This weekend the righties got all worked up about the supposed "brutality" of union thugs in St. Louis who they say beat up a black conservative tea partier named Kenneth Gladney who came out to protest the Obama health-care plan on Thursday. They even had a big protest the next day, along with a press conference featuring Gladney in a wheelchair.

But take a look at the video of the supposed assault. It enters the scene a bit late -- an SEIU member is already on the ground and appears to be injured, but we can't tell what the cause was. As he's laying there, other SEIU members come to his protection, and one of them pulls down Gladney; both men fall to the pavement. Both quickly get back up. There appears to be little to it. [A section of the video showing the supposed assault is in slow motion.]

Indeed, it's readily apparent that Gladney seems completely unhurt. He wanders out to the crowd, chats with the cameraman, flags down a cop, and saunters back to where police decide to handcuff the man who knocked him down. As you can hear, the man protests that he was just keeping Gladney away from his fallen friend.

The next day, Gladney is at the press conference in a wheelchair. He claims to be too medicated to speak, so his lawyers and fellow tea partiers do it for him.

Does this seem real to you? Sure looks fake to me.

Right-wingers love to bring up cases of fake hate crimes and overblown racial-profiling claims as proof that these phenomena don't really exist to the extent that their victims claim. (See Ann Coulter for the most recent example, but Michelle Malkin has made a minor cottage industry out of this specious narrative.) But they sure do love it when a minority conservative can make a reverse-the-charges accusation (usually involving race) against liberals -- no matter how dubious the claims.

We can see, moreover, that the right-wing teabaggers intend to create as much physical provocation as possible and then claim victimhood when something erupts -- even when there's nothing. (See yesterday's history lesson for more on this.)

Even worse, this kind of nonsense creates permission for right-wingers to then indulge in the "defensive" violence we've read them fantasizing about on right-wing gun forums. You know, that "Second Amendment" threat we've been hearing.

At the end of the video, I've added a snip from a friend of Gladney's, who remarks: "I wish I'd been there with you, bro, it'd have turned out a lot different, I promise you."

That's what worries the rest of us.

to scratch a "B" on his cheek.

LOL Exactly!

of course.

He didn't have a mirror

Kenneth Gladney also lost his job and doesn't have health insurance. They were taking up a collection for him. Can't recall where I read it but it was from a reputable source.

Yeah, Gladney apparently did lose his job and health insurance recently...

http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/news/stories...

Socialism!

Cut him a nice check for his latest acting gig. What's the going rate for selling your soul these days?

Rush will now project his racism onto Progressives and SEIU members. I am certain he will start his program with this today.

Limpballs already started that program....on Friday, he gave the address of the SEIU headquarters here in St. Louis, and a couple of hundred protestors showed up.....

More racist projections will come out today from Limpballs.

I think this is the guy I saw on fox this morning. I came in half way through the interview but if it was him along with his lawyer, the lawyer considers this a hate crime and feels it should be prosecuted as such. Sounds like a total diversion to me, and of course a play for sympathy.

Now if a bagger or birther or deather smacks someone they can point back to this as where it all began. Clever little weasels.

..

I thought the wingers are against hate crimes legislation. Unless it's against one their own of course.

Republicans don't believe in the existence of hate crimes until now. This one man gets them on the bandwagon.
Of course they never saw misogyny until Miss Wasilla was attacked.
Better late than never.

Mr Gladney is just another --- to them, only he's a useful one, as opposed to a guy who has the balls to run for President. The shiny will wear off the guy, and if it doesn't, he, Joe the Plumber and Palin can revive the 3 Stooges' act.

They've got no problem with maintaining the misogyny against non Thug women. Palin is an anomaly, just like Gladney.

It's not a case of 'late;' it's still a case of 'never.'

now they have a black "Kenneth the plumber" and he's showing his crack.

…black conservative tea partier named Kenneth Gladney…

I don't know the facts of Kenneth Gladney, but I would like to.

For instance, what did he receive from the Aristocrats.

