McCain/Palin supporters let their racist roots show

It was kind of strange, dintcha think, that John McCain came to the defense of his supporters last night after Barack Obama pointed out that people at McCain/Palin rallies were shouting out "terrorist" and "kill him!" in reference to Obama.

Now an Al Jazeera camera crew caught the honest sentiments of McCain/Palin supporters at an Ohio rally:

“I’m afraid if he wins, the blacks will take over. He’s not a Christian! This is a Christian nation! What is our country gonna end up like?”

“When you got a Negra running for president, you need a first stringer. He’s definitely a second stringer.”

“He seems like a sheep - or a wolf in sheep’s clothing to be honest with you. And I believe Palin - she’s filled with the Holy Spirit, and I believe she’s gonna bring honesty and integrity to the White House.”

“He’s related to a known terrorist, for one.”

“He is friends with a terrorist of this country!”

“He must support terrorists! You know, uh, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck. And that to me is Obama.”

“Just the whole, Muslim thing, and everything, and everybody’s still kinda - a lot of people have forgotten about 9/11, but… I dunno, it’s just kinda… a little unnerving.”

“Obama and his wife, I’m concerned that they could be anti-white. That he might hide that.”

“I don’t like the fact that he thinks us white people are trash… because we’re not!”

Yep, McCain must be so proud.

The rest of us, well ... let's just say those polls should tell the story.

watching these poor, uneducated, brainwashed beasts come un-hinged, after the hell their Corporate masters have put us all through. Suck it up, tools, here comes the Reality Train.

About time for these ignorant sheeple to understand the route the wanted us all to take, so they didn't have to use their brains, did not work, does not work, and will not work.

Wake up, sheeple!

??

Mccain supporters getting boo'd and heckled is not comparable to the level of hate displayed in this clip. Why are you comparing regular boo'ing and heckling to this clip of people basically advocating Hitler and Nazism's basic ideals.

While the respondents' answers are appalling, a comparison to Nazism is uncalled for and inaccurate. No one here advocated genocide. They showed tragic levels of ignorance and prejudice, but none suggested extermination or other forms of violence. Comparing these poor peoples' views to those of Hitler cheapens the gravity of his crimes and is an injustice to them, wrong though they may be.

McCain and Palin are running their campaign, like Hitler when he first being his campaign to take over Germany. With speeches of hate, lies to the point of almost riots and increasing the insane rage of the crowd this was Hiitler, when he first being. This is Palin today. Palin ask about banning books, Hitler banned books from 1933 -1944, except books of Germany orgin.

What kind of a person enjoys hearing the crowd saying things like, "kill him" "off with his head" "terrorist" a person who has no soul and doesn't care about our country are the people. They only care about getting to the top at all cost.

Kill that ******!

LOL

if you are so big and bad, verify yourself,I am assuming that you have the fredom of speech, so why hide what you want to say let your presence be known, because I am a black man in this world and you want to say something like that. You are just proving your point how ignorent people can be, so to me you are just another coward who yell's pointless chants and hides under a sheet with holes cut out. Me i am proud to show who I'm proud to show who I am, and that makes me an American.

While the respondents' answers are appalling, a comparison to Nazism is uncalled for and inaccurate. No one here advocated genocide. While I understand what you're saying, you must also understand that that is how it started with Hitler. It started with Hitler himself instilling fear into the citizens of Germany and history only repeats itself. I mean if you were to go all the way back to Egypt when Jacob and his sons moved there, Israel were hard labourers and honest and guest what? The Pharoah instilled fear into the Egyptians saying that the Israelites are many and that they will take over, and we all know what happened to the Israelites after, so history only repeats itself. I trust that you remain open towards these words.

Just wondering if you've ever picked up a history book? If you had, I'm sure you would find that anti-semitism in Europe, not just Germany, was already prominent before Hitler came to power. This allowed him to rise quickly to power but Hitler did not create the fear. In the late 18th century, in particular eastern Europe, there were a number of Pogroms against Jewish populations.

Aren't you aware of the hatred inherent in America? The same kind of hatred and pogroms (jim crow law's) that are present today.

For some reason (bigotry/ignorance) people are refusing to see that it IS the same thing as what lead to the Holocaust.

Godwin's Law invoked. Conversation is now officially over.

It's not as if they are verbally defenseless. The protesters and the hecklers are playing on an even field. I've seen much worse between Mets and Yankees fans.

The racism and hatred that's surfacing in the GOP majority small towns and burgs across America is a whole different ball 'o wax.

These people have to be the dumbest people in the world. I can't believe that there are still ignorante people like this that are even allowed to speak. But as the saying goes, "Stupid people say stupid things" Obamma fights for the country not a race get it together people. Jesus help them!!!!!!!

