"It's split": FOX News correspondent needs math classes
By SilentPatriot Tuesday Sep 30, 2008 8:15pm
Look at the number who raise their hand for McCain, and compare that to the number for Obama. Looks pretty even to me.

VP Debate: Pass or Falin
Yep, split. Split like that crack in your skull.
First?
i like the way the little old lady GRABS her partners arm and pulls it down when the guy asks who is voting for Walnuts
I almost peed myself, I was laughing so hard. Just listening to the old folks laughing at that moron put a smile on my face. Looks like the seniors in this Country aren't as rigid as I thought they were.
Well we know who wears the pants in that relationship.
That was probably funnier than the usual Faux Fantasyland bullshit.
I guess it is part of that "New Math" that FAUX uses to justify their "Fair and Balanced" hogwash.
"The dead have risen and they're voting Republican!" -- Bart Simpson
Did you here the laughter when he said it's "split ... maybe a little more for Obama"? This is why trial lawyers never ask witnesses questions unless they already know what the answer will be. I'm surprised Brian didn't say, "Objection, your honor!" and thrust his hand over the camera lens.
err .. "It's split" = "It's not unanimous" ???
For the first time (I think) Obama leads McCain in the Battleground States of Florida, Ohio, and Nevada. Those three states are still considered toss-ups because the lead is within the margin of error, but last week all three states just barely favored McCain.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/maps/obama_vs_mccain/#data
Note the lady in the background over his shoulder at the :12 second mark who bats down her husband's McCain vote and then raises both her arms when asked to vote for Obama, as did her husband, who obviously rethought his vote.
The derisive laughter is a nice touch.

James Carville once described Pennsylvania as "Philadelphia in the east, Pittsburgh in the west and Arkansas in between." If Obama has large margins of victory in Philadelphia County and Allegheny County he will be able to offset any margins McCain might have in the other counties in the state. I recently traveled to the Scranton area. Believe me, it is not McCain Country.
I especially enjoyed the horse-laugh at the expense of the FOX fool, audible after his silly remark about the tally.
ontheleft@6, Don't forget who are the Republican Commitee members in Springfield. Mr. Burns, Krusty, Dracula, The Texan Guy, Sideshow Bob, and the Devil himself.
Didn't you notice the heavy rose tint in the correspondents glasses. It filters out Obama supporters.
Another major dumbass on FOX.
These tv jerks don't want to give up their "horse race" narrative even youtube clips like this prove them wrong.
He was probably lectured "ALWAYS use Obama's name first, then McCain! And dont forget to say McCain as soon as the first hand goes up!"
They need to come back with one of those commercials cooking an egg in the pan and saying "This is your brain on FOX"
What a numb nut.
And notice that the reporter raises his own hand for McCain. Honest but I'm not sure I would include myself in the poll as a reporter.
Cappy @ 10:
Alabama
You have just witnessed Karl Rove's math in action.
I haven't seen anything this funny since Fox put a wimpy looking guy in glasses with a big "FOX NEWS" microphone in the middle of an anarchist march at the Republican convention.
Fox reports, you decide.
Fair and Balanced.
Fox says so, it must be true.
Who are you going to believe, the Fox reporter, or your own lying eyes?
What a complete dumb ass. He looks like the PC guy in the PC/Mac commercials. I thought it was fake at first, but I guess you can't make this sort of thing up. One of the funniest things I've seen in a LONG time.
He doesn't need math class, he needs an ophthalmologist.or at least an optometrist
All that's left is figure out how the GOP means to steal the election.
ronhohn @ 24:
Actually he needs an orthodontist to wire his mouth shut.
Ron @ 26:
Then he'll mumble, talk through his teeth and pump his arms
Run that through a GOP-owned computer voting system, and McCain wins easily.
nin-mofo@19
I stand corrected. The quote was Alabama. I didn't mean to impune the good people of Arkansas. In fact, Alabama makes the quote even better.
I have seen this video multiple times, and it never gets old. This is an instant classic that should immediately go as viral as possible.
The elderly lady slapping down her partner's arm is awesome...and it's really funny to realize that the only person who really raised his hand to say he was voting for McCain was the Faux Noise reporter. Pwned!!!
kimmel pointed out the old couple in the back. Then the old dude raised his hand for McCain, his wife smacked his hand down. Very funny.
The only thing that split was this guy's credibility.
Hi-Larious. Probably the last time Fox will take an informal, unrigged poll.
(He's been reassigned to the Afghanistan bureau.)
That was virtually a rebellion. Scranton isn't exactly San Francisco. And that was a diner full of bluehairs, not a Penn State classroom.
Obama's going to win this in a landslide.
GOPnot4me @ 25:
They already did.

ronhohn @ 24:
"He doesn’t need math class, he needs an ophthalmologist.or at least an optometrist"
"Actually he needs an orthodontist to wire his mouth shut."
Actually he REALLY needs a gastroenterologist to pull his head out of his ass.
Another example of FOX making the news in their delusional view.
I loved the sound of laughter in the room after the comment.