The Aristocrats will stop at nothing, working under the cover of black is just another page out of their manual.

Gladney did not address Saturday's crowd of about 200 people. His attorney, David Brown, however, read a prepared statement Gladney wrote. "A few nights ago there was an assault on my liberty, and on yours, too." Brown read. "This should never happen in this country."

Supporters cheered. Brown finished by telling the crowd that Gladney is accepting donations toward his medical expenses. Gladney told reporters he was recently laid off and has no health insurance.

The comments section on he first link is the black hole of stupid. No intelligence can escape from it at all.

Victim of teh stooooopid.

Victim.

This is bullshit!

Union boy should have done what I did, walk the fuck out of there.
There is no excuse for the Union guys behavior. None! Zero!
The joint was swarming with cops, too.

He was weak and damaged our cause.

I was seeing red too, I had three of them on me and they were goading me like we were in gym class in 1978. Did I take the bait? NO!
I walked out and didn't look back, got in my car and shook the whole way home. Not from fear but anger!!

If you weren't there, you don't know what the fuck you are talking about. Those union guys were NEVER in any danger whatsoever. None. Zero.

GOD KNOWS I LOVE OUR UNION PEOPLE!!!!!
But that guy fucked up, hard!

We are the victims, people with the brains and balls to step away!

I can't post a link to my blog, but if you click on my user name you can read a first hand account of what happened to me. The post is titled "Chaos in Mehlville".

... did someone actually shove Gladney, or was that a manufactured fall?

Can we see the results of the doctor's examination? And what the frack kind of injuries did this guy have to be on enough drugs to be incoherent?

I'm automatically suspicious when the video begins AFTER the confrontation.

According to Gladney's lawyer who was interviewed on KTRS 550 am before I was, he was scuffed up a little. Bottom line is the cops saw what happened and arrested the white guys. St. Louis County Cops arresting a white guy over a black guy is UNHEARD of. So the Union guys must have been clearly in the wrong, and the cops saw it.

http://www.ktrs.com/index.php?option=com_cont...

Click the audio stream titled David Brown to hear Gladney's lawyer.

... you were interviewed the day of, weren't you?

Gladney had a lawyer with him that immediately started schmoozing with the media after the 'incident'?

And 'scuffed up a little' = wheelchair and enough pain meds to be incoherent?

"... you were interviewed the day of, weren't you?"

I was interviewed before and the day after. The lawyer was interviewed the day after.

He must have gone to Limbaugh's doctor for some oxycontin.

Excuse me, but a little aspirin/Tylenol and some ice should have sufficed. And truth be told, there's next to NO doctor in an E.R. who will order anything stronger than Tylenol with a touch of codeine for a "scuffed up" complaint and no "visible" signs of injury.

I'd love to know the guys actual diagnosis and what quack ordered enough mind-altering medication to make him, "too medicated to speak".

I take it back. Maybe he went to Michael Jackson's doctor. He's good at "over-medicating".

I used to live about a stone's throw from the middle school where that happened, and I'll have to admit, racism is horrible in South St. Louis. At least it was twenty or so years ago when I lived there and i don't think it's changed a whole since. But the cops from looks like happened on that video aren't going to go into a crowd like that and just assume the black guy is at fault and arrest him over some white guys, either. Looks like they handled it pretty well. But I agree with you wholeheartedly, if you weren't there you don't know what the hell happened. And the SEIU guys did screw up. Having them there in the first place was just asking for trouble in a crowd situation like that.

?

cameraman: "What happened?"
Gladney: "That guy attacked me."
cameraman: "Which one?"
Gladney: "The black guy there."

Why did they arrest a white man?

I wasn't there, Slacker. I don't do racial profiling or try to make assumptions about what cops did before knowing all the facts. Sorry, can't help you. Most of you can do all that on your own, anyway.

1. My response wasn't to your post, it was to jhunter99844.

2. It's just a question. There are no alterior motives behind it. I want to know why the discrepency in Gladney's initial statement and the police action. I made no claim about Gladney changing his story or the police disregarding Gladney's story.

