US Representative Toxic Tom Tiffany (Q-Wisconsin) went on Fox Business to play the useful tool for them in a smear job of DA Alvin Bragg and New York City. Tiffany's job was to paint NYC as being a scary, unsafe hellhole where no one - absolutely no one - wants to go.

Think about what a great hospitality hub New York has always been. I hear from people regularly out here in Wisconsin, they're like, I don't know if I want to go to New York City right now because it's not safe. So Alvin Bragg can talk about how New York City is safe, but that's clearly not the message the American people, nor the people from New York City, are hearing.

Tiffany must be feeling really embarrassed right now. I mean, here he was given a short, simple script to repeat back to the camera and he flubbed it.

I guarantee you that the people in Wisconsin are not coming up to him to express their fear of traveling to NYC. Especially not the people in his district. They're talking about the weather, about how the farm looks this year, or the two cops that were killed during a traffic stop in his district.

Then again, it would have been more effective if they had tried to use something that wasn't so easily fact checked, such as how New York City is much safer than Milwaukee, the largest city in Wisconsin.

But then again, Fox probably figured that they could get away with it since their viewers have never been considered to be the most critical thinkers in the world. Also, Fox might not have gotten the memo yet that the "soft on crime" smears have lost their effectiveness. The recent Wisconsin Supreme Court election should have told them that much.
