Good vs. Evil: Sarah Palin's Dangerous, Bush-Like Worldview

Another disturbing snippet from Palin's interview with Katie Couric.

We don't have to second-guess what their efforts would be if they believe … that it is in their country and their allies, including us, all of our best interests to fight against a regime, especially Iran, who would seek to wipe them off the face of the earth. It is obvious to me who the good guys are in this one and who the bad guys are. The bad guys are the ones who say Israel is a stinking corpse and should be wiped off the face of the earth. That's not a good guy who is saying that. Now, one who would seek to protect the good guys in this, the leaders of Israel and her friends, her allies, including the United States, in my world, those are the good guys."

That Sarah Palin shares the Bush's administration's good vs. evil mentality should give us all great pause, especially since her foreign policy crash course is being taught by the likes of Joe Lieberman. We may not know very much about Sarah Palin, but it's clear she shares this radical view of foreign policy.

For more, see this article by Glenn Greenwald about his second book, A Tragic Legacy, that examines this Manichean theme in great detail.

Does anyone know if the presidential debate is available on line for insomniacs in the UK?

Which of your TV stations is broadcasting it?

Wake up people. It really is a struggle between good and evil. Light and darkness. Very simple to see if you open your eyes. I congratulate Sarah on seeing what a lot of you cant because of preconditioned thoughts induced by darkness. Think it over and be truth full with yourself.

The problem is she is bringing the darkness. Her egoic religious background is not as "good" as religious people think it is.

Please keep this imbecilic pentecostal psycho away from anything resembling power. Please tell me my country is better than this. I want to believe.

Easy .. all we need to do it KILL ALL THE BAD GUYS.

Bush Doctrine.

Works GREAT !

Even reich-wing columnists like Kathleen Parker are saying she's out of her depth and should high-tail it back to Alaska.

The Couric interview was definitely cringe-inducing.

Wow... This is so far beyond frightening...

Palin's summed up her entire foreign policy view as a struggle between "Good Guys" and "Bad Guys"...

Black and White, Good and Evil, Right and Wrong.

Haven't we had enough of this ignorant, intolerant one-sided point of view about a complex world that has largely been defined by the self-interests of the powerful?

On another point, this strong woman bimbo defers to male superiors (McCain, Lieberman, etc.) completely. Maybe that's why the fundamentalist Christians like her ...

Exactly! There is also something in ethics called good versus right... and the myth of pure evil, which this exact example falls under.

What's disturbing is that this woman has reproduced, and have you taken a real good look at the sperm donor.

My children wrote more in-depth ideas on world affairs in their high school compositions than this lady is spouting in the campaign. Has she ever read a book on any of this? It's hard to follow what she says, not because it is too intricate, but because it's too simplistic and disjointed.

I am sure she has great appeal to all the people out there who think that you shoot first, ask questions later.

from zero to potentially the most dangerous woman in the history of civilzation.

it's surreal to me that someone can watch these clips of her and still think it's a good idea to put her in the vp slot.

truly revolting.

She's has great appeal to about half the country because she's dumb like them. Can't trust anyone with actual intelligence ya know. Arrogant elitists...

Sounds about right to me.
---George.

wow.. why is she so stiff? good guys vs bad guys? it looked like she was about to explode or something!

/shudder

Can this bimbo be any more like Bush and Cheney? So she supports invading and killing the people of each and every country who are "bad guys" to protect the "good guys." This is childish thinking and is why we are in such deep doodoo today.

I think she said she supports the Iraq war in the interview, which should give people pause to vote for her and McSame this November.

Anyone of us, if pushed hard enough, can become a bad guy. It's all a matter of how aware we are of our reactions to our situations. Just look at how most of the world now perceives the United States. Our world view, from the perspective of other countries often reveals us to be "the bad guys."

Anyone who says they've never had their buttons pushed is lying. Anyone who says they think Palin is smart is also lying.

Her unblinking ignorance gives me enough pause.