This is all so depressing! You know racism exist in this country, you've experienced it but this race has brought everything out all at once. When they make race an issue, they're not just attacking Obama but every single African American whose back this country was built on. They might as well be telling us all over again that we're not human.

But look at what the polls are telling us!
They're telling us that the majority of the people in this country are ready and willing to stand shoulder to shoulder with people of another color to take our country back from the hands of people like this.

Got Hope?
I do.
Keep your chin up. African Americans are seeing some ugly treatment in this. White liberals are, too. We're "commie faggots" who should "go back to Russia", "baby-killers", "libtards", etc.
It's the politics of hate, and it's directed at anybody who opposes the Republican platform. We're here with you. You're here with us. Let's keep it going, ya'll!

...It is amazing to me that these people profess to believe in God. They hate abortion yet support the death penalty. They want to infect us with their views and opinions and don't the grace or dignity to agree to disagree. Instead of "drill baby drill" their mantra should be "kill baby kill". Hate is so ugly.

Besides being ignorant, these folks would also be the first to complain about the "guv'mint" intruding in their lives if they had an oil well or "nucular" plant built on or near their property. The sad thing too is that it's not even worth trying to change their minds as they are so ignorant. It makes me sad.

You're right. They want to deny women the right to choose, but then they also want to deny single mothers any kind of assistance that they need to raise those unwanted children.

these unwanted children should have thought about how to not get pregnant to start with,,they go out party,or hook up with every tom dick, harry, then end up pregnant over and over then they know government will help them with welfare food stamps, wick so they think it's ok to continue to have babies,,more you have more you get from government,,,we now have thre generations of welfare parents,,that's the shame,,most don't know or care who fathers the babies,,because the fathers can't be there in order to get money,,,sorry way to brings children in to this world,,,and you wonder why kids are so angry .they don't have a man around to teach them right or wrong, and all they see is a mother, her actions only show the kids their future is welfare

Seriously, the GOP shouldn't pay you for this post. It's kinda lame.

Oh man. You need to learn a thing or two about reality.
The majority of people having abortions DO NOT do this as 'birth control'. It is a difficult and heart-wrenching decision for them, it's not a "quick fix" as you implied. I've known people that were brutally raped that chose to terminate the pregnancy. She was distraught over this decision, but to look into the eyes of a child and be reminded of that night would have been just too much for her. The girls/women that are "hooking up with every tom, dick and harry" are the ones that are generally using the pill....it's HIV education and assistance that they'll need.
The Republican Right Wing are SO out of touch. I'm a single mom...not my choice mind you. I was a stay at home mom when my ex-husband left. He didn't contribute anything financially to the children for a year (and now does through a wage garnishment). I HAD to go on welfare until I was able to get a job, and then various types of other support while I was working. You can't support 2 children with most entry levels jobs in this country. The reality is this; There are those of us out there that need assistance in some form or another. It's not a constant thing for many of us, it's just from time to time. Help with fuel in the winter, help with gaps (crater sized) in health insurance, help with childcare expenses. We're working, we're volunteering, we're voting. We're the ones trying to raise our children to become incredible adults, so that maybe in thier lifetime, many of these social issues can be fixed. This unfortunately can not happen though with so many small minded ignorant people like yourself thinking that your knowledge of the world is accurate. Please get a life...and live it honorably.

Is it more important for people to not go bankrupt from having children and to be able to provide proper medical care to newborns? Or is it more important to force all mothers to have children, even from rapists, and make them pay for it too? You can't look at generally what works. You have to be aware of the impact of the exceptions.

I agree.
Another thing that bothers me about these fundie religious types.... they believe in the sanctity of life, until it comes to the killing of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi men, women and children who did NOTHING to us, or anyone else for that matter.

Either all life is sacred or ir isn't.
And if it's not, you are all, each and every one, hypocrites of the worst kind.

Its a good thing they only represent about 28% of the country, which is still insanely large (no pun intended) but at least they won't win and they might even learn something in the next 4 years !! Probably not though...who am i kidding...Ignorance-God-Uneducated Masses = The Right-Wing Core Repugs !!

Go Obama Go !!

EXACTLY what I was thinking, that they are so against abortion calling it baby killing yet they think it is okay to go to another country and kills tons of innocent people along with our soldiers, it is extremely hypocritical. I am christian and I don't see how it is the christian thing to do to go to war! It makes no sense...I was taught to think about what would Jesus do when making a decision, and I am sure he wouldn't say "lets go to war..." So why do these people think that the GOP is for christians?!

