It's only during the moments when we hear from Democrats during this shamn of a Benghazi Select Committee Hearing (# way-too-many) that we get a reprieve from a clearly partisan witch hunt conducted by the members of a faltering political 'party.' One of those welcome moments was provided by California Congressman, Representative Adam Schiff, who was elected to the House in 2000.

Schiff begins his time allotted by mentioning the investigations that have already been conducted, where there has been not one shred of proof of wrongdoing by anyone in the State Department. He said that the implication of this hearing is that the American people don't know anything new from the findings here. He listed and showed the volume of previous reports, those being:

  • The ARB Report
  • The Report from the Armed Services Committee led by GOP Buck McKeon (debunking stand down order allegation)
  • The Report from the Committee on Government Reform
  • The Report from the Senate Homeland Security Committee
  • The Report from the House Foreign Affairs Committee
  • The GOP's own conferences report
  • We have the report from the Intelligence Committee, on which I serve.

He explains that the documents would stack up through the ceiling if he included all the exhibits and classified information with them. Then he holds up the report from the Benghazi Committee.

This is the report from our committee. This is what $4.7 million of taxpayers' money buys you, this is what seventeen months of investigation have shown.

He says that this says nothing about the substance of what they've learned. When a lawyer expresses the success by the metrics of the sheer volume of the interviews conducted, it is hardly a sign of a winning case. Schiff reminds the Committee that

after seventeen months, we have nothing new to tell the families, the American people or nothing that alters the core conclusions of the eight investigations that have already taken place.

He continues on with his statement that this is a fact-centric investigation. After the video shown above, Schiff goes over a long list of the facts of this trial, all of which vindicate Secretary Clinton and make the GOP Committee members look like the colossal asses that they are. The leaderless GOP's biggest nightmare is this testimony by Rep. Adam Schiff, that shows how idiotic these hearings are.