Sheeesh. Only in America, as they say.

She lives and breathes authoritarianism. Everything in her world is polarized to the nth degree. So, it not only makes her disturbing; it makes her very dangerous in a world in which international diplomacy has to be taken at many angles.

She has a theistic view that is a clear and present danger - as is McCain's choice in her, as his running mate, after only meeting her 2 times previously. Obama, however did a great job in researching and choosing Biden. Colin Powell has now endorsed Obama too! I think seeing the potential of a "Holy War" under the McCain/Palin administration helped influence his decision.

“Either you’re with us, or you’re a threat that must be eliminated.”

It seems their mushroom cloud is what happens to their brains when they eat them.

Dumb, Dumber, Dumbest. . . the most incoherent foreign policy view I've heard. Please give her a plane ticket back to Alaska and let her hunt moose or whatever it is she kills in the wilderness! Just keep her away from the oval office!

She is parroting back what she has been programed to say.

Someone at Kos put it perfectly yesterday in response to the question she was asked about Russia. The person said, Sometimes she answers questions and you wonder if someone shuffled up her cue cards.

"Ah, well you knooow, that it says in the scriptures that aggressive war, slavery, homophobia, sexism, incest, and a whole load of

other sordid behaviors are OK!", Gov. Palin said to Vladimir Putin.

Putin then asked, "Будете ли вы дать мне задницу?"

Palin deftly responded, "Just drink some hot tea and pray to Rev. Muthee and that sore throat will go away!"

Dumb little bitch.

"I can tell them apart because the good guys where white hats and the bad guys where black hats don't ja know."

I wonder what Putin has to say about this stupid fool?

I can't believe that ANYONE is even putting Sarah Palin into consideration for anything. She is completely ridiculous and the fact that she's even in any kind of conversation at all is giving her too much attention.

She should be completely and utterly IGNORED.

She, like bush, can only understand things in the simplest of terms. Forget learning who the "bad guys" are, just always refer to anyone you want to go to war with and kill, as the "bad guys".

This echoes the whole fundamentalist and Pentecostal theology. According to them, anyone who opposes Israel will be doomed. It sure leads to ugly foreign policy if Israel can do no wrong.

Sheeesh. Only in America, as they say.

This country has a unique ability to not just produce fucking morons...but also put them in positions of power.

Anyone surprised by America's rapid decline?

I thought it was a lot worse than Bush's standerd "good vs. evil" narrative. As dangerous and simplistic as the good vs. evil narrative is, at least it's a time-honored tradition for the right. dBut I've never heard anybody over the age of seven have to start explaining geopolitical struggles in terms of the GOOD GUYS and the BAD GUYS. Seriously, HOW OLD IS SHE? Did you hear that squeeky immitation of Henry Kissinger she did? Does she ALWAYS talk like a 16 year old valley girl? If the Bush presidency was operating at the mental age of 15, a Palin administration would bring us down to pre-school levels.

From Sam Harris' excellent prose:

What is so unnerving about the candidacy of Sarah Palin is the degree to which she represents—and her supporters celebrate—the joyful marriage of confidence and ignorance. Watching her deny to Gibson that she had ever harbored the slightest doubt about her readiness to take command of the world's only superpower, one got the feeling that Palin would gladly assume any responsibility on earth:

"Governor Palin, are you ready at this moment to perform surgery on this child's brain?"

"Of course, Charlie. I have several boys of my own, and I'm an avid hunter."

"But governor, this is neurosurgery, and you have no training as a surgeon of any kind."

"That's just the point, Charlie. The American people want change in how we make medical decisions in this country. And when faced with a challenge, you cannot blink."

Joyful marriage of confidence and ignorance to be sure, but I'd even go further. It's a marriage of certainty and ignorance.

What scares me more than anything else is that AFTER being coached, she still sounds completely moronic. She has no idea what she's talking about and hopes to still impress people because she can remember a couple of names here and there.