3. Ligthen up, Francis.

Sorry, Slacker George. Yours was right below mine and I thought it was a reply to mine.

Durn it.

Anyone else unable to listen to the link?

I can see your point that the cops did arrest the guy, meaning they had reason to believe he did something wrong. But what's with the cheap shot against St. Louis County Police. I've lived in St. Louis County for 27 years. I live in a predominantly black neighborhood. My black friends and coworkers have never told me about a racist incident they've had with SLCPD. I don't see the racism you're speaking of.

Which one is Gladney in the video? I recognize one person down as the union "thug". I assume the other guy is his downed friend that he was helping up. Is Gladney the one out of view the whole time during this epic scuffle? A scuffle so bad that the fat lady sucking down a cigarette doesn't miss a puff?

jharp @ 8:08 -- You're right, Gladney doesn't have health insurance -- you probably read it here:

http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/archives/ind...

Seems he's now accepting donations to help pay for his "injuries". My irony meter just went over the top.

Imagine, this jackass is out there protesting against the public health care option, yet he just lost his own health insurance. What an idiot! Is he for real?

From what I've seen in the clip, I do not see evidence of serious injury being caused to warrant the use of a wheelchair later on. He is crying for attention, and is looking for public sympathy to get what he wants. I suppose he'll seek public help for his "pain and suffering".

(cough...).

....that the only black tea-bagger in America, gets fake injured.

Say hello to "Joe-the-Victim", the GOP's new poster boy.

yes, sir, please show us what you mean by that. what is stopping you exactly? you guys are so pre-disposed to going 'there' that i'm suprised you are exercising 'restraint' or 'sense' of any sort. maybe you arent man enough to go there, or perhaps youre afraid. what, of the law perhaps, or maybe you actually would look bad and lose any alleged high ground you have for further criticism? really, you petulant child, what is stopping you from doing what you really 'want' to do? maybe you need to go listen further to Beck to get more 'angry'.

I'm awaiting the Gloria Allred/ Al Sharpton joint press conference. And Orly Taitz. Also.

Gloria Allred. Okay.

Rev. Al Sharpton. Okay.

But please. Not OILY TITZ. Anyone else, but not OILY TITZ!!

"Oily Taint?"

)O(

That's the Protestant version.

[Comment Deleted By Administration For Violation Of Terms Of Service]

Perhaps...but she's an Oily Taint alright.

When will we see her again? I miss the bad makeup, the slurred speech, the discount store Tammy Faye Baker look.

She was just tv magic!!

I just watched the video and I couln't make heads or tails of what happened to whom. What I did see is the "victim" walking around afterwards seemingly just fine. Then the next day he was in a wheelchair so medicated he couldn't talk. I smell vulture lawyer on the premises.

If a union guy did hit him, he was foolish because you know the baggers were just praying for something like this to happen.

Total fakery ..

I mean, if a union guy really dropped the hammer on me, I don't think I'd be walking out of the room.

And if you're so fucked up that you need enough pain meds to render you incoherent, why are you even in a wheelchair at a press conference and not in a hospital bed?

I want to see who paid the attorney's retainer, the hospital/doctor bills, the prescription for his medication, his actual injuries, and his bank account. This is laughable. But they'll run with it, as usual. He's a traitor.

Luckily there is video evidence, like there was in the Rodney King case. But if their wasn't, Mr. Gladney would be free to invent a fictitious account of the incident, claiming he was savagely beaten by Union "thugs" and was knocked unconscious, and unable to walk, had to be carried out on a stretcher, etc., etc. Maybe Newt Gingrich will use him as an example of why there should be Tort Reform. Maybe if there is a government option for persons like Gladney who lose their health insurance, Gladney can be exempted from participating in this dangerous "socialism." His sanctimonious ambulance-chaser lawyer is hoping for more moments in the spotlight. Good luck.

