On Sunday, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted an article about Garth Brooks getting booed off the stage. The only problem is that the story is from a satirical site, and the Texas city of Hambriston mentioned in the post does not exist.
America's Last Line Of Defense, run by Christopher Blair, has fooled people before even though the publisher, a friend of mine, explains that "Dunning-Kruger-Times.com is a subsidiary of the "America's Last Line of Defense" network of parody, satire, and tomfoolery, or as Snopes called it before they lost their war on satire: Junk News."
Chris calls his conservative readers "taters" and describes them as "fragile, frightened, mostly older Caucasian Americans."
Gov. Abbott is now a tater. Tater Abbott deleted his tweet that read, "Go woke. Go broke. Good job Texas," and linked to the junk news post.

Many conservatives are currently upset with Brooks after the country music star said that everyone was welcome at his new bar, the Friends In Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk, in Nashville, Tennessee. Brooks was responding to the anti-trans campaign that first started against Bud Light when the beer brand sent some cans to trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Brooks said he'd serve all kinds of beer at his bar, a clear nod to the controversy.