I am not for it or against it, but I think a woman should have a right to choose, especially if it is the result of a violent crime of rape or incest....and after watching this video, this may sound kind of mean but wondering if perhaps some of them are products of inbreeding themselves, which may be why they are against abortion. (ok, I know, that wasn't nice...)

Lets hope Obama gets into office. We really need a change, and with him in office our children will hopefully grow up with a better sense of everyone is equal and less racism in this country.

I am prochoice, but I really tire of fellow pro-choicers comparing the death penalty to abortion. I've had children, so I can see where the pro-lifers are coming from. Think about it from their point of view, they see the fetus as an innocent child. Most of the people on death row are cold killers, some of children.

You see I'm prochoice and pro-death penalty. Although I believe the fetus is alive, its the woman's decision, the fetus is growing in her body after.

Death penalty-people who are against the death penalty seem to show a lot of compassion for the criminals, but none at all for the victim. Before getting angry at me and calling me a "shudder" Mccain support, just think about this. That is just as bad as saying the fetus of a rape victim has more rights to me.

Now that rant is over, the rally may as well have taken place in my area. I'm surrounded by many ignorant sheeple.

"We're here with you. You're here with us. Let's keep it going, ya'll!"

Thank you-beautifully said. Shoulder to shoulder we will go forward and help this country find it's mind, heart and soul again.

You know, I am hopeful. Although comments like the ones in this video are disturbing, I have to say that I am not shocked by them or surprised.Inspight of them, I am hopeful. I see thousands of people of all races, all of them proud Americans supporting Barack Obama and that makes me hopeful and it makes me proud. I understand the people who spew hate.I understand that it comes only out of fear. Fear of what they don't understand. All things happen in their time, and I believe that it is time for a Barack Obama... not because he is Black, but because it is time for people like the ones in the video to be given the opportunity to see that black people are people. We want the same things in life that any other American wants. Barack Obama is many things; he is black and he is white, he is a father, a husband, a christian, a person who is filled with hope and pride for his Country, the United States of America. It is time for people like the ones in this video to see that we are just people. That is all.

Excellent sentiment!

I am a white woman and I will stand beside my African American brothers and sisters any day. I am like you in my faith in Obama and the politics of hope. I am NOT like these people. We will prevail in this if we stand up against the hate together with our voices and our votes. My husband and I shake our heads when we hear McCain say he reaches across the aisle. Talk is cheap when I'm watching what he and Palin are doing with their horrific politics. Country first my A SS . He is a divider not a uniter.

It's pretty sad that we the democrats and the other Americans may have to suffer and cover our heads in shame, if this dangerous team of McCain/Palin is elected. McCain is just stuck in stupid, just like G. W. Bush, yes I said...he is STUPID LIKE BUSH! Palin is just evil...a pretty face with a wicked spirit. As an African American babyboomer, I find this election to be very stressful, for the hatred that comes with being ignorant and uneducated is so blatant, and I am afraid that someone is going to get hurt. Obama-Biden 08!

Thank you. These are inspiring words: 'side by side', 'shoulder to shoulder'. I'm moved enough to write from here in London.

I am a white American woman, married to a white (dual citizen) English man, and I, too, have faith that we can, side by side and shoulder to shoulder, help calm the irrational fears of these poor people. I don't mean poor in an economic sense, but there's that, too. And I don't mean to be smug, elitist, or condescending. Yes, of course I'm fearful for Obama (and his family's) safety. And I feel that Sarah Palin is deliberately setting in motion something that is too hideous to talk about. In her lust for power (and lust for attention: because in today's world, the lines of power and celebrity are blurred, and this sudden media attention is no doubt quite heady for her) she is playing on ignorant and small minded people's fears. I'd like to believe that is unconscious, but I have a terrible feeling it isn't, and that's where the true evil resides: in people that are smart enough to know better. And while Sarah Palin might not be all that well read, one thing she isn't, is dumb.

But I believe that what is at the core of all this anger is fear. And the rest of us - the silent majority - have a choice. We can react with anger and fear, or we can lead, as Barack and Michelle Obama, and Joe and Jill Biden are doing, by example. I am very moved by the wonderful comments I'm reading here. We must keep up the momentum, Americans, and not assume that Obama/Biden will win. We must all vote, because you'd better believe these kind of people are not going to stay home and be complacent. We must get our HALF BLACK, but also HALF WHITE, candidate in the White House so that we can show these people that they have nothing to fear.