..exercising "freedom of speech", it's outright thuggery.

These "tea-baggers" shou'ld be arrested before someone gets hurt.

And if any of the "usual suspects" try to raise an outcry, they should brought in for incitement & accomplice..

On what charge Einstein, trespassing on public property? That's what Bush and Cheney did?

comes to mind. I am sure there are others that would have been utilized during the Bush years. Why not look back at the reasons given for removing and detaining people for wearing anti-Bush stuff at his rally's and town hall meetings. Should be a good start.

"Why not look back at the reasons given for removing and detaining people for wearing anti-Bush stuff at his rally's and town hall meetings. Should be a good start."

If emulating Bush is a goal of yours, you are in the WRONG neighborhood pal.

the LAW is there for everyone.

JHunter walked the line. He was at a meeting, wrote about the challenges he faced.

You? I got no idea what you're on about, other than saying "Bush did it, so maybe we should."

That's what the terrorists did to America - they got the Bush crowd to flinch, and they're the ones who did all the damage, while Osama bin Laden is off in a cave laughing his ass off. The conservatives would like nothing more than to have us fall for the same gag.

and I really don't give a fuck if you "know what I am on about". Take it any twisted way you want. I stand by if the lawful reason for removing someone from a public forum was good enough then, then it is good enough now.

Do you have some union beef? Seriously?

..the usual suspects, I meant Billo, Rush and those jokers..They're the ones inciting people, therefore they should be behind bars, preferably in solitary confinement.

Beck is probably watching this clip in the FOX masterbatorium.

with a feather and a sink.

what a terrible mix-up of visuals between your comment and rascalcat.

....but hey, the truth is ugly sometimes.

I can picture Glenn Beck in a toga picking up his feather at the door.
I'm referencing Roman vomatoriums of course.
I thought that was understood. My bad.

You know he is and Kenneth will show up on every fox show this week.

Is that anything like the masterbatorium in Boondock Saints?
If the outcome (no pun intended...THIS time) is the same....that's fine by me, lol!

These fascists need to be stopped.

this cause is lost my friend. Susie Mandrak summed it up the other night. Fooked, proper fooked we are.

http://crooksandliars.com/susie-madrak/ten-th...

but ain't nuthin proper aboot it laddy buck!

The "victim" appeared on the video to be lucid, moving on his own power, not bleeding, not limping - clearly unhurt by whatever altercation amy have taken place.

I wouldn't be at all surpised if the guy who "beat him up" was a plant from the other side and this was all staged.

In the video wasn't he waving his hands and trying to flag the cops down as they arrived on the scene? He wasn't even limping at that point. I guess it takes time for a serious injury to be be found.

.

and just walk it off like the guys do on Monday Night Football?

I'm sorry, but this whole thing just SCREAMS "media whores!"

I mean, come on. It's not like this guy got slammed to the ground by three Dallas Cowboys line backers running at him at full speed!

This reminds me of back in the day when one of my boys didn't want to go to school and they'd be limping around the house at the age of seven. I'd trick them every time when I said, "Show me how you walked BEFORE you got hurt." And they'd go prancing down the hall.....then quickly go back to the limp.

I want to see the doctor's report from the E.R. "Scuffed Up A Little" is not a legitimate diagnosis.

Something stinks here and I hope the morons who sent the union guys out realize what kooks they are.

Or that Gladney dragged the SEIU guy down and claimed he was knocked down ..

Many ways to stage it ..

But it for sure looked staged the first time I watched it right after the original video was posted ..

They WILL do anything to get their victimhood on ..

I would not be surprised if this was staged either.

Reminds me of when Mrs. Partridge almost got taken by a man in a cervical collar. Republicans remind me of that guy. Danny Bonaduce exposed the fraud.
Why can't we?

When Mrs. Brady hit the guy in the parking lot and he shows up in a neck brace in court. Mike drops his briefcase on the floor causing the guy to turn his head.

The people who incite violence are always trying to distract from the issue.

