C&L videos are now Embeddable!
By John Amato Monday Jun 01, 2009 2:59pmWe've finally (Jamie) finished the code work on C&L's embed player. Every video you see in one of our flash players can be embedded on your own websites of forums.
Just click on the title of a post and look to the right.

You'll see the code you need. You will also be able to change the color and size of the player to match the site design that you use. Anyway, we've been upgrading the C&L as fast as we can.
We've just added "Third Branch," our new Supreme Court blog to go along with Video Cafe, Newstalgia, Blue America and the LNMC.
We have more changes coming out soon...
And we will need your help to continue to expand and grow C&L. Thanks...

Thanks - I will be using this feature...
Is there a specific reason the comment sort order in the "Third Branch," room is unlike the rest, ascending/descending wise? At least it was the last time I looked.
Could you also make the site recognize when the browser client is mobile Safari and have make the default video QuickTime, so those of us perusing away from a computer can have a decent browsing experience, without having to click on absolutely minute QuickTime links...when they are even available.
As always, very appreciated by me! :)
I was able to give a little something right now. Glad to do it for my favorite political blog!
Yea! Now I'll be able to eat crackers AND watch C&L in bed.
I won't ask what you're watching.
behind, LOL!
I am clicking everywhere
'to the right of the title'
but I find no link to / or info for the embed
is it a MAC thing? is there an EMBED icon?
thanks
Took me a little to find it too.
Nice job of coding, Jamie!
Granted I have an old slow PC where I run FireFox normally with the extensions AdBlock+, FlashBlock, and GreaseMonkey (and a few others that shouldn't matter.) so my PC is usable and doesn't choke on ads and flash.
I've tried disabling those extension and I still can't find the embed place to click. Does it have an icon? If I view the source code of the page how does the embed html appear?
There's no video in the post.
Go to a thread that's got video and you'll find it.
Now tell me, where is it?
1. "can be embedded on your own websites of forums"
should be
"can be embedded on your own websites or forums"
and
2. "we've been upgrading the C&L as fast as we can"
should probably have a noun in there after "C&L" or else delete the "the".
I'll PayPal you a little something...
but what does 'embeddable' mean?
It means you can post C&L videos on your site. Neat.
I don't have a site, but I'm glad for those who do!
ps, I'm a newbee to all this high-falutin' stuff ... :)
Cool, thanks!
Good to see this site marching forward :)