So tell me my compatriots, what is going on over there this fine morning?
Has the great American slumber been awaken yet by a hot-foot?
Has anyone gotten off the couch yet? This little clip makes me think "The Times - they are a-changin'" as Dillon once sang.
LOL! ... I just noticed the Tag on the screen ... "We watch FOX so you don't have to" ... Love it.
Shameless!
Feckless!
Truthless!
☺☻Bangkok Bob☻☺ @ 37:
The Senate just passed the bailout bill 74-25.
Margaret @ 34:
A REAGANESQUE landslide.
Ron @ 26:
He needs a surgical proctologist to get his head out of his ass.
OT, but here's more proof that the surge didn't "work": http://newsroom.ucla.edu/portal/ucla/ucla-study-of-satellite-imagery-628...
y'know, i really hate fox,
but i'm glad they can still make me laugh.
Next week, he's doing a Special Report on how Bush/Cheney balanced the budget.

Cappy @ 29:
Alabama's State Motto is "Hey, at least we ain't Mis'ippi".
Fox IS the margin of error.
The Faux reporter doesn't need math classes. He needs a new set of EYES and a BRAIN so he can think for himself instead of spouting the propaganda with which his bosses have brainwashed him.
And thanks to NewsHounds. I just wouldn't have the strength to watch Faux without destroying the television.
Lolololol! That was priceless! I love the way the people cracked up when the reporter said,"...maybe a little heavier to Obama".
Um, well, it is technically "split," as opposed to "unanimous."
He didn't say it was split evenly. He said it was split, with more hands seeming to go toward Obama.
Which is what it was.
Sometimes I wonder why you guys post some of this stuff.
Lying is so easy for them, that even with the proof right on camera with them they still lie. I have long suspected the polls are a lie, and this doesn't make my suspicions any less. But, will they (whoever is really running things, it's obvious Bush, McSane and Caribou Barbie aren't in charge) let a landslide happen? I'm scared. Bush has even recalled a NG unit home to stay based in the US, to help with quelling national issues. Ever heard of the Constitution?
How pathetic that FoxNews chooses a mainly empty diner in which to conduct their little poll. Just think how much more embarrassing it would have been for them if the place had been packed with people.
FoxNews and the idiots who work for them are always good for a laugh. T
BobbyFlav @ 50:
how many hands did you see go up for mccain?
why is it you wingnuts insist on being so fucking obtuse?
is it genetic?
when your mother used to serve you hamburger, did she call it steak?
when your father used to beat you with a belt, did he call it love?
you all fucking make me sick...and your leaders make me sick
why dont you go watch mccain lie his way through another inteview with his "base"
this is northeastern pa...the area that obama alledgedly slandered with his guns and god comments
the room was filled with white people all over the age of 40
mccain has nothing....nothing
That fuzzy math.
Even the people in the diner are laughing at him.
What a doofus, if it wasn't Fox News, it would be hilarious otherwise it is kind of sad, no wonder the wingnuts think the way they do. Watching Fox News can't be good for one's mental health. This is almost as much fun as watching Johnny McSame on the Des Moines Register videos today, that is the greatest. I hope Obama will work a little harder during the next debate to see if he can get John's head to spin around.
bDavid @ 3:
... and then he raises it again when the FOX Snooze guy asks who's voting for Obama...
He was the ONLY guy that raised his hand for McShame... and he's obviously voting twice.
Cappy @10 said:
"James Carville once described Pennsylvania as “Philadelphia in the east, Pittsburgh in the west and Arkansas (corrected to Alabama, later) in between.” If Obama has large margins of victory in Philadelphia County and Allegheny County he will be able to offset any margins McCain might have in the other counties in the state. Scranton is Biden-land - that reporter was nuts to ask up there.
Yeah, what Carville said was true most of the past >> but, we were smart enough to get rid of Ricky man-on-dog Santorum, too!!
lolol.....well, 1 to a zillion is a split also....like the split in my gut watching this dodo head. I wonder if the few McDummy hands were fox employees? Hey Rupert Murdock, how thoes fox ratings doing?......opps.....
BobbyFlav @ 50:
The ONLY guy (besides the FOX Dipsquat) that raised his hand for McSame (and his wife pulled it down)... also raised his hand for Obama... I guess he knows where the goodies reside.
BobbyFlav @ 50:
Did you hear everyone laughing at him at the end? Well, we're laughing at you, too.
Well, everybody knows that one conservative is worth like 20 liberals.
sorry folks, I'm just thinking out loud...what would their rational be for one vote vs 15 votes is split down the middle?
Diebold will clarify any discrepancies.
StirFry @ 62:
Fox Headline on recent poll…
“McCain finishes a close second. Obama finishes next to last…”
"Who here thinks it's all right to marry your sister?"
One hand goes up. (Six fingers, true, but one hand.)
"Who doesn't?"
Forest of hands goes up. (One with three fingers - Bob from the sawmill.)
"Opinion on incest is divided here."