Deja vu, anyone?

pissed off patricia Says: She is parroting back what she has been programed to say.

Sometimes she answers questions and you wonder if someone shuffled up her cue cards.

Seems like she can't get her "rhythm" quite right either.

McCain has insulted every woman on earth by picking this woman and holding her up to be the woman most qualified to be president in the event something should happen to him. She isn't qualified to answer the phone at my husband's lab. There must be thousands of women if not millions who could take her down in a debate. Every female I know is wiser than this woman. Hell, I've even had cats and dogs who were smarter and faster learners than she is.

Scary thought theres actually a decent chance she will become the 45th president of the United States.

Seriously I am sitting here dumbfounded...at certain points it seemed like she was reading a scary, scary bed time story about the good guys and the bad guys...her eyes wide, her expression vacant...I haven't stopped shaking my head over this one and I thought the Russia is my neighbor story was reawwy scawy!

I'll take "Sabre Rattling" for $1,000 Alex...

Sabre rattling on at least one side of the fence, that is. If you look at recent history (say the past 100 years), Iran has never attacked another country. US has. Not to defend Ahmadinejad, who is every bit as much of a religious lunatic as Bush and Palin, but Mr. Iran (I'll just call him this from now on, it's a lot easier to type and spell) did go on to state that Iran has no intentions of attacking anyone. It's all bloated rhetoric.

It's like this: If I were to state that I think Bush should die (which is illegal to state or say, please Mr./Ms. Moderator and /or Secret Service Agent X, understand that I am only stating this for purpose of hypothetical argument and do not delete this post or send me to Gitmo!!!!), it does not mean that I intent to do the dirty deed. I would probably hire AC/DC for such a task, I hear they have reasonable rates.

Just kidding, of course...

Putin DARES to invade OUR air space???

There is only one solution. And it's the same solution for every problem ever faced:

We must privatize the air.

Enter our airspace THEN, Mr. Putin and, at the very least, we can fine you for trespassing.

Please, don't anybody spoil the ending for me. I started watching part 2 of the interview this morning and I'm only about 3 minutes into it so far. You see, I have asthma and I can only stand to watch 10-20 seconds at a time because the hysterical laughter gives me a coughing attack. I should be able to get through it before bedtime tonight unless.... Oh, shit! My inhaler is almost empty!

Please give Sarah Pallin a chance. She's as competent as McCain, and that doesn't take too much imagination. McCain has a severe cognitive malfunction.

wow.....NOW it's the GOP party instead of the republican party.
the grand old party...party.....the identity 'republican' is group

All I can say is thank GOD she's shown who her true allegiance is to (hint, hint...it's not to the United States!!):

Consider Palin's pastor, Rev. "Witch Craft Hunter" Muthee laying hands on Palin and "showing her a way" to power, then think of the "end times" belief she and the rest of her right-wing wacko pseudo- Christian believers follow, and suddenly her love for Israel and AIPAC are understandable! Isn't that where the Temple will rise from the ashes??

Humina, humina, humina, humina....

Once McCain is out of the picture and she and Lieberman are in charge, she'll surely believe JEESUS! is whispering in her ear telling her to lob some nukes into Iran to get the whole Temple rising from the ashes action happening.

To think that half of the voters in this country are planning on voting for this batshit crazy female on Nov. 4th is really too much to stomach.

On the bright side, it looks like she finally figured out the answer to the questions about the Bush Doctrine! She should get a Gold Star for the day.

LOL

I can see it now…

Air privatized, and sub-prime loans given to those who want air, but can’t afford it. Then the loans fail and we need an air-bail-out. Crises ensues and we’re left with no air at all. Pundits will fault those who got air but really didn’t need it, and those who charged too much for the air to begin with will ask to be put in charge – of the air.

“All I need is the air that I breathe – and to charge you…”

RE: she a fucking devil's whore.

Interesting that you should say that. There are beliefs that all religions were started by the devil to divide humanity. If you think about that there is a stronger sense of logic in that than there is in religion being "good".

