Cheney Wanted To Dress Up Navy Seals As Iranians And Shoot At Them To Get His War With Iran
By Nicole Belle Thursday Jul 31, 2008 8:45am
Good on Faiz of Think Progress for getting this exclusive:
Speaking at the Campus Progress journalism conference earlier this month, Seymour Hersh - a Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist for The New Yorker - revealed that Bush administration officials held a meeting recently in the Vice President's office to discuss ways to provoke a war with Iran.
In Hersh's most recent article, he reports that this meeting occurred in the wake of the overblown incident in the Strait of Hormuz, when a U.S. carrier almost shot at a few small Iranian speedboats. The "meeting took place in the Vice-President's office. ‘The subject was how to create a casus belli between Tehran and Washington,'" according to one of Hersh's sources.
During the journalism conference event, I asked Hersh specifically about this meeting and if he could elaborate on what occurred. Hersh explained that, during the meeting in Cheney's office, an idea was considered to dress up Navy Seals as Iranians, put them on fake Iranian speedboats, and shoot at them. This idea, intended to provoke an Iran war, was ultimately rejected:
HERSH: There was a dozen ideas proffered about how to trigger a war. The one that interested me the most was why don't we build - we in our shipyard - build four or five boats that look like Iranian PT boats. Put Navy seals on them with a lot of arms. And next time one of our boats goes to the Straits of Hormuz, start a shoot-up.
Might cost some lives. And it was rejected because you can't have Americans killing Americans. That's the kind of - that's the level of stuff we're talking about. Provocation. But that was rejected.
This is not a new technique. Remember one of the revelations from the Downing Street Memo was that Bush had suggested to Blair that they paint one of our air force planes to UN colors to try to entrap Saddam's army into shooting it down? It's like our foreign policy is being decided on by a protege of Wile E. Coyote.

100 years of war!
Does cheney enjoy killing people? Does he enjoy getting our troops killed? Or is he the most paranoid human being on earth?
I am worried as hell that we'll never make it to 1/20/09 without these amoral corporate stooges creating some sort of incident that ends up killing thousands of people.
I believe that the Bush administration grows more dangerous with every passing day.
It fills me with dread.
Cheney is a serial killer
KO's worst person is the DICK!
It just can't get any worse than the dickster.
Hilter and his Supermen dressed a bunch of convicts up in German uniforms, then gunned them down and blamed it on the Poles so they could invade in '39. That's pure evil in a truly compotent form. Luckily Cheney, Bush and the idiots that surround them are too stupid and incompotent to...
What?
Oh shit! You're right!
I shouldn't have typed that!! I just gave the incompotents a potentially viable plan to spark a war with Iran! Shit, shit, shit, shit....! (Gotta learn to seperate "inside" voice from "outside" voice...!)
Marge! Where's the "Any" key?!!!
Mick Piobr @ 4:
Me too and a lot of fear. Fear not of what some other country will do but of what our own country will do.
Oh c'mon guys - just ... leave ... you're done ... just freakin' ... leave ... please?
3 pissed off patricia Says:
All of the aforementioned!
"Support the Troops" my ass!
Wile E. Coyote?
Try the Nazis
When will people rise up and overthrow that man? I believe if we get a million people, it can be done.
Isn't it the time of year when the white house takes it's vacation. Isn't this the time when bush goes to crawford to pull weeds or whatever? How about as a going away present we give him the months of Aug through Dec. off? I would feel much better if he just played on his ranch for the rest of the year.
Black_Knight @ 13:
I think a Million Man March would be a great idea.
I think it wouldn't be too hard to get the people to go to Washington for that.
Hell, I would fly back for an event like that.
pissed off patricia @ 14:
But with Bush away, Cheney will play.
So by 'support the troops' the dumbya-darth regime means 'meat puppets are fun to throw into the grinder. We need to kill some more! My portfolio only increased 81% today.'
I've been wondering for a while how they are going to get their new war started. It's August and I can practically hear the 'tick... tick... tick..."
Whose to say they didn't try this a couple of times? There were incidents similar to this that happened. But thank goodness Iran didn't do anything.
Niccomm757 @ 16:
He too can go home and stay there. If we need anything we'll just call Sen. Obama.
Anything done by a country because YOU provoked them to do it is NOT an excuse for anything! I can't blame the criminal who shot me if I gave him a gun, forced him to point it at me, and slapped the gun around until it went off!
