Forgetting which way history is going, and attempting to move in backwards, Alabama would like to make believe that same-sex marriage isn’t happening in America.
The Alabama House of Representatives Wednesday approved a resolution calling for a convention to put a same-sex marriage ban in the U.S. Constitution.
Passage of the resolution infuriated Rep. Patricia Todd, D-Birmingham, the Legislature’s only openly gay member, who said that House Speaker Mike Hubbard, R-Auburn, had told her the resolution would not come up for a vote.

The president of the anti-LGBT Family Research Council (FRC) is vowing to continue to fight against equal rights for gay and lesbian couples after the <A href="http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/06/26/watch-live-supreme-court-hands-down-rulings-on-same-sex-marriage/">U.S. Supreme Court struck down</a> the federal government's ban on marriage equality and allowed same sex marriages to resume in California.
To no one's surprise, these right-wing hate mongers like the Family Research Council's Tony Perkins aren't taking it very well now that the Supreme Court has ruled against them in the DOMA and Prop 8 cases. Read more...