"Christian's" for example don't even directly follow the teachings of Jesus. The bible was composed by Constantine the Great and the First Council of Nicea. That means the egos of divided men interpreted and improvised most of the bible.

"Good" guys vs. "Bad" guys? WTF? Is this an episode of a QuickDraw McGraw cartoon?

Paul Begala got it right the other day on CNN when he called Bush a moron.
Seems we can expand the list now.

From the great Judy Holiday: What d'ya think I am? Dumb or somethin'?

Someone said today that she was a good choice for McCain because she brought a boost to McCain's campaign. I think it might have been Pat Buchanan who said it. A boost? She's good because she bought "a boost" to his campaign? Don't we need a little more than that from a person who might be president of the United States? Hell, as boring as his campaign was, a little fluffy puppy would have stirred as much interest. It's not what she has to offer the country, but what she has to boost a campaign. Yeah sure, Senator McCain, it's always country over politics. Sure it is.

This is the result of the brainwashing Liberman did with Palin a few weeks ago. She just spews BS talking points that reflect that idiots Pro-Israel stanse.

Palin learned all about Israel from the bible that makes her an expert on foreign policy and the Middle East.

That's exactly what I've been thinking. She can't answer questions about current policies because the policies she knows are 2,000 years old and no longer apply to a real and valid world view.

I have to say that was Couric's best interview ever. She kept it cool and on target. She even filled in some blanks for Palin without seeming to sympathetic for Palin's own hubris for allowing herself to pretend she is qualified to hold such a position. although Bush has set the tone for that type of arrogance.

What I still don't understand about Couric's interview methods is why she ripped into Valerie Plame during her interview Couric really attempted to blame Plame for her own outing. Couric baited both Plame and Wilson for the outing of Valerie. Instead of Couric really getting how serious the Plame outing was she tried to turn it around on the Wilsons. It was the most bizarre interview. The only thing I can figure is that Katie does not like being around people who are far more brilliant than she could ever imagine being.

turns out that what ackmidinijad (yeah i know) meant was "to wipe off the map" in the sense of changing the political map. his answer to that was, where is the soviet union? it's been, in a sense, wiped off the map. he explicitly clarified non-violent, not a violent change. oh well, those are the shades of gray that black and white moralists don't appreciate.

there is one good guy/bad guy scenario that i subscribe to: the good guys vote for obama/biden on november 4th, and the bad guys vote for this dumbass and her evil cohort . . . no gray areas and no tolerance for differing opinions, because there just isn't any more slack left in this nation's rope

Did she say that she would attack Iran? No. In fact, Barack Obama has said that he will use military force against Iran if necessary. If Iran were to bomb or go to war against Israel, an ally of the U.S., the U.S. and it's allies would have to, and would, step in and go to war.

It is not about just killing the bad guys like all of you say that it is, that is ridiculous and ignorant.

It all depends upon how you define "necessary" now doesn't it. Bush and McDerugulator seems to think that the word "necessary" means anything that they can get away with. Obama seems like an educated man; I bet my vote that he sticks to the dictionary definition of necessary.

There's no doubt she's an idiot, but this is not a clip that is likely to alarm many people who aren't already horrified at Palin for other reasons.

Not only Couric was entertaining that question. I bet a lot folks in the U.S. were probably thinking the same thing.

There's no other way, besides the religious angle that demonstrates her alleged assets to the McCain campaign.

My guess is Karl Rove. And, she did it without a bag over his head.

Yes.

There was a three stage strategy to the McCain campaign.

1) McCain started calling Obama the "Anti-Christ", which he later claimed he only did for fun. Think about this though... did it not enrage the "Christian" community at large? It wasn't just in fun. It was to start a movement within the "Christian" communities to get them on the McCain bandwagon.

2) McCain's preacher wanted McCain to wage a "Holy War".

3) Enter Pentecostal Palin and you have your unholy trinity.