How can we do the same thing for entire COUNTRIES?
WTF? Is Bush's Administration cribbing from the Hitler regime or something? I mean, switch "Concentration camp inmate" with "Navy Seal," and "Poland" with "Iran" and "Nazi Germany" with the "United States of America," and you've got the beginning of WWII! You'd think they'd figure out that cribbing from the losing side of a war is usually not a sign of intelligence....
Reports like this and about the apparent suicide of Bruce Ivins seem to suggest that the conspiracy nuts aren't always, well, nuts. Everyday, I wonder what's happened to my country......
How is this NOT treason?
Moggy @ 7:
I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one that realized why that sounded familiar.
That is a great point. They learned that with the right situation Americans will rally for war. How can Americans continously to be so fu*king gullible. This is why our reputation proceeds us worldwide as "Cowboy Mentality" and don't mean Broke Back Mountain type.
POP @3,
DICK Cheney is certifiably nuts! Period! End of story!
We have a crazy guy, telling a stupid guy what to do. That's our foreign policy for another 6 months.
If you have to provoke a country to go to war with you, was that country really your enemy?
General_Rennenkampf @ 21:
From the very beginning it has felt like they were trying to "pick up" where schickelgruber and friends left off in an attempt to try and "fix" the errors their mentor made. It's easy to imagine darth cheney pouring over his maps and playing with his miniature city in an 'undisclosed' under ground bunker mumbling about how 'this time' things will be different.
NoGWBpolicyleftinplace @ 26:
NoGWBpolicyleftinplace, why don't you point out to me where in Hersh's narrative Cheney said he 'wanted' to dress up Navy Seals and shoot and shoot at them. Because other than the headline of this blog post, I'm not seeing it.
NoGWBpolicyleftinplace @ 26:
I wish with all my heart that I could disagree with you, but I can't. We are in two wars, the troops are stretched, the equipment is worn out and yet these two want to get into a third confrontation? They want to drop some more shock and awe bombs before they go. I don't think I could mentally make it through another sight like we saw in Iraq when this horrid invasion began.
pissed off patricia @ 27:
No, of course that particular country would not be. The US had no "enemies," even in the Cold War, merely political rivals, including the USSR as the only credible military counterpart. "Enemy country," implies a black-and-white way of political thinking that ignores the fact that the world is not black and white, but endless permutations of lighter and darker grey.
Now, POP, keep in mind that I know that you don't think this way. I'm simply explaining that I dislike the term "enemy" when applied, even in wartime. And this GWOT is not any sort of war.
Operation Northwoods comes to mind also.
Sadly, somewhere out there 9% of Americans still support this guy. Idiots.
pissed off patricia @ 27:
Jejune, patricia.
Hmmm....painting planes to make them appear as if they are from a different airline. I wonder if this has ever been done in the past by this administration. Have to think about that one. Did they say these supposed U.N.-resembled planes would be manned or remotely controlled? People on board?
Assuming this is true, this is similar to what the Nazis did to start WWII. The SS actually took some prisoners, dressed some in Polish uniforms and others in German uniforms, killed them at a border checkpoint and claimed that Poland attacked Germany, so they could "counter-attack."
Nada @ 28:
There's no fixing the stupidity of something like Nazi Germany, because that level of stupid cannot be fixed. If that's what Bush's Administration's been attempting, no wonder it's a failure.
♫..Bangkok Bob..♫ @ 15:
I mentioned that before...but with a million, armed to the friggin teeth, angry marchers!
Jim @ 36:
You're the third person to raise that. Evidently historical awareness is higher in the US than I thought.
the depressing truth in all of this is that nothing will happen to anyone considering such an action. in january the bush co. criminals will walk out of the office to full ceremonial honors and the patriotic celebration of their supporters for a job well done. how is this possible?
Nancy and Harry
General_Rennenkampf @ 31:
I understand what you are saying. By bush inventing the term GWOT it gave him all the powers a wartime president can have. It opened up some doors for him that should not have been opened. Hell, he has opened up doors for himself that have long been locked by the Constitution.
"It’s like our foreign policy is being decided on by a protege of Wile E. Coyote."
Um, no.
Reinhard Heydrich and Alfred Naujocks.
