Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace actually asked former Second Lady Lynne Cheney if she really expected everyone to believe that Vanity Fair published the recent article by Monica Lewinsky in order to help the Clintons, and rather than back down, Cheney doubled-down on her conspiracy theory and claimed what she was really trying to do was pay the Clintons a compliment.

WALLACE: Mrs. Cheney, you said recently that you thought that the Clintons must be pleased that Vanity Fair magazine ran an article written by Monica Lewinsky. Why on earth do you think they'd want to see Lewinsky back in the public eye and do you think that the Lewinsky scandal is a legitimate issue for Hillary Clinton in 2016?

CHENEY: Well I was really paying the Clintons a large compliment. I was saying how clever they are politically. And that it seemed to me if you had something that might come up during the campaign that would be damaging, it was very smart to get it out of the way early. So, that’s my case Chris and I’m staying with it.

Yeah, I'm sure the fake Benghazi outrage she was peddling was just meant to be a compliment as well.