It is possible for emotions to get the better of someone but this one sure looks like something other than sincere.

The Conservatives know that the overwhelming white crowds and white anger against the black President is failing, so now they're bringing out their "Toby's" to make their bullshit "movement" seem diverse. Lol.

charade.

What? No Neckbrace? No self respecting phony should be without a foot tall foam neckbrace.

The 'victim' was the minister, I mean 'union thug' who was on the ground before the 'faux-victim'.
The 'idiocracy' EXPOSED

I've seen a couple of people refer to that SEIU guy as "minister."

In all seriousness, is it known that he is indeed a "minister?"

They had him is a wheel chair. God damn retards. Didn't they know if they had him on a gurney it would have been worth thousands more $$$$$. He should sue his Lawyer for malpractice for Christ's sake.

Totally agree. These shitheads can't do anything right! If they were in the mafia, they would be shot for not having the fake beatdown done properly.

Imagine, these are the idiots that want all of us to listen to them and take them seriously. I know third-graders who can put on a better production than this.

He'll 'go down' anytime, anywhere and un-clog your 'pipes' for a nickle!

I've seen far worse fights by drunk women in bar restrooms.

Total fakery.

Duuuuuuhuuuude!
Don't think I would have told that one, lol!!!

before the cops arrived. But point taken...

But I saw an opportunity to make a funny.

Completely different subject...I'm drinking a coca cola right now...and it's the first one in at LEAST a million years, no lie.
And it's not very good...I guess after years only drinking water, coffee, beer, and various juices...consuming such an artificial beverage is a shock to the palate as well as my stomach......yuck...

)O(

Probably high-fructose corn syrup, not sugar.

Google it.

But those fights by drunk women in bar restrooms are the real deal....

(Not that I've personally been involved in any....but I may have witnessed a few. Lots of hair in fists, lots of blood, sweat and tears.)

It destroys the myth of health care rationing.

http://progressnotcongress.org/?p=2445

The first that came to my mind would be professional wrestling. However, after quick thought, I don't think Vince McMahon would want this shithead around the normal folks in the WWE.

Maybe he could try the Mixed Martial Arts world. Nah, he would certainly be killed in an MMA fight (to the delight of the audience).

Oh well, Hollwood will find some use for him.

I'm thinking sports, something like the NBA or a soccer team, where flopping is encouraged.

so off-topic, but I would enjoy professional soccer so much more without the agonized rolling around on the pitch. I mean, flopping: ok. But at least in the NBA they get up right away with a "Who, me?" look on their face. In soccer (futbol), they seem to roll around like a leg has come off, then get up and continue play like nothing happened once their teammates have grabbed some orange slices and water.

I mean the sceaming! The grimacing! Oh my god, somebody HELP that man!!! Can't you see he is in PAIN!??!? Heheheh....

Anyway.

:)

This is going to get ugly. The right has drifted into crazy land and it does not look like they are trying to find their way back to reality. If you are going to a town hall meeting try not to get down with these wing nuts. It looks like they are trying to incite an incident to use as a rallying point. They want trouble. Don't give it to them.

of what these fake patriots are. Wusses, anyone that gets into a minor skirmish like that and gets into a wheelchair the day after doesn't represent Americns.

As a black female, I found this Gadney person to be a real idiot! I hope that Rachel Maddow or Keith Olbermann gets a hold of this video to highlight this garbage. These wingers and teabaggers are starting to realize just how fake and ignorant they look so, like that idiot Joe Scarborough this morning, they're trying to make us appear as ignorant and irrational as they do. It's not working. I just read an item on firedoglake.com that says Gadney is now accepting donations towards his medical bills because he recently lost his job and has NO HEALTH INSURANCE! What a complete moron he is. And who's paying his attorney? Once they get a look at this footage of him WALIKING AWAY this case will be dismissed!

An in-depth interview with Gladney and his "physicians" on the state of our health care system might be quite enlightening.