Operation Canned Goods, anyone? Unfortunately, that operation worked flawlessly as a means of concocting a "counterattack" justification for invading Poland; the current crop of idiots running our country into the ground would probably botch it so badly as to make Carter's attempt to free the hostages look like a clockwork mliitary op.
pissed off patricia @ 27:
Over the last 7+ years it has been made clear that herr dubyah and his criminal GOPigs can make anyone and anything an "enemy". These criminal scum actually have the 28%ers believing that Chavez is an enemy.
Next time you see that big W or Bush/Cheney 04 sticker on the back of that SUV or Dodge 2500, just remember, this is what they support.
the reason this shit is allowed to fly is because the major media will not pick it up as a blockbuster new story and run with it. These guys push the envelope farther and farther but this is way over the top. Middle America and our buzz cuts support them and as long as they feel they are being supported they will continue along the same lines. If ever the support waivers they will get them back in line with their standard line, "they are doing it to protect America." As long as their believers are willing to swallow that bull shit, they are steady ground. No matter how hard, we must all have the courage to stand up to them. Please understand as well that there is corruption on both sides. The more blatant must be dealt with FIRST. then we can deal with the pelosi's and reeds on "our" side. Unless the cheney's, bush's and rove's are first dealt with there will not be any country not as we know it left.
If true, which is debatable considering the source, Captain Fuck Off (Captain Cornonary?)is using der Führer Handbook, specifically at Gleiwitz near the Polish-German border. But it is possible LBJ staged Tonkin, so who knows.
Alles ist nicht klar.
Wouldn't be the first time... Well, at least it confirms who the Neocons are getting their foreign-policy inspiration from..
"The Gleiwitz incident was a staged attack on 31 August 1939 against the German radio station Sender Gleiwitz in Gleiwitz, Upper Silesia, Germany (since 1945: Gliwice, Republic of Poland) on the eve of World War II in Europe.
This provocation was one of several actions in Operation Himmler, a Nazi Germany SS project to create the appearance of Polish aggression against Germany, which would be used to justify the subsequent invasion of Poland."

pissed off patricia @ 41:
Yes, this idea has existed before. I look at Bush as a sort of Sulla figure in the US, turning our republic, slowly but surely, into a modernized version of the Roman empire. But if Bush is Sulla....who's Caesar?
If you don't know about "Operation Northwoods" go read about it now.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Northwoods
JFK fired CIA Director Dulles (old time Bush family lawyer, holdover appointment from the Eisenhower adinistration) because of his involvement in Operation Northwoods - and that's what got JFK killed, in the opinion of many.
To all you military people in the Middle East...if a superior officer asks you to dress up like an Iranian, you may as well paint a bright red target on your chest!
pissed off patricia @ 14:
I'm less concerned about Bush not taking time off than I am about Cheney still being in office and pulling the strings to Bush's brain. Thank goodness for people like Sy Hersh. His sources might just be the only thing keeping Cheney in check.
How about we dress Cheney up as a quail and send him to his place in Texas.
IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH.
MountainMan23 @ 49:
I agree with you. Kennedy believed in a transparent government, and this would have involved the intentional murder of innocent Americans in order to invent a reason to go to war with Cuba. They blew his head off instead. I find it interesting that in these times the National Security Agency would declassify this document from Kennedy's joint chiefs of staff.
Dennis @29,
I am not answering anything for you denny boy. If you haven't figured out by now through his actions that DICK Cheney is FUCKING NUTS, thats your problem! I ain't got nothin' to prescibe that would help you with your case of "chronic stupid," which is what you suffer from.

More wars = More no-bid contracts for Halliburton. Cheney doesn't care how many American lives are lost as long as he makes a few dollars.
Has nobody heard the anthrax story yet?
This is known as a FALSE-FLAG OPERATION or FALSE-FLAG TERRORISM.
Does cheney enjoy killing people? Does he enjoy getting our troops killed? Or is he the most paranoid human being on earth?
Cheney is simply an evil SOB who's greed knows no bounds. That greed takes the form of preemptive wars to secure a sovereign country's natural resources.
Keep emotions out of this, know what it is -- FALSE-FLAG TERRORISM.
dennis @ 34:
To quote someone, who I'm sure is one of your idols, "So?"
I don't understand how someone could deny 11 September 2001 as a false flag attack after reading this.