I believe that when the quality of all Americans' lives start improving, when our standing in the world starts changing (and trust me: from where I sit in London, if the rest of the world could vote, it would be a landslide for Obama), then and only then will these people calm down. Some might never change. But that doesn't mean we have to become like them. As long as I read moving comments like I'm reading here, of people who are taking the high road and practising forgiveness, I, too, have faith. Because that open heart, that sense of charity and forgiveness towards our fellow man, that is the true foundation for Christianity, and for all other faiths. And that includes the Muslim faith as well.

peace

I am european and cannot vote. But our feelings and thoughts are with you. Neil Young wrote this 2006:

We're lookin' for a leader
With the great spirit on his side
Someone walks among us
And I hope he hears the call
And maybe it's a woman
Or a black man after all.

Sounds like a prophecy. Keep the spirit.
Chris

I just saw this, and got a bit tearful. I was a big Neil Young fan - and met him years ago, in NY - but I didn't know that song. I'll check it out.

Thank you so much. That's why I, and other men but mostly women, have been campaigning every weekend in London for the past 6 or more weeks. We'll get him & Joe Biden in, I believe that, and under their leadership, we'll all make this world an infinitely better place.

Great documentary clip on this song - Looking for a Leader.

Your words are eloquent and I feel heart-felt. I too am very hopeful that we are witnessing history in the making and a turning of the tide. I also feel that we must not lose momentum and make sure that we all (Obama supporters) get out there and vote...especially because we do not have this thing won YET. Make no mistake, I believe in the power of the people and the voting process....however, we have already witnessed, in recent history, an election being won by "stealing" votes and tampering with ballots. There are already "schemes" and "plans" in place to do the same thing with this election. The "people" shown on this video, spouting their racist nonsense are not the one's we should be worried about....we need to be concerned with the GOP members that "volunteer" at these polling places, or have access to ballots. When staring at a no win situation, people become desperate......think about it. How did Bush win? Do not think for one minute that the same thing could not happen again in McCain's favor!!

Thank you.....well said! I think everyone is appalled by the hatefulness, the back-biting and the wedge being driven in this campaign, one that divides our wonderful country. I have hope and faith that Obama will prevail and knock that wedge to "kingdom come."

Thanks Shoulder. Reading your comment brought tears to my eyes. We're all in this together. & Black people, our people have been through worse. Less focus & not let these hicks get to us. We have to stand together with the good people of America to make this happen.

Although it's disgraceful the ignorance and filth displayed at Republican "KKK"rallies,I agree with Ellawensmom. No matter what happens, I have to say that I am proud of white America. Major strides have been made in history. An African-American made the major Democratic ticket; and he's closest to the presidency ever. History IS about to be made, and assures that any minority child knows that they can be president one day. It's about time also that America faces racism. These country hicks will have to come out of their little narrow-minded shells, and face their "fears". The audacity of that woman who stated that "This is a Christian nation"; and in the same sentence saying that the "Blacks will take over"! My God!,unbelievable!Where's the love and compassion for fellow humans no matter what? And you can honestly see that they have NO CLUE what they're saying! God help them! (and us), But it's about time, and it won't be easy once O'Bama gets in. The work will just begin; for everything he does will be scrutinized. All in all, again, I'm very proud of America!

Let it roll off your back. Some people want this country to revert back to the 60's because they cannot handle that all men are created equal. They like to feel like they're better than others because otherwise, their life would seem meaningless. Thats the bottom line.

As an African American female, I really appreciate your support. You White Americans have mine, as well. You are right, we have to work together to make this country what it should be and I have hope for the future that we can make it happen. The polls show that real Americans do not support, as a matter of fact, decry these hateful tactics of the Republicans.

No doubt--count me in (white man 7 years younger than Barack...). My grandfather was in riots against the fascists in London. Maybe there's some kind of basic human compassion in all of us but I found myself spontaneously fighting the racist kids in the playground when I was about 6 years old!

I truly know that love is stronger than hate. We are about to find that out. No matter what happens on November 4 Obama has already brought to the surface the poisons in America, and has been manifesting an incredibly inspiring and healing energy. I've never felt so passionate about an election in my entire life and I know many others who feel the same.

My favorite political poet Shelley would have said:

Rise like lions after slumber
In unvanquishable number
We are many--they are few.

As a Green alien, I really appreciate your support. You White Americans have mine, as well. You are right, we have to work together to make this country what it should be and I have hope for the future that we can make it happen. The polls show that real Americans do not support, as a matter of fact, decry these hateful tactics of the Republicans.
*yay for comma splices*

As my satire shows, telling us your race is like telling us that you're a lifeform. I really thought we were above that. It doesn't matter what race you are.

Please think about what I've said. If you truly wish for change, start with yourselves. The way your phrased your comment, "as an african america," it seems almost as racist as those supporters. Your comment was ignorant and full of contempt for the destruction of racial borders. Branding Obama supporters as the real Americans really shows how unamerican you are yourself.

