From the looks on the White House staffers' faces to Melania's meeting with Michelle, Colbert adds his perfect touch to the painful event.
November 11, 2016

Stephen Colbert's monologue on The Late Show broke down the events at the White House on Thursday, finding much-needed comic relief. He brilliantly accentuated the disparity between the two administrations: The Obama Administration, has conducted themselves with class and competence which makes the incoming Alt-Right President Elect and his band of merry morons seem even more deplorable.

The disparity between the two men's backgrounds is truly astounding, diametrically opposed from each other. Because a community organizer has been so demonized, the GOP has gone off the deep end to ensure that no one who's dealt with commoners will be EVER be POTUS, or so it seems. Hard work and overcoming obstacles is now a negative? Yep.

Donald Trump is so privileged, that the first job that he ever had to apply for was President of the United States.

He praised President Obama's incredibly gracious accommodation of a man who questioned his legitimacy as an American, among other insults. He also cleverly assessed the meeting between Michelle Obama and Donald's third wife.

Melania was there for a private meeting with Michelle Obama, to ensure the peaceful transition of speeches.

Who could forget the Huff Po photo of the W.H. Staff?

My heart goes out to everyone at the White House. I can't imagine how hard that is-- and I don't have to because there's this picture of the White House Staff as Obama congratulated Trump yesterday. A picture is worth a thousand words, none of which I'm allowed to say on CBS.

He mentioned how President Obama replaced the bust of Winston Churchill with one of Martin Luther King Jr. That may change.

When Trump comes in, he'll replace it with a picture of the Burger King.

Keep it up Stephen. We need you right now.