I was raging mad this morning when Joe was saying the craziness was coming from both sides. I want him to show an example. Just because Pelosi mentioned a swastika, doesn't mean the left is crazy, she was the truth. There are people using swastikas at these meetings and they are not liberals. Joe's saying that they do it too does not make it right.

The right are going to come out looking very bad in this thing. I hope they keep using Newt. He was a great poster person for the insanes with his support of Sarah Palin's insanity about Obama's Death Council.

That's a favorite phrase of those who do not want to take responsibility for their actions.

The judicial system does not look favorably on frivolous law suits. The next collection he will have to take up if he tries to file one will be to pay the fines for doing so. His lawyer would also get fined, and possibly disciplined by his licensing organization. I wonder who told him to or neglected to tell him not to bring up the fact that he lost his job and his health insurance. Makes him or his handlers look quite stupid. But that won't stop other maroons from using this to advance their cause--making Obama fail.

Why don't they just come out and say, they're afraid for their "Religious liberty". Susie Madrak's post extrapolates their true concerns quite clearly, I believe.

The other correlating opposition is big insurance. Which in reality we may find is quite similar to AIG / AIU. Things are all well and good when the money is coming in... not so good when its going out. It's all about the risk exposure. It caught up to Mr. Ponzi, Bernie Madoff and that AIG (FP) division. Insurance can be good or bad... it's whoever is supplying and profiting, that needs the spotlight.

Alan Grayson: Citi & Insurance
[ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-DOwLnQ4nk ](5:18)

I sure hope Saturday Night live does something with this. It's better than anything they could make up, that is for sure.

And 'inevitable' is part of the Teabagger Right's plan. Chaos is where the money people thrive. Iraq, Katrina, and now the health care kerfuffle.

Way to let yourselves be ginned up against your own best interests once again, oh conservative 'patriots'. Well done. Bravo. I golf clap in your general direction.

If you were only hurting yourselves, I'd be content to stand aside and watch with sadness as you do a group immolation, but you are dragging me, mine, and other Americans who I will never meet, but care about anyway, down with your ignorant ravings. Not that you'd care.

1. Stupidity does not know color barriers

2. The US will probably be the first society in human history where an inverse revolution may take place: By inverse, I mean that it will be members of the middle and lower classes the ones who will revolt to defend the interests of the upper classes and continue their very own subjugation. This sort of puts in perspective the rampant stupidity of sectors of our society.

We're f*cked....

....isn't it? These yo-yos may very well be in the noisy, stupid minority, but one idiot standing in the middle of a crowd of hundreds with an automatic weapon loaded with pure stupid can do a lot of damage. These people are destroying the dialogue and dragging us down with them. The fools. I really don't understand it. Well, I do, but my brain is burning from trying to comprehend teh stoopid.

Someone (a middle-class member in her 40's) told me, in private, that she does not see what all the complaining and worry is about, because the alleged economic problems have not affected her at all. She doubts their existence. Her husband makes pretty good money, and she works just for spending money. They own their own home, have no children, have three dogs, two cars and a truck, all fairly new, play golf, and take vacations. They also have two insurance companies covering them for free through their employers, one a communication giant and the other a state government. How nice to be them. Their situation, repeated many times over, may be a big part of the problem.

I mentioned to my dutch brother in law my concerns about emerging fascism in america. This was 2004 and he really thought I was crazy.

I'm not crazy. I'm afraid that america has completed steps 1 and 2 and now onto the third phase of fascism. Violence and destruction of personal property.

coupling of corporate and state interests. In other words, when the government becomes more concerned with the "rights" and interests of corporations, than it does with its citizens, then by all intents and purposes we're living in a fascist system.

Most people tend to associate fascism with silly goose stepping crowds, however both Hitler and Mussolini (and in a lesser extent Franco) identified fascism first and foremost as an economic not political ideology. And they identified socialism and communism as their ideological opposites, since fascism advocates for the takeover of the state by the corporations (not the other way around like communism does). So it is no "coincidence" that these loons are spouting the whole "socialism is evil" meme, even though they have no clue what or why they are doing it... they are indeed acting as proxies for fascist-like movements.