Whether African American/Black, Caucasion/ White, Heterosexual/Homosexual, Democrat/Republican it all boils down to one thing we are Americans. Americans who hate to see what has been done to our country. We need not let individuals such as these divide us. We will not let their ignorant voice rise above ours. They do not define us we do. Let them continue to live in their microverse which is not indicative of the United States as a whole while we work on building the bridges that will connect us again after this campaign is over. My final words let there be hope.

Obama/Biden 08

You have brought tears to my eyes and your comment is a gift to this blog.
I am inspired by your comment, we can do this Americans " Shoulder to Shoulder".
This moment belongs to all of us, and it is our country that demands us to stand together.
These people and their ignorance are holding on to all they know however we know and can do better.

" -The serenity to change the things we can [shoulder to shoulder] and the wisdom to know the difference."

It is really how sad this really is. People putting race first over the welfare of others is truely depressing. What is even sadder is the deep hate these people have and what even makes it worse. THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT NOR HAVE THEY EVEN RESEARCHED ANY OF THE THINGS THEY ARE SAYING...

HONEST OUR WORLD NEEDS SOMETHING DIFFERENT, HATE AND ANGER.

Hey Iamwoman, I wish I could say something to take your depression away unfortunatley some people have the misfortune of having DR.s drop them on their head at birth. This man is living proof that it is a more common occurance than once thought. I am a 49 year old white man and I have always lived with the hope that Dr Kings dream would become reality in my lifetime.I certainly dont think we have come along fast enough by any means. Regardless whatever it takes, this country of yours and mine will overcome this backwards kind of thinking inch by inch if we have to. Take care

You are soooo right. I agree with you absolutely.
But, there is a bright side to this.
If you had this election ten or twenty years ago or even in '04 you'd have heard a lot more of this than you do today. Be assured we ARE making progress in this country on racism. These folks are the uneducated, scared minority. Unfortunately they are still here and you can find their ilk all over the country. Hang in there! We are ALL Americans.

Iamwoman, when any race is attacked, we are all under attack.
This is America dammit!
It still amazes me that some people think "Black Only" when they hear the term "Civil Rights". They can't see themselves in the mirror.
And then to attack Obama for being Black when every wrong thing that is going on today is by a nearly all-White government is not only irrelevant. It is ignorant.
These are people who often have little to show for their work and are so afraid and angry that they are going to lose more, they are on the attack. They can't see that their troubles are still being created by the candidates that they choose, and chose in the past.

I agree with your comments. These people can't even feel shameful because they think they are above other races. And sometimes, it does get very depressing.

"im afraid blacks will take over the country."
ok. 1st of all. we wont. and 2nd of all who care if we do! White people have takin over he country, but we dont make racis comments like that. close minded people are scared of change. and we are human. we r all the same. and all equal. racism is a huge issue and i experience it everyday. but to see people attack obama and every african american in 8 words makes me want to be sick.

Sorry but I have heard my share of racial epitaphs made to whites why the likes of Farrakhan, Sharpton and others, including the black rapper community. Step off the soap box. I think this election has completely driven a giant divide in our country, has brought out the most vile comments, BOTH SIDES, watching Twitter comments about death to Cheney, rude and vile jokes about Palin's handicap child, or her daughter, McCains age.

I say if you won't say it to your grandparents, then you shouldn't say it on a blog or in person to someone else.

The folks in the video are un-informed and of course given air time because it sells.

Again we as a nation are screwed, by all this election hyperbole.

Farrakhan, Sharpton, "others," and the "black rapper community" have nothing to do with Obama and his campaign.

The people in this video are McCain voters. Please try and make a distinction here, and stop making excuses for racism from conservatives.

Twitter comments? Probably 13-year-old boys with nothing better to do. Once again, your comparisons fail.

I will vote for Bill.

I just want to say to you that there are a lot of people on your side. Blacks are not alone. Go back and look at the footage of Martin Luther King and the peace marches and you will see Jews and whites and blacks all walking together. If the minorities of this nation bind together than this little, fearful, hateful group of low-life scum will have to move over and get the hell out of the way. Fear is behind racism. Fear is the tool of the right wing in the Republican Party. It is just amazing that the good people in the Republican Party do not stand up and condemn the ones causing the rift in America. Or maybe there's nothing good left in that party.

I think what is most disturbing is the ferocity with which the right is playing the race card. My mom, husband, sister and I are all just in shock. How can ANYBODY be getting away with this? Is this even legal? If it is legal, why is it? This is like watching the death throes of the Klan!

Of course it's legal. In fact, they have a constitutional right to be bigots.

"Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech."

They're attacking not only African Americans but every right thinking person in this country. They are not true Americans. True Americans fought WW II against people with this sort of mentality.

