Yep, @realDonaldTrump can lie all they want about Ford Motor Company (stock symbol F, not ironic at all) and Ford just takes it.

Or as James Poniewozik put it, "New reality for the press: the President-elect’s Twitter account is a competing media outlet spreading fake news."

And Carol Costello literally runs out of words learning that Ford did not contradict Trump's lie, that he had somehow engineered the "saving" of jobs in Ford's Kentucky auto plant. A plant that Ford had no intention of closing or moving to Mexico.

Donald Trump is doing what he does best: treating the presidency like a scripted reality show. It doesn't matter if it's true as long as it looks good on the screen and creates just the right amount of heroism for his brand.

Costello segues into the story of Fake News on Facebook so she can say the word "Lies" on the air. Apparently like Ford Motor Company, CNN isn't allowing themselves to call the next leader of the free world a compulsive liar, even when it's about them.
