As the platform battles march on this weekend, it appears that movement toward Democratic Party unity is afoot. In an interview Bernie Sanders gave Al Hunt on the Charlie Rose show, he was asked to respond to his supporters who are considering a third-party vote over Clinton.

“We have got to do everything that we can to defeat Donald Trump and elect Hillary Clinton,” Sanders answered. He also said he did not think the country would survive four years of Donald Trump.

Rumors are swirling that Clinton and Sanders will make a joint appearance in New Hampshire on Tuesday. As of this writing, Clinton is confirmed to be in New Hampshire, but the Sanders campaign has not sent out any press releases to that effect, so this may be more rumor than fact.

However, it seems clear from his own words that Bernie Sanders will indeed be endorsing her and encouraging his supporters to work toward defeating Donald Trump.