Google Operation Northwoods. Google False Flags!
Wake up before they unleash another false flag!
I can't believe we can read this here on the front page of Crooks and Liars but we cannot make the OBVIOUS connection to the Twin Towers. What do you think started all this? Do you think they would have left that to chance?
Unproven Public Support
Every time I hear the claim the public is behind a issue involving congress, I become concerned we are getting caught up in an assumption that is unproven. The Republicans seem to have a lock on this tactic of assuming public support, and it is getting out of hand.
These claims are usually backed up with polls. You and I know polls are as different as night and day or days in the year. First, let me say I write about the subject of polls all the time. It is a underreported dynamic that has a huge negative influence on issues, legislations and the very core of our government by the people system.
For the current drilling offshore issue, the Republicans have used this claim most people want us to drill. THAT HAS NOT BEEN PROVEN. The very first name the Republicans use to support their claim is Gallup. As if Gallup polls have a market on the truth. They don't,and they have a history of being supportive of conservative ideology. In fact, Gallup, along with CNN, USAtoday, Rasmussen, have been using unfair controlling poll tactics on the RealClear Politics site. They release under their name and re-release under two names. At first glance, it appears normal, but when you look closer, you can plainly see it is a controlling maneuver. To see a Gallup poll influenced by releasing another Gallup/USAtoday poll or CNN and CNN/Gallup poll is flooding the average with your numbers.
When you view how the question concerning drilling was phrased in the poll, you see there is a misleading use of words. To ask "if something would save money, would you allow them to drill" is very presumptuous.
I say we can use a bill saying the only way the claim of public support can be attributed to an issue must be voted on by the people. We need to stop the assuming.

Because Castro's regime in the early 1960s had no reason to do such a thing. The Soviets were propping them up, and helped keep their prosperity going after our embargo. Castro also had a relatively stable environment to rule. Contrast that with the Middle East, where instability only increased after the Ottoman empire was destroyed by the West, exploded with the rise of Israel, then hit critical mass around the 1970s with the Islamic revival owing to the people there getting fed up with the US and USSR stepping in and messing with them. There's a world of difference between 1960s and 1970s Cuba and 1990s and 2000s Middle Easterners, many of whom were doing terrorist acts. Baruch Goldstein, for instance. Or the Maronite militias in Lebanon, the remnants of which today ally with Hezbollah.

One can also suggest something a lot more up to date such as the Tonkin Gulf incident in Vietnam in August 1964 which LBJ used as an excuse for Congress to give "authorizarion" for the United States to illegally attack Vietnam. Ironically, chickenhawks like Dick Cheney are borrowing from the playbook from the Tonkin Gulf, a war which Cheney successfully avoided, to ratchet up tensions in the Middle East.
Cheney is a dangerous and evil man. If nobody in this administration isn't held accountable for all of the laws they've broken and all of the lives that have been lost, then our constitution is nothing more that a piece of paper.

I had sincerely hoped for the longest time that both Bush and Cheney be charged with war crimes and hung. I have to back-step a bit, they are both certifiably insane. I'm with Bangkok Bob and a few others... time to march on Washington en masse and in force. Take back the government.
right on! @ 112:
My opinion on that is it'll produce Bloody Sunday, Cubed. Instead of marching, why not simply have a mass drop-out of society, like the hippies, on a much bigger scale? If there's nobody fueling the corporations, they'll collapse.
Problem: Need for more war knowing people won't allow it
Reaction: Response from false flag terror attack (sheep scream....save us!
Solution: The people's support for war
Boycott nearly everything except necessities! Turn off the teevee and radio. That's revolution.
General_Rennenkampf @ 109:
Well, we probably shouldn't have a random invasion of any country as I see it. More than 30 countries in this world harbor terrorists (specifically "al-qaeda"). The masterminds of the '93 bombings have so many aliases it would blow your mind. Their connections/bases were in Kuwait. So it is a good thing there was no random invasion of Iraq? Makes perfect sense.
Same thing with 9/11. The "alleged terrorists" were mainly from Saudi Arabia. They were allegedly funded by Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. So we invade Iraq. Makes perfect sense. Really. I get it now.
107 dennis Says
"So far, no one can explain it to me. Because they can’t. It’s not there."