But we must be not be naive and think that this "takeover" is anything new. Fascism has been alive and well in this country, Prescott Bush (GWB's granddad) was an unapologetic fascist, in fact a significant portion of the GOP from the 1920s on could be construed as being fascist (they even tried to topple FDR's presidency via a military coup in the 30s). Which is also why we should not think that the GOP has just been "hijacked" by these vermin.

Nice posting today Tyler. Your inverse revolution idea is an interesting observation.

Now I know Jhunter will rake me for this and I will say in advance that I have also attended rallys and demos and also taken verbal shit at work and kept my cool. But I suspect that Gladney was harassing the pro reform demonstrators. I can only say that I am not surprised he got pushed around. He's lucky that's all he got. This little prick obviously does not understand that you don't fuck with union people, especially ones that appear to be about 6 ft 5 inches and 250 lbs. And I call Gladney a little prick based upon his actions today. Until now I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

The media will run with this all they want, and we can joke about Glenda Beck or wring our hands in nervous anticipation over our image in the news being demonized. They are no friends of mine to begin with so I say, fuck them. They will NEVER give an objective report, and will suck GOP dick til the cows come home. If these folks want to mix it up with union members, I suggest they bring bodyguards.

The lousy US educational system results in most people not knowing enough to even look up words to confirm that they know what they're talking about. Then you have the media calling educated people "elites," like being educated is a character defect. Do you know if it is true that Prescott Bush sold ovens to the Nazis? I can't get past reading this somewhere. I want to know, but I do not want to go wading through concentration camp articles, etc., as it will distract me from something else that takes priority for me at the moment. Speaking of Nazis, Limbo continues his blather from last week, saying that Pelosi started it first, and the Dems are closer to being Nazis than his side. But it's only Monday.

...Thank you for taking the time to furnish it.

Did you happen to stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night by any chance? :)

started by small groups of people determined to get their way. What makes this one bizarre is it's being financed by flag waving "Corporate Interests".

And if it get's violent it's going to all be Obama's fault of course.

Corporate Theocracy . . you bet we are buddy

Slick, aren't they (the corporations). Stupid, aren't they (the small groups). They learned in Florida 2000 not to use their own.

of these asshats that call themselves Republicans. I've had it. I am advocating no further discussion with anyone who identifies themselves as Republican. Your birther patriot "brothers & sisters" have brought this attitude on my part. There can be no rational discourse with persons so far detatched from reality. It's all I can do to not simply beat the living shit out of them for being so cluelessly, galactically stupid. They have no reason to draw breath. They are from the shallow end of the gene pool, and frankly, the best part of them ran down the crack of their mama's ass and ended up as a stain on the bedsheet. They're afraid of euthanasia? Oh, if only we could be so lucky and start the process with them.

...

Oh yea, fake 1. Still tho the crowds the mindless shallow bring are very small compared to the Anti-war crowds. This country is unbelievable.

PLEASE PLEASE let this be on the Daily Show or at least Olbermann tonight!

what the hell? You're actually accusing this guys beating of being fake or staged?

I thought this site didn't do conspiracy theories.

and didn't start fights but had been in worse fights than what this appeared to be and never ended up in a wheelchair the next day. This was staged.

...a faker isn't necessarily a conspiracy theory, just an observation.

Exaggerate all you want. It is what it is. And it's on tape.

Nobody can believe a damn thing the lying, uneducated, Right Wing-Nut terrorists say. They just are never capable of telling the truth.

