Clinton Campaign Chair Robby Mook tells CNN's Jake Tapper that the DNC email hack and the timing of their release may be an attempt by the Russians to help get Donald Trump elected.

Clinton Campaign Chair Robby Mook appeared on CNN this morning and one of the hot topics was the DNC email hack, released by Wiki Leaks over the weekend.

Mook told Jake Tapper that the timing of the release may be an attempt by the Russians to help Donald Trump get elected. Yes, that's right. Putin maybe, probably, definitely is trying to impact an American presidential election.

Here's what Mook said:

“Experts are telling us Russian state actors broke into the DNC, stole these emails, and other experts are now saying the Russians are releasing these emails for the purpose of actually helping Donald Trump. I don't think it is coincidental that these emails were released on the eve of our convention.”

When asked what evidence they have, Mook talked about various news articles that have come out recently that show strong ties to schemes by the Russian government to help Trump win in exchange for favors down the road.

Trump does love and admire dictators, so this isn't completely implausible.

Is Trump a Manchurian candidate being put into place by Putin?