I normally disagree with Dennis on just about everything but in this case he does make a valid point. Its easy to assume that Cheney himself brought up that particular option but as far as we can tell from the video anyone present at that meeting could have brought it up. Herch doesn't mention any names. What bothers me isn't who put forth that particular option for consideration. What bothers me the most is the fact a meeting like that was even taking place at all. That is the real issue in my opinion.
Carey @ 116:
No, we shouldn't invade, period. Starve terrorism with soft power by improving the lives of people where it takes root. It's like Nazism and Communism, it feeds off despair. Two wars like this is a terrorist's wet dream. I'd say the US is about to learn the meaning of this phrase: Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin. Every act has its consequences.
Americans will believe anything the Bush Administration says or does. Look it's been a Wag the Dog show for the pass 6 years. Right now the Pentagon has an area in California made out to look like Iraq. The troops are filming as I write this as the footage is given to the media as if it were in Iraq. The fake picture of Bin Laden was a laugh around the World. Americans believed the WMD story and the Mushroom Cloud story so why not this. Notice the President of Iran gave an interview to Brian Williams in a place no American has been in. Not one Bush Official has gone to Iran. Yes Williams was treated with respect as the President of Iran was treated with total disrespect when he visited the US.
Americans will have to face the fact we're been played for fools by the Bush Administration. The GOP is using race to make sure the crimes continue. I listen to a White man say he was dying and needed a Doctor. The only doctor was black and he say he didn't care what color he was he just wanted to live. Think about that when you vote in this election.
Has any one called Pelosi yet?
All of Them Witches!
They are Evil Satan Worshipers!
Maybe I'm a little confused about this...which part of the story indicates that "Cheney Wanted To Dress Up Navy Seals As Iranians And Shoot At Them To Get His War With Iran?" I see that there was a discussion in his office, and that somebody threw this idea up, and that the idea was rejected, but I don't see anything to indicate that Cheney thought of it, was in favor of it, promoted it, or praised it. Yes, it's disgusting that the person who suggested it wasn't immediately fired, but does this headline really reflect the content of the story?
Capt. Bat Hussein Guano @ 120:
Pelosi has no clue what the laws are on anything. She's just a money making machine.
Whoops...I see that Dennis has already brought this point up and that it has largely remained unaddressed. My mistake. I shall be prepared to be called names now.
I think the headline should read...
“Cheney Wanted To Dress Up Navy Seals As Iranians And Shoot At Them"... After watching eating some Viagra and hearing Georgie sing "Candy Colored Clown."
Watch what Sy Hersh said a month before the New Yorker article was published at the Nation Institute event in NYC.
"..this administration will be lethal until 11:59am on January 20th."
"..no four start general can overrule Cheney."
Fill the larder, and hoard bottle water, It's Cheney time!
Very similar to how the US got Vietnam going.
General_Rennenkampf @ 118:
Okay, but with that last comment I thought that you somehow were thinking that we didn't invade Iraq in the '93 bombings so we shouldn't invade Iraq in the '01 bombings. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. It was all that Nigerian yellow cake, WMD stuff. Right???
Spankymac @ 122:
Yeah, let's concentrate on the poor grammar of the story's headline...
Cheney is really a sick man.
By not doing anything the people of the United States become accomplices of war crimes. For many countries today the United States is a criminal nation.
Folks, and the dear General in particular, can any of you help me resolve this conundrum?
There are all sorts of conflicts and theories and confusions over how the WTC towers collapsed. Very confusing for all of us who are only privy to information others provide us. When I get information from people with agendas, I take it with a grain of salt.
What to do? What to do? What to do?
Fortunately there is a source of unbiased, real time information that could shed a bright light on the Pentagon event. Over 80 surveillance cameras were recording events in the direction of the Pentagon at the time it was struck. Can anyone explain why the administration would have all those tapes seized if they supported the official story?
All the other theories, conspiracy threads, etc, etc, could be put to rest with the release of that information. Why do you suppose that information has been withheld from the public?
What?! But, I thought we are the good guys.
Just swinging to the rhythm of the new world order.

don't know if its already been said but that was how hitler got his reason to invade poland. he dressed up jewish/political prisoners as polish military and had them fire on jewish/political prisoners dressed up like german military.
This all sounds strangely familiar. Something that I heard and saw nearly 7 years ago.
