Ted Cruz can never run for President. If you thought the Reverend Wright flap was nasty, what Rafael Cruz spews all over the nation is worse by a magnitude of zillions.

Cruz, who regularly preaches Christian Nationalist pseudo-history, said that Obama has a “worldview based upon a totalitarian view of government being all powerful,” and is bent on “destroying the exceptionalism of America” by ratifying the Law of the Seas Treaty.

After host Dave Garrison asked if “President Obama wants to take our guns as part of this worldview,” Cruz responded: “Well, of course, you have got to realize that is all about control. You look at history, Stalin took out the guns, then killed twenty million people; Mao took out the guns, then killed fifty million people. Every society where government has taken the guns away from the population, then they’ve used them against the population.”

Actually, the one who has the totalitarian view is Cruz, who thinks the church should supplant the government in order for a theocracy to be all-powerful.

Also, the whole objection to the Law of the Sea Treaty is a John Birch paranoid fantasy. They grab at things like this and Agenda 21 to convince willfully ignorant people they're about to be pawns of government whims. Because Stalin. And the black guy.

I'd laugh, except this is the guy who raised Mr. Nixon in cowboy boots, and he is aching to live in the White House.
