Bill O'Reilly gnashes teeth, laments Al Franken's ascension: 'This country is in deep trouble'

Al Franken doesn't have to crack another joke for the rest of his life, and he'll still be providing us with a bottomless parade of high comedy -- inadvertently, as it were, in the form of right-wing pundits pitching themselves into a downright frenzy over his election to the Senate.
Especially Bill O'Reilly.
He was on vacation last week when the news came down, so last night he had the chance to finally weigh in, and he did:
O'Reilly: Check one: In a sad day for America, Al Franken is now a U.S. senator. The Minnesota Supreme Court ruled he won the election by about 300 votes. Franken is a blatantly dishonest individual, a far-left zealot who is not qualified to hold any office, a man who trafficked in hate on his failed Air America radio program. If you want proof, check out Page 96 in my book Culture Warrior. With people like Franken on the Hill, this country is in deep trouble.
Stephen Colbert needn't parodize this one. It's already self-parody.

Colbert did a skit about Al winning. Colbert, in character, made a comment about how rude Al would probably be. He showed Al speaking and thanking Coleman for the gracious call he made to him. Then it went back to Colbert who yelled, "What a fucking asshole he is" The audience and I loved it.
Love to see Bill O'Reilly try and run for the Senate... not sure he would get many votes. It really says something that Al can get elected.

Leaving aside the amount of hate Bill has trafficked, I was under the impression that Bill's radio show is the one that doesn't exist anymore. And Franken quit Air America so he could run for senate - meanwhile Air America is still going along, despite their management issues in the beginning.
I'm convinced Bill, thanks. I mean how would anyone believe Franken's word over yours. You've been so honest to all of us over the years. And all the help you gave us with your guest. If it wasn't for you yelling SHUT UP or CUT HIS MIC, we may have actually had to listen to the words of these socialist and could have been brainwashed. I've always loved that clip, especially when I first saw it on cspan. But they left out the best part where O'Reilly says to Al "That's all you got" to which Franken tauntingly responded "No, that's not all I got; I got a lot more"- priceless. O'Reilly's just a loudmouthed prick. Take him off his set where he can rant and rave, then cut the guest's mic when they try to respond, and he's just a sorry assed punk. Personally, I think the moderator should have cut off O'Reilly the minute he referred to Franken as "This idiot". Nobody else was hurling insults. In any event, O'Reilly's had an almost psychotic obsession with Franken ever since (He even accused Franken of being behind the whole sexual harassment suit he was facing). Great to see O'Reilly unable to exert the control he's used to on his own show. His body language is so tight, with that busy right hand - you can almost hear O'Reilly's thoughts: "I wanna hit him...I wanna punch him in the head..." He can dish it out, but he sure can't take it.

O'Reilly was right in in his explanation of Franken's vile and uncalled for attacks on that videotape. Above, O'Reilly has been #1 on cable news for 8 years now. In addition, his books have been top sellers, several reaching #1 in sales.
O'Reilly does not use the term "liberal" and "conservative," and rightly so.
Instead, he used the terms "secular-progressive" and "traditionalist," respectively. These are quite apt terms in that they clearly point out that the former only want "progress" and "change" (vomit), while the latter believe in American values and want change that will be good for the country, not change that advances the collectivization of our society and the destruction of America as an independent nation.
So what if O'Reilly has a #1 cable show and sells #1 books? Lots of trash on TV and in the bookstores are popular. It doesn't mean they are better, more truthful or are of quality content.
The fact is that O'Reilly uses his stupid invented labels to manipulate his sheeple into believing that this segment of the population is good and that segment is evil. His game plan is to pit segments of the population against each other while he sits back at gets rich off all the divisiness. He uses the S-P label to sell books and try and make himself relevant....not because he has any interest in discussing the issues we're facing honestly.
You and O'Reilly are wrong as "progressives" absolutely believe in American TRADITIONS especially that of values, equality, freedom, etc. To claim that only "traditionalists" believe in American traditions and values is a lot of right-wing spin. O'Reilly has already outed himself as wanting America to stay white, Christian, male-power based and he has created the phony term "traditionalist" as a foundation for his discriminatory way of thinking. The S-Ps are against American traditions. There are many, many examples I can iterate, but since we are discussing O'Reilly, I will refer to one simple one that he was able to influence: Christmas.
The S-Ps wanted to end Christmas greetings and celebrations. These anti-Americans were even able to convince stores to not have lights that said, "Merry Christman," not to have Santas; they convinced card companies to have more "Season's Greetings" cards; and they were even able to get federal employees to say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas."
O'Reilly pressed and pressed. He encouraged people to contact legislators and boycott such stores and products.
It worked.
This is one simple example of the culture war that is going on with the traditionalists and the S-Ps. We will eventually win, of course. It still boggles my mind why you people hate American values so much, however.....
