now I remember why I stopped reading Liberal Blogs like this one. The vitriol! I am constantly amazed at the finger pointing to the right here.
NeoCons are all bad! NeoCons are terrorists! Blarghghghhhgghhh!!!!
All I have to ask is: Whatever happened to personal responsibility?
I don't care if the shooter had Mein Kampf, The Art of War, Tales from the Crypt, or bunch of Batman comics in his possession when we was arrested. Some people just have a screw loose. Some people don't have that little voice in their heads called a conscience. They lack impulse control and need help. There is no question that was the case here.
I have read more posts here that boil down to: "Ban those books that NeoCons write!" and "Sue those NeoCons"!
God damn it people! Listen to yourselves! Mob mentality is in full effect here.
Tragedy happens every day. This shooter will burn for his crimes one day when his name is called. Nothing you can do to him is worse. But by transferring blame for HIS actions onto the author of some book and then calling for legal actions against that author because he has a different political view that you do is tantamount to CENSORSHIP, which is one step closer to the Socialist America Obama is looking to bring upon us (Marxists know what I am talking about here).
Personal Responsibility starts with each individual person. Take care of your own house first. Last I checked, this is a country where I am free to think what i want. For now.
Drill Here @ 112:
I agree. Thinking should be free.
But what myself, and others are railing against is the Hannities, BOR's, Savages, Limbaughs and their ilk inciting violence.

That is, I believe, ILLEGAL. And should be stopped IMMEDIATELY...and the perpeTRAITORS punished to the fullest extent of the law.
Thank you for your concern.
Of course that should be "Thank you for your concern #112".
liberaMcSuuuurgeNmoderation @ 113:
At the very least, they an incitement to violence and murder. They could even be considered Accessories to the crimes.
The following may be informative:
"Conspiracy
In some jurisdictions, a person generally cannot be charged as an accessory to a crime unless the crime has actually taken place, although there are exceptions. In some situations, a charge of conspiracy can be made even if the primary offense is never committed, so long as the plan has been made, and at least one overt act towards the crime has been committed by at least one of the conspirators. Thus, an accessory before the fact will often, but not always, also be considered a conspirator. A conspirator must have been a party to the planning the crime, rather than merely becoming aware of the plan to commit it and then helping in some way.
A person who incites another to a crime will become a member of a conspiracy if agreement is reached, and may then be considered an accessory or a joint principal if the crime is eventually committed."
Now, it occurs to me that TELLING someone to go out and kill, torture and kidnap people is at the VERY LEAST inciting crimes. It may be considered a conspiracy to commit a crime. It not like they couldn't have know that telling millions of people to go out and commit barbaric crimes wouldn't have some sort of consequences. They knew full well what they were doing.
Remember that Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Dubya Bush and so on, didn't actually go out and kill millions of innocent people with their bare hands. They just told people to go out and do it for them.
Are they guilty of Murder?
You bet they are.

Would you mind citing factual examples of what was written or said by the Conservatives and Libertarians you claim in your post (113) that supports your assertion that They are actively encouraging their listeners/viewers/readers to go out and KILL liberals.?
Your accusations are weightless without factual evidence. Stating that you feel their message (since you referred to them collectively, so will I, for the time being) is one of hate and egregious violence, and promotes violence in others is a big statement. I don't like the message that the KKK spews each day, but I will defend their RIGHT to say it. Even though I know some people will be moved to commit crimes as a result of what they hear. Does that make the KKK a legal accessory? I'm not so sure. Brainwashing is a stretch even in this argument. The law must be on the side of enforcing Personal Responsibility for one's own actions.
I still stand by my argument that what people act on must be protected and only the actions be penalized. Anything more pushes the boundaries of criminalizing Free Thought and Speech.
If you take away my alcohol because its bad for me, then you are free to take away my tobacco and cheeseburgs for the same reason. Next will be the removal of ANYTHING the State considers "bad" for me. This is a slippery slope and never ends well. In history, it never has. Once you start cherry-picking the personal rights you choose to remove from society because they are "bad", it will never end.
This should scare us all.
The conservative talk show hosts are fond of calling anyone who disagrees with them names like terrorists and traitors. Now one of their fans shoots up a church full of people minding their own business, and they want to dismiss it as nothing.

You'll see a couple of quotes from Mr. Hannity (didn't some intern mysteriously die in his office?) and Coulter.
Still, it shouldn't be necessary for me to point it out to you. I'm not sure if you know what year it is, or about these 'new fangled' technologies that allow people to record broadcasts. I hear they can even put videos up on the web. There's even some crazy rumor that there are ENTIRE websites that serve no other purpose than to put videos up on the internet.
I know... it sounds crazy... The kind of thing that could only exist in the year 3,000, when we all have jet cars, and all our pets are robotic... but I could almost swear that I even seen some of those websites. Maybe it was a fevered dream?
Now, if you can't see the sarcasm in the last two paragraphs, I'd have to say that you're brain dead. It's not some rumor. Hannity and Coulter HAVE been telling people to attack liberals and democrats. Only an idiot would pretend that they didn't say it when we have actual RECORDINGS.
Take your head out of your rectum, and turn off your 'Larry the Cable Guy videos'. Try learning about what's actually going on around you.