This exposes the base of the Republican Party. These are the people who make up the first threshhold that all national Republican candidates must win over to go on the national ticket. It sure explains a lot about how truly unAmerican the Republican party is at it's core.

I couldn't agree with you more that this is the base. It's that 28% that still supports Bush. I'll bet that after this election, they will become politically irrelevant.

I disagree with you that they are un-American. American means they can say what they want, vote like they want, love their guns, attend their bigoted churches, never read a book, wear their flag pins and claim a monopoly on patriotism. They are quintisential American because America=tolerance.

There is just about as much ignorance among these comments disparaging these several ignorant citizens in the video, as the level of ignorance in the McCain supporters on the video. Good grief! So somebody found and recorded 8-10 misinformed people. You can just as easily do the same thing in the heart of Obama's supporters.

You are so correct in feeling the way you do. Every time I see a white person that speaks about Obama's race, I want to puke! It is sad that we are in 2008 and still have to deal with this ridiculous mess, and it really is a mess.

Does a white person every think about how we feel as human beings when we have gone through so much to get where we are today, do they think about the fact that there are plenty and I do mean plenty black people that have moved on and are trying to make a life for themselves and their families, without relying on past memories?

It really sickens me. I knew it was here (racism) but to see it as I have recently, it is a sad moment in our history. To think of some ignorant fool thinking that blacks will take over because Obama became the prez, whites have been prez forever, have they all taken over the country simply because they were white.

The way I feel right now, after this election blacks should just give up voting and contributing anything to America at all that does not benefit them and their family directly. It is a shame!

Thanks to McCain/Palin, if they win this race, blacks will be set back 100 years, as well as the women!

I don't think it's depressing at all.

It doesn't make me sad to see racism rear it's ugly head and be flat-out rejected by the majority of America. These fools actually think the racism will scare people away from Obama and it just scares people away from them.

When someone, in this case Obama, rightfully earns your respect- you better damn well use more than just your or his skin tone to trash a person I respect. That's across the board be it race, gender, sexuality, etc. I use The Google so you better goddamn have your facts straight because I don't like being lied to and having my intelligence insulted.

I'm from a small town in Texas considered liberal by its neighbours. Racism is prevalent here, though often unadmitted. I'm just returned from Mississippi where the word 'nigra' is enjoying a big come back. It's pretty horrible.

Let me tell you folks something, I have yet to meet a black person that knows how to shut the hell up and just do their damn job without bitchin all day long. And I'm getting really sick and tired of ya'll thinking my people owe you something. Get your facts straight! We bought Africans from Africans. We freed Africans long before Africans freed Africans. If I had it my way you'd still be in chains you ungrateful bastards!!

I'm sure you know very few Black people. But keep on, people like you are so amusing to me. Your fear is palpable. Suggestion, WHEN Obama and Biden take this next month you should really consider getting a passport (as Im sure you've never ventured outside of this county) and moving out of the country...OR, why don't you all move to Alaska then go ahead suceed from the Union....Thank you.

LMAO...... Honestly....are you serious? Evidently, you must reside in a state sanitarium or somewhere. How about getting out and talking to real, productive black people. And please, don't judge a book by it's cover. I am sure, to the masses, I would appear to be nothing more than just a regular young Black thug. But stop and take a closer look. I pay taxes and child support. I hold doors open for women of all color and age. I say yes sir and yes ma'am (I'm from the South). I love my country and served in the Army. And if you asked anybody who had the fortune of running across my path, you would be hard pressed to find one, that wouldn't tell you that I'm one of the most honest and sincere people that you have ever met. But don't get it twisted, with comments like yours, we are all still in chains (Black and White). Thanks for your time.

In your case I have met to see a white person recognise a black person as human beings. So shut the hell up you poor jobless white bastard and go beat your wife, because it looks like you blame everyone but the real person responsible for you loss of home and job, BUSH! McCain is just like Bush. And if he is elected more people will loose their jobs and homes. If Obama is elected it will show black kids that gangs are not the answer. Kids of all races will see that there is more to life than a gang and a life of crime. You personally did not set anyone free, nor did your parents or grandparents. Or else you would not call anyone ungrateful. Blacks are still repressed in America. They can't get higher education, higher paying jobs, or be respected. Because white people reserve that for white people. I am a white woman who is tired of republicans who think that women are useless. I am tired of people saying blacks are gang thugs and not useful to society, because of Bush more people went on welfare, and If McCain is elected millions more will go on welfare. Americans did not buy blacks from africa, they kidnapped them and used them to build the very thing whites are destroying. They forced blacks to serve in war and never honored them. And when someone asks another what they think of Harlem...People reply with "A place where blacks live in gangs, sell drugs, and are violent". Look at the humiliation of blacks by the L.A. police. The lack of health care and jobs. They turn to crime in the same manner many white single mothers turn to stripping and prostitution. Just so they can raise their kids, because a white mans country wont give them the ability to go any higher. You are bigoted and hateful and drunk. instead of complaining about blacks complaining see the truth. You are a white man full of contempt, hate and complaints. take a moment to fix your life and stop complaining brfore you complain about other people's complaints

I am white. I am voting for Obama. For him to be President would be one of the most wonderful events in our nation's history.