Anais @ 48:
ITA. This is "Fair and Balanced" counting? Well, okay, maybe once you factor in election fraud, this hand-vote amounts to a split rather than a landslide, but not in the real world.
(And yeah -- NewsHounds, we salute your iron stomachs...)
Really, the 'reporter' putting his own hand up for McCain (guess he's no longer a reporter, huh?) in the vain hope that someone else will is almost as funny as the derisive laughter afterwards.
BobbyFlav @ 50: It's not east to see your kind of 'fair and balanced' is being laughed at, is it? Deal with it, whiner.
Well, technically 1 vs. 99 is a "split", he did say it was more in Obama's favor :)
P.D. @ 4:
Listen you your whippersnapper, old people know a lot more about being young than young people know about being old ;>)
Maybe it's the crowd I run with but the seniors I know have always been the most anti-Bush. Particularly the WW2 vets who early on knew what a chicken hawk he was. The older they are the more they can't stand him.
And they vote.
It's things like this that fill me with a certain cautious optimism for the outcome of this election...
Mentis Fugit @ 66, LOL!
Anyone needs more proof that right wingers create their own reality?
Did someone yell "bullshit" just before everyone started laughing at fox?
Cappy @ 29:
Indeed! I wasn't out to correct you, just out to imply what you posted in the quote!
Have to love the fact that the reporter himself raised his hand in support of McCain!
Nothing like fair and balanced journalism!
Anyway, seemed like 90% were for Obama in that room, so nice attempt to say something different than what we all actually saw on live TV!
Flop News should be sued for imitating a news station. They've been pretty much pulling stuff out of their asses the last fifteen years.
this is my favorite video of the week, it even beats out Palin's video comedy trail
Pathetic, Fox, just pathetic.
[grins with great satisfaction and prepares to send this tiny clip to everyone he knows]
Fux News...Unfair and Imbalanced!
I think he was counting the crickets chirping in the background when he counted hands for McCain.
dumbass.
.
Ha!
Just watch that man's wife beat him for even attempting to be a McVoter.
.
.
N O T I C E:
The Person asking the question "RAISED" his hand, instructively, when he asked about "McCain..." and then lowered his hand when he asked "Obama...". So he doesn't count because he was instructing and "LEADING" the interview... which of course is what he would have been doing had he NOT been "DEMONSTRATING" by raising and lowering his hands for certain people... NO?
Q U E S T I O N:
If the person giving the interview was demonstrating and NOT showing partisan views...
... Why didn't he raise his hand for BOTH Senators?
.
.
Mommy,
What's a McVoter?
.
James in Colorado @ 69:
Republican math in the era of No Crony Left Behind...
1 McCain vote vs 99 Obama votes= a split.
It's like the old part of the Constitution when blacks were counted as 3/5s of a person.
The Repubs are counting Dems as 3/5s of a voter.
was this taken out of context somehow? I definitely don't put it past them but wheres the full clip?
I swear to GOD I am CONVINCED fox reporters and mcsame spokes people, especially that blonde, are all smoking CRACK!
I don't know if you could make it out at the end of the clip (turn it up and see what you hear), but when the Faux pollster said it was "split" a man in the background seems to sarcastically say, "Split? Ha!"...?
If you don't count the idiot from Fox, it was
McCain - 0
Obama - 8
Abstaining - 1
Nice polling, moron
ronhohn @ 24:
He doesn't need glasses, at this point what he needs is a dog (and a cane)...
Math? How about simple arithmetic? How about knowing how to count?
what i want to know is if he was joking about the "split" thing (which could also be why they laughed), or if it was taken out of context? Does anyone have the full clip to this thing?
You know, when i think about it, i just find it hard to believe. But i guess that's standard.
I think you can hear an incredulous "Split!" from the back of the room right before the laughing starts.
Nyc Labrets @ 41:
A possible electoral landslide but probably not a popular vote landslide. However, Obama winning by 7% or 8% will make me perfectly happy.
BTW, if the newest polls putting Virginia and Florida in Obama's camp are correct, it's all over. McSkinCancer is DOA.
Was that The Onion TV?
Ha... maybe this guy works for Diebold on the side.
And the only guy who raised his hand for McCain, also raised it for Obama!
It's "split"? My sides are split from laughing so hard.
I think Hemmer was the only one who had his hand raised and then there was the old man who got a smack down from his wife. Everyone else raised for Obama. Yeah, that's pretty even. Ugh.
Fair and Balanced.
ATTN: DAILY SHOW...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In Fox world, that was clearly a landslide for McStain. C'mon, open your eyes, you damn liberal!
Yeah, it's split...much the same way Britney Spears was voted "Dumbest Person In America" on FAUX with 30+% while George Putz had 40%.
wow a fat shit reporter on fox lies again..what a surprise
LOL! That's just great! Insane FOX traitors are so freaken' amusing.
Sure it's split...everyone to zero...the problem is the viewers believe their lying eyes.
"It's Split"
Wow, FOX truly has zero respect for their viewers. They insult their intelligence at every turn. Yet the viewers always come back for more :-(
That lady in the back made my day!