Ok so here's whats going on here. There has been an industry running in this country at least since the 80's and probably before then. If your black or any minority you can make a pretty penny by attaching yourself to the conservative movement. They will take you around and show you off like your a brand new toy they received on Christmas. Its a simple strategy for minorities. Spew the latest right wing talking point ad nauseam, and when refuted by liberals, claim that you are being attacked for being a black conservative. We have seen this same tableau over and over again starting with Clarence Thomas right on down to Alan Keyes. We saw it last month when that dude representing some black commerce group took offense at Barbara Boxer for refuting him with data from other black groups. Its all a show. Its all for the money, these people know they'll get paid by by conservative interests groups. This Gladney guy is just the latest example of this. I read on some right wing blog over the weekend that this guy showed up at a town hall in a wheel chair over the weekend. Its all bullshit really.

I'm a black dude and I'm rather happy that he got knocked on his ass. He should have been knocked on his ass a bit harder.

If they can't use it as a "union bad" thing they could use it for tort reform

justice. The only ones who can get you justice.

Lets see I'm a troll for offering my perspective, which is fully open to refutation. Instead I get some dude offering what I guess is their best attempt at what they think is black diction, likely because I identified my race. But I'm the bitch ass troll. Wow, this has been a bad 45 minutes.

Let's be friends here. Obviously, MES84 isn't aware of L&P historical and selective use of sarcasm and wit.

You can't punish people for being ignorant.

Was that wit from L&P? Excuse me for my ignorance then, I thought it was talking points from stormfront.

1. Your account is just over an hour old.

2. Despite decrying violence, that's exactly what you offered to L&P.

3. You are resorting to reverse-racism arguments: "I thought it was talking points from stormfront."

4. You are immediately taking offense and making it personal. My advice, if you're that thin skinned - is go hang out on the My Little Pony forum or something else kid-friendly. We do get in each other's faces from time to time, but generally understand it's not personal.

Really...without getting too deep into this. First, you ASSUME I was speaking to you directly. Understand, you were far too uninteresting in your comments to waste time on.

Second, I was unaware that what I was attempting was black diction, but...if you say so...fine.

Third, did you actually read my comment...beyond reaching for the race card to attack me?

You must be pretty bored then if you chose to reply to a comment that you thought was uninteresting. Why did you waste time on it.

Liberal AND Proud said.

We seem to have quite a few new fellers and gals jerning us here at C&L.

"Welll, we're all just pleased as punch to have ya hear...supportin' the minorities and showing your aversion to vilence.

Warms ma heart, I tell ya.

Well, don't mind me...I'm just gonna mosey yonder and see iffen I can't get a good look at that Obamer feller and see iffen he don't look like no muslin.

I see ya later".

I'm sorry but I guess I did miss the point you were trying to make here. Your subsequent writing doesn't seem to be written this way. Would you care to explain?

Not really. No.

You're a smart feller. ;o)

of Foghorn Leghorn. I think perhaps the new guy could add another perspective to our daily dialog. What do you think? Do over?

You said, "I'm a black dude and I'm rather happy that he got knocked on his ass. He should have been knocked on his ass a bit harder."

Not really sure what you being a black dude has to do with your comment?

So, you got off to a little rocky start. Don't let that keep you away as many views are welcome as long as they are civil and coherent.

Really. Chill OUT dude. You're new here. L&P was not addressing you specifically and that was a SOUTHERN DRAWL, not a racial slur. Lighten up. We fucking agree with your 10:41 comment! Some may take exception to the knock down comment, but thate rest was a good point.

a white person, then what? All hell would have broke loose.

Being a Texas, I thought it was Texan.

I was listening to Randi Rhodes last week and someone called in trying to say the guys at Kathy Castors Townhall in Tampa were union guys and said they were pushing people around. Ofcourse, Randi wasn't having any of it and let the caller know they were full of it. Video footage does not show any evidence of what this person was saying. Add to that the threatening calls such as the one the SEIU received where a lady was accusing the SEIU of thuggery and that people better respect the 1st amendment or they were going to start seeing the 2nd amendment exercised.

The one with the video clip we saw a few days ago was taken soon after the meeting concluded, but they may've been blocking driveways, sidewalk for those trying to leave, and may've been attempting to essentially loiter to create the scene.

The trouble is they shot too much of the scene and undid their own case.