These clips should have a surgeon general's warning. How many people are going into cardiac arrest as they watch these and imagine her negotiating with the Russians, refereeing the Iraq quagmire, or even brokering peace/Armageddon in the middle east? Careful with posting these, we don't want to lose any of our voters whose health may be a little fragile. Well, maybe more of their voters will get raptured up just watching her.

"The ad which focuses on Governor Palin's record regarding the treatment of wildlife in Alaska seemed to strike a chord with voters," commented Glenn Kessler, president and CEO, HCD Research. "The recent ads from both parties have had little impact among voters. This is the first ad in over a month that seems to have broken through," he added.

This is an excerpt from a letter sent by Roger Schlikeisen, CEO of Defenders of Wildlife. Roger worked in the Carter Administration

"As the election draws closer, it is getting more and more costly to run our ads. But if you can help us raise $250,000 by next Thursday, we can keep our ad on the air in Ohio, Florida, Northern Virginia and Michigan for a few more days and run the ad in another key battleground state -- Colorado.

This is a powerful story. In less than two weeks, this video has been viewed on YouTube nearly 380,000 times. It has sparked news stories on Governor Palin's awful environmental record in The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, CNN and --just this past weekend -- a CBS Nightly News segment. And the TV ad has already been seen by millions of potential voters in Ohio, Florida and Michigan.

Together, we can do more. I need you to join the fight to let potential voters know out about Governor Palin's awful policies

Dont'cha mean a frigid fish in roiling seas?

From the litter of little Palins that she has, I doubt she is frigid.

Not a bad idea.

Gimmie a nice big check.

I been meaning to get my tube tied anyway.

comrade ramrod @ 71:

Honestly, McCain must be wishing he was back in a tiger cage every time she opens her mouth. Hell, I'd rather listen to Lieberman metaphorically fellate John McCain on CNN for a billion hours than listen to one syllable from Governor Mukluk Dumbfuck Palin. This woman needs to be shot into space like a test monkey.

you'd choose lieberman over palin? all extremists look/sound alike to me . . . i say shoot them both into space, elect obama and then, every once in a while, tune into a nice, substantive state of the union address

68 The Very Bitter Ceci Hussein Says: Speaking of the morans, did anyone hear what Paul Begala had to say?

He hit the nail on the head, Lol.

They’re calling the finest moment on cable.
------------------------------

paul begala is the best of the strategists/consultants making the rounds. he finishes his point and doesnt allow himself to get talked over. other democratic strategists are TOO NICE to their republican counterparts that they dont get to make their point and end up with less time to respond. begala doesnt waste his tv time and makes sure his choice of words enjoys maximum impact. we need more of him making the rounds. it's good that he appears on msnbc as well.

pissed off patricia @ 88:

I almost...almost feel sorry for her. This campaign stuff is harder for her than running for PTA pres, mayor or governor of Alaska ever was. Now she's on this great big world stage and she is hearing people call her a moron, idiot, stupid, incoherent and god knows how many other things. That's gotta hurt whether she will admit it or not. She went from being a big fish in a frigid pond to trying to be a big fish in roiling sea. If I were her I would cut my losses and get the hell out of Dodge while I still had a shred of my dignity.

i feel for the 'gender' voters that are supporting palin. i can understand
wanting to see changes regarding gender but to force it when there
is so much talent out there that are deserving. this support says a lot
about this country. i've been against the pick since that friday morning
it was announced....why? because it reveals poor judgement by mccain.
mccain would rather win an election than provide sound leadership.

i touched a bible once so,
that makes me a biblical historian.

i drive by churches all the time so,

the only thing that is sure about palin is
at some point she laid down with someone
and now has kids.

What Palin Lacks

What Sarah Palin lacks to lead this nation is the ability to communicate in an official manner. It does not have to come dressed in elegance or complicated form. However, it must come in an effective form.