Sadly, I think there will always be sick people who hate someone because of their ethnicity.

It is just mindboggling that a person could hate another person because of their SKIN COLOR. It is the most moronic, ignorant decision imaginable.

what has been revealed in this campaign is BLACK RACISM and BLACK SUPREMACY. in the words of vernon jordan, "there is no such thing as reverse racism. racism is racism and all racism is wrong." racial differences are a reality which each inidividual on earth should proudly realize. discrimination is a positive quality of the mind to tell one thing from another and we need more of that. knee jerk reactions falsely deprecating OR ELEVATING a special interest group by race or other external difference is a sign of lack of evolution.. we evolve through struggle by facing challenges through millenia of effort. it is a good thing to work struggle and grapple with what we face.

no one can take away anyone's freedom. it does not come from government. we are born that way. all we have to do is exercise our freedom. if you don't exercise your rights, you don't have any.

domination is the other side of the coin of servitude and neither is free.

sarah palin and john mccain are both straightforward and it is easy to feel that. i support their ticket and want less government. interference makes us all disfuncional and can be dug out of our nervous systems by each on of us individually to attain our unfettered natural state which is birthright.

I really feel for you. As a white guy, I have always insisted that race was still a huge issue in USA even though some happy-talkers want to deny it, but I never imagined so much trash. "My boyfriend ain't real happy about him being black." Then WTF is wrong with your boyfriend, honey? Is he mental? Why would you date somebody like that? -- A *really* ugly side of modern American life I am sorry that we all get to see/sorry it exists/didn't really believe it could be so.

"No-drama Obama" doesn't get too excited about it, though. Shoot, he's gonna get elected President in two weeks and these bigots will have to like it or lump it!

People just don't get it. He is a Christian. His name just sounds muslim. Even though no one liked Rev. Wright, he was a pastor of a Baptist Church, hence a Christian. Get a clue people. Wake up!!! He was raised by a white family and in all the commercials all you see is his white mother and his white grandparents of whom he loves!!! How can he be anti-white when that is half of him. Listen to him not the people against him. Put clean good information into your brain. Are you going to take the time to know him or are you going to let negative voices cloud your mind. This country has been run by white men all of this time and look at where we are now.

I am sorry, color does not guarantee wisdom or experience. Bush has been in office for 8 years and look at where we are in the country and in the world. At the lowest point that we have ever been in all the years we have been in power. We suck and you want another rich man who has never had mis-meal cramps and let's count his 8 homes to lead us into what he feels is a good thing. His wife owns a huge company, do you think for one minute you can relate to him? Does he relate to you? I have to eat soup for dinner and I will not be checking in to work in the morning. I have been laid off since March of this year. We have been going through a lot and McCain does not understand that. Do you answer your phone if a bill collector is calling?

McCain does not have me in his plans for the future. Clearly, get a clue people.

Our country will be more garbage and we need to save us NOW. Please, stop dismissing him and start listening to him. He has your good intentions at heart too.

I am so tired of trying convince ignorant people about a good man named Barack Hussein Obama. At the beginning of eevry competition. we know that there will be a winner and a loser! They are white racist-bigots will never vote for anyone black or brown. So let them wallow in their toilet of stupidity and hatred, as far as I am concerned, the toilet is where they belong! As far these bigots being Christian...NOT! to be Christian is to be "Christ-Like." My bible tells me that Christ is so pure that He cannot lie! So they ARE NOT CHRISTIANS,...they are "FOLLOWERS of the DEVIL." The racist bigots can lynch a man on Saturday night and be in church on Sunday singing "Rock of Ages", all while they believe they did God a favor the night before. Let these redneck, ignant racist go and wish them well as they vote for tweedle dee and tweetle dumb. When the uneducated fools make minimum wages and McJerk tax their helathcare...we don't want to hear a word from the idiots. We I run into you racist bigots in the soup line...I don't want to hear one word about the gov-ment!

