A couple of weeks ago, Glenn Beck went on the air on his radio program and described an encounter he had on an Amtrak train with Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg. It was, like so much of Beck's schtick, a (ahem) highly exaggerated account intended to (a) make Beck look good, and (b) make a point about those awful librul media elites or something.
Actually, much of it was outright fabrication. And they called him on it when they hosted him on The View this morning. Beck keeps smiling and laughing, but his backside is nailed to the wall, and it's hilarious to see him squirm.
You really should watch it for yourselves. But suffice to say, "Glenn Beck" and "lying sack of dog mess" are now two phrases that will be permanently intertwined.
So maybe the next time they have Beck on, they should ask him about his bizarre fantasies about having sex with his sister. That might be even more fun.

Glad the ladies of The View have the chutzpah to tell it like it is (thanks especially to Whoopie for the description and Barbara for specifically nailing him on not checking sources. So we know he made most of it up). They are back on my list of shows to watch. The View and Jesse Ventura are certainly doing some nice work on revealing truth about the GOP these days. Way to go!

In fact, other than the fact that they were all on a train and spoke to one another, the truth has nothing in common with what Beck said apparently.

I do not believe that you are really in the military. If you think Glen Beck has shown courage in this situation, then you don't know what courage is. Apparently, you consider yourself to be a person of "actual importance." Isn't that a judgment that others should make with respect to you, and not one you make yourself? One more thing, aren't you hiding behind anonymity yourself?

Yes, I do consider it courageous to go to a place that is highly hostile to your presence and attempt to defend yourself there. He did so, and for that he is courageous. The same as the token Democrat that Sean Hannity puts on his "fair and balanced" group of talking heads each night. They are, essentially, there to be punching bags for everyone else. Takes courage to knowingly walk into that.
And I am not "hiding" behind anonymity, I am merely responding in the necessary manner for the board. I have no problem revealing my identity to a person who wishes to engage in a normal and reasoned discussion, but I have a feeling that were I to release my phone number I would be inundated with death threats until the break of dawn.
If you think Glen Beck thinks about anything instead of just spouting off his psychotic nonsense, you're (notice I spelled it correctly) not very smart. So you can spell and punctuate. It is the substance of what you say that really counts. If all you have is some simple criticism of someone's spelling, you're running on empty. If you have anything of substance besides your self-pity, spill it.
He was booked to do the show BEFORE he told his little fairy tale. He ginned up the hostility. There is nothing, absolutely NOTHING courageous about that.