As is, Palin sounds like a hillbilly or something left over from the Disney channel. Every time she speaks, there is a silent expectation she will say: "by golly that is down right un-American." If Marry Poppens had a speaking style, Palin would swim in it. If this were a job for elementary school kids, she be in her element. My pet goat anyone.

Joseph

She gave just the answer we trained her to give. Give the pitbull a treat.

Most of the electorate probably doesn't know what "Manichean" means. Most of the electorate probably DOES think in terms of good versus evil. That's what they hear in churches (Go'd versus D'evil), that's what they see on TV (Heroes and Villains), that's what they hear from hate radio, both far right and left, and that's the paradigm that they have no idea needs to be broken.

That's why so many still seem comfortable with Palin.

4 BigIslandDave Says: Even reich-wing columnists like Kathleen Parker are saying she’s out of her depth and should high-tail it back to Alaska.
----
Here's the link. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/

“If BS were currency, Palin could bail out Wall Street herself," Parker also writes. "If Palin were a man, we’d all be guffawing, just as we do every time Joe Biden tickles the back of his throat with his toes. But because she’s a woman — and the first ever on a Republican presidential ticket — we are reluctant to say what is painfully true."

This, my friends, after many weeks of careful deliberation, is the individual I decided could best lead the country in the event of my death.

John 72

Can some please tell me WTF she was trying to say?
It seems that she spoke for the entire interview and said absolutely nothing

15 Frybread Says: Can this bimbo be any more like Bush and Cheney? So she supports invading and killing the people of each and every country who are “bad guys” to protect the “good guys.” This is childish thinking and is why we are in such deep doodoo today.

I think she said she supports the Iraq war in the interview, which should give people pause to vote for her and McSame this November.
---------
She thinks we won. She said it in her impulsive 4 question press conference yesterday. She must believe her son is on a peace-keeping mission.

every time this woman opens her mouth i get this crystal clear mental picture of a freshly caught trout flopping on the floor of a boat. would someone please gut this fish and end this farce. voters?

Paulin ASSUMES that a threatening phrase ARE words coming from the "BAD GUYS".

Diplomacy to her is deciding that these are the bad guys just because a "threat" is posted to an ALLY. This is a Dangerous thought process.

One should always leave enough room for scrutiny EVEN to OUR ALLIES when the outcome WILL AFFECT us ALL.

Those WHO has NOT committed or has the capacity to do WRONG....throw the first stone.

The Palin thought process leave inadequate a significant prudent judgement. CHECK and VERIFY the ALLEGATION before accepting ANY SERIOUS ACCUSATIONS. JUST because our ALLY says one thing DOES NOT ALWAYS make it TRUE. This IS a SIGNIFICANT failure of JUDGEMENT similar to the "GUT-Feeling" that McCain seems to allude will be the WAY he will RUN and govern our NATION. This is a serious PROBLEM.

AMERICA MUST PAY ATTENTION. TOO MUCH IS AT STAKE!

OMG that woman is ignorant!
If McCain had half a brain he switch to someone else.
Palin is out of her league

So true. It is the End Times nonsense drilled into the heads of the minions by people like Pat Robertson, James Dobson and their ilk, in order to support this Theocracy they want to impose upon us all.

I always thought McCain was a joke of a candidate..... but, she takes the cake!
No wonder it took 6 years and 5 schools - she has no comprehension of anything. Even when she's talking.
If this ticket is elected, we are DOOMED!

Guys & Gals...good guys, bad guys.....geezus cripes!!!! Why don't we just create a new reality program, featuring the smartest of the smart grade 12 Poli-Sci students and give them her job.
America is in direct line with a collision with world-wide embarassment.
The laughing stock of the world. First you had the monkey...now welcome the monkey's uncle....and aunt.

pissed off patricia @ 93:

Take her simple vocabulary and McCain's sing-song way he speaks, add them together and you could put the entire world into a serious coma.

For eight years, I only listened to two State of the Union speeches because I could not stand Bush and his voice.