Hmmmm. They get it allright. They are bigotted, ignorant jerks that live at the bottom of the social barrel in this country. Meaning that the majority of people in this country wouldn't want anything to do with them. They are embarassing. McCain/Palin pander to their bigotted ideas. McCains campaign reinforces their bigotry by sending out lies and half-truths about Obama. You could tell these people Obama is a Christian a hundred times and back it up with printed facts but because they don't trust any media nor anyone who doesn't agree with their BS they'll never accept the truth so just give it up and forget about them. Eventually they will become extinct and go away on their own like the dinosaurs that they are.

Actually, Rev. Wright is not Baptist, but an ordained minister of the UCC.United Church of Christ, which here in New England is mainly what used to be Congregational...first denomination to have black, female and gay clergy. Howard Dean is also UCC.

you say LOOK AT WHERE WE ARE NOW. we are fortunate that we have not had another 911 attack.

if it were not for white people, there would not even have been a free country. this country was founded by white protestant christians. the notion of freedom did not come from africa. slavery came from africa.

obama's church is christian in name only. christianity is not about hatred like reverend wrigt's racial tirades. the christianity of obama's upbringing came from BLACK LIBERATION THEOLOGY and it is all racist. it is part of the NATION OF ISLAM. islam accepts jesus as a prophet and a muslim can also be a christian in that sense. but a muslim is only a good muslim if he fights jihad and promotes the conversion of every person on earth to islam and those who will not convert shall be killed in jihad. that is the prophecy of islam. if you want to be forced to go to a mosque and support women being suppressed, beaten, and castrated which is the method advocated by mohammed in the koran, vote for obama. he is muslim. he is not only muslim, he is part of THE NATION OF ISLAM and has been endorsed by THE AMERICAN COMMUNIST PARTY. i saw it on-line and you can too by googling AMERICAN COMMUNIST PARTY. OBAMA is seditious.

you have as much freedom and opportunity as john mccain. why not exercise it and be a success and get yourself a great life that you build out of your own strength and integrity because you are a free human? that is what america is about.

i know. my family has been here since before the american revolution and we had one signer of the declaration of independence. i am proud of my country. i am proud of my family. i am proud of my race. proud of my sex. i work hard and am going to have a great year regardless of what any politicians do. politicians are not taking my power and freedom and do not rely on government. i rely on myself and my relationship wiht the divine.

i recommend it. it is a life worth living. seize the opporunity. now is the time for all free people to come to the aid of their country and vote mccain palin.

The ignorance depicted in the post above is just unbelievable! Slavery came from Africa? perhaps Africans sailed all the way from America to Africa to kidnap, rape, murder and drown innocent people! I'm sick and tired of listening to these White supremacist lazy idiots that try to blame slavery on Africa! You white supremacists were so "hard working" that you had to go to Africa and kill to obtain "free labour". If it was down to me, every African-American should be given a 500 year work holiday, because that's what White America had! 500 years of free labour, and some of the beneficiaries of this inhuman carnage have the guts to call African Americans lazy and unworthy of the highest office. Let's face it all White supremacists do is exterminate people wherever you go. It was you that killed over 100 million innocent Africans, it is you that killed over 6 million innocent jews, it is you that exterminated over 500,000 Polynesians, it is you that attempted to exterminate all the black people from South Africa and Zimbabwe, it you that attempted to exterminate the native Indian population and you have the audacity to call yourselves Christian? Someone needs to inform you that you came to America as ex-convicts and unwanted outcastes from Europe. America was not inhabited orignally by people of European descent, go figure! Native Americans are the only ones that have a rightful claim to this land. But in typical fashion you decide "oh must be great to settle here", then you exterminate the native people and take over. Only Christian when its suits you! You Bible toting Christians should at least read the ten commandments, especially the one that says "thy shall not kill" - no if, no but's, "thy shall not kill..period!" Yet you stood by and watched the lynching, bombing and rape of African Americans for years and you want to tell me about Christain values and morality! Please!
McCain is a descent Man. Honourable and a true patriot. Obama is an equally descent man, a patriot and great American who was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth like McCain was, but worked his way up. That's what America is about...not getting a pass, but working your way up! In my opinion, the fact that Obama can stand toe-to-toe with McCain is a testimony to Obama's strength. Palin - well I just wonder how such an ignorant dumb-ass could become a governor, talkless of a possible VP.
Hypocrites...you have the audacity to criticise Reverend Wright - someone needs to remind you people of George Wallace and J Edgar Hoover. I wonder where you were then eh? Reverend Wright never put a bomb in a church! Reverend Wright never burnt crosses outside someone's home! Reverend Wright never lynched or raped anyone! Reverend Wright never dragged a man around town tied to a pickup truck! Reverend Wright didn't sit on all white jury that acquitted those that beat Rodney King senseless!