General_Rennenkampf @ 113:
Alright... I'll give that a shot first. I know I agree with not fueling the corporations as much as possible and I love the hippie spirit of the '60s.
Chicken Hussein Little - NOT!! @ 131:
Yeah! I wanna see those videos! The FBI said it would be too traumatic, but hell, the mass media shoved those tower explosions and jumping people on us for months! I wanna see the videos!
And how could they act so fast in collecting them? They must have known exactly where all of those cameras in surrounding buildings were located because they collected them far too quickly from hotels, gas stations, convenience stores...like white on rice! Those FBI buggers are fast!
This is treason and he should be put to death.
Spankymac @ 122:
So you suppose they had a top secret meeting in his office, with him there and he didn't have a single word of input? That sure does sound like Dick "shrinking violent" cheney. He's such a quiet and retiring man.
Why is the 'mainstream' media not picking up on this? Typical.
dennis @ 107:
Funny how you always find a way to excuse any wrongdoing by a republican, and I mean anything. And yet you are like a rabid dog picking apart anything done by a liberal. Like in this case, you were able to move past the sheer inhumanity and general evil being reported by the story, in order to fully concentrate on the grammatical shortcomings of the title.
It takes a special kind of degenerated troll to have such misplaced priorities. The logical dissonance in your head must be deafening.
Anyhow, enough trollfeed for the day.
pissed off patricia @ 111:
Princess still can't find the mouse in "Good Night Moon" either.

do the orders still stand ?
There is no proof that Iran is building nuclear weapon. There is proof North Korea has a nuclear weapon.
North Korea has no oil. Iran has oil.
Understand now dumbasses?
The Rise of the Fourth Reich: The Secret Societies That Threaten to Take Over America
by Jim Marrs
While the United States helped defeat the Germans in World War II, we failed to defeat the Nazis. At the end of the war, ranking Nazis, along with their young and fanatical protégés, used the loot of Europe to create corporate front companies in many countries, including the United States of America. Utilizing their stolen wealth, men with Nazi backgrounds and mentalities wormed their way into corporate America, slowly buying up and consolidating companies into giant multinational conglomerates. Many thousands of other Nazis came to the United States under classified programs such as Project Paperclip. They brought with them miraculous weapon technology that helped win the space race but they also brought their insidious Nazi philosophy within our borders. This ideology based on the authoritarian premise that the end justifies the means—including unprovoked wars of aggression and curtailment of individual liberties—has gained an iron hold in the "land of the free and the home of the brave."
L.A. Confidential @ 84:
And neither their sons nor their daughters will enter the military and be placed in harms way by the leaders of their class.
Meanwhile, the other 90% suffer, and almost half of them vote repeatedly for corporate fascists because they equate Liberals with Stalin and are afraid their grandchildren will have to learn Spanish and marry gay black people. Bill O'Reilly whines and moans about how rich people like him are taxed, and the lower 90%-ers among his listeners all get angry with -- not at!! -- him.
Too many of the lower 90% are just too willing to listen to lies that cater to their prejudices and fears. Obama is the most dynamic presidential candidate to come along since JFK. McCain embarrasses himself daily . If the 90%-ers were united, McCain would get 10% of the vote and the rest of the world would breathe a sigh of relief. As it is, Obama is going to have to campaign furiously just for a chance to squeak by to victory

History. It doesn't go away.
Carey @ 136:
That's what the FBI said? That it would be too freakin' TRAUMATIC to release those tapes?
Wow, I hadn't heard that little jewel of steer poop. People are actually accepting that as an acceptable explanation? Holy Jeez, that is just to amazing, I'm going into the weekend with my mind officially blown. Thanks for messing with my mind Carey, I am speechless with astonishment.
negativnein @ 142:
Hmmm....do the orders still stand...do the orders still stand...does that mean there was a "standing order"???
And what could that "standing order" possibly be?
Well, the plane was flying in towards the Pentagon and was on Cheney's radar while this young man (as you quoted) was asking Cheney about Cheney's "order".
And, no one shot at the plane targeting the Pentagon, even though our mega-gajillion dollar military could easily have shot it down.
So the order was to OH MY GOD "not shoot"????
Tell me it ain't so brother, please tell me it ain't so!
I'll have to review that whole scenario. I think it is filed under the Mineta testimony in the highly acclaimed and often read 9/11 Commission book on omission and distortion.