If they both were to be installed in the WH, I'd have to stop paying attention indefinitely. I can't stand either of them because they damage all we hold dear as American citizens. They also flaunt their lack of respect for the traditions of this country. They even subverted patriotism.

It would be sacrilege to hear both of these people speak in the name of this country.

Which side?

38 Karen Says: From Sam Harris’ excellent prose:

What is so unnerving about the candidacy of Sarah Palin is the degree to which she represents—and her supporters celebrate—the joyful marriage of confidence and ignorance. Watching her deny to Gibson that she had ever harbored the slightest doubt about her readiness to take command of the world’s only superpower, one got the feeling that Palin would gladly assume any responsibility on earth:

“Governor Palin, are you ready at this moment to perform surgery on this child’s brain?”

“Of course, Charlie. I have several boys of my own, and I’m an avid hunter.”

“But governor, this is neurosurgery, and you have no training as a surgeon of any kind.”

“That’s just the point, Charlie. The American people want change in how we make medical decisions in this country. And when faced with a challenge, you cannot blink.”

Joyful marriage of confidence and ignorance to be sure, but I’d even go further. It’s a marriage of certainty and ignorance.
---------
You simply must repeat this and often.

Well, folks. Jack Cafferty asked this question today. Is Palin qualified to be President?

That’s what they mean when they say “Put your life in the hands of God.”

No thinking.

Just act.

God will make certain you do the right thing.

It’s a CULT (in the current pejorative sense of the word).
-----------
This is what they mean when they say they don't blink, that they make gut decisions. It is all meant for the radical christian right. They understand exactly what is being said. God is their guide and they will do God's will.

There was a very interesting interview on Fresh Air yesterday with the Iranian translator at the U.N. where he said that the meaning of phrases like "Death to America" or "Death to Israel" are not to be taken literally and really have a much more benign meaning in Iran that roughly translates to "Down with America" etcetera - quite a different implication. Of course, Palin lacks the depth to transcend the nuance that might get lost in translation or even the desire to educate herself to the real intent.

I know that there are good guys, bad guys, and the ugly guys.Palin should be worried. There`s a lot more of us ugly guys in the world than what she thinks are good guys.

Geez, at least the "Axis of Evil" made them all sound like superheroes, er....supervillains. "Good guys" and "bad guys", is she 7?

"Meanwhile back at the Hall of Justice, the Axis of Evil was planning to take over the world - Led by Stuper McCain and Wonder Palin." LOL

Paul Belgala is most certainly outspoken. But the only thing I didn't like about him is his connection to the Clintons. I mostly consider him an opportunist.

But this time, I appreciate what he said because it was a very apt description about the POTUS.

81 Kathleen Says: I have to say that was Couric’s best interview ever. She kept it cool and on target. She even filled in some blanks for Palin without seeming to sympathetic for Palin’s own hubris for allowing herself to pretend she is qualified to hold such a position. although Bush has set the tone for that type of arrogance.
----------
Couric must have been appalled at how ill-prepared and ignorant this woman is. I would have been uncomfortable watching this woman's political career implode before my eyes. Just amazing. It certainly explains why McCain "pretend suspended" his campaign. Anything to keep America's focus off of this train wreck.

I wouldn't go that far, but there needs to be an explanation why this stupid woman is on the ticket opposed to someone else.

But then again, maybe not.

This year, the GOP's pick is a gift that keeps on giving in a world without Diebold machines.

What I still don’t understand about Couric’s interview methods is why she ripped into Valerie Plame during her interview Couric really attempted to blame Plame for her own outing.

You could tell the entire time that Couric was secretly thinking; “who did this bitch sleep with to end up on a Presidential ticket?”

Not only Couric was entertaining that question. I bet a lot folks in the U.S. were probably thinking the same thing.

There’s no other way, besides the religious angle that demonstrates her alleged assets to the McCain campaign.

My guess is Karl Rove. And, she did it without a bag over his head.
