As I predicted, conservatives like Limbaugh attack Obama for speaking out so soon on the Haiti disaster
As soon as the news of the massive Haitian earthquake broke, and after the horror of the event had sunk in, I knew that President Obama would be attacked immediately over it no matter how he responded by teabaggers and movement conservatives.
That's a sad statement to make, but after witnessing the behavior of the right wingers in America since Obama was elected in 2009, it wasn't that big a reach.
Rush Limbaugh leads the way, proclaiming exactly what I figured the insane right would say.
Obama discussed Haitian earthquake sooner than attempted Christmas bombing; "Did he apologize for America?"
With thousands of people dead already and as the suffering continues in Haiti, Limbaugh and his ilk only care about one thing: Destroying Obama.

Imagine, Mr. Robertson, supposedly a man of God, is saying that the tragedy is a "blessing in disguise". He even said that the actions of their slave ancestors have contributed to their misfortunes ever since.

But, don't send money directly to Haiti.
The Haitian government is corrupt.

I noticed that too, Jak. O'Reilly had barely a mention of Haiti while KO and Rachel devoted much of their program to this huge tragedy.
O'Reilly used this tragedy to make political points by saying that the United States provides so much aid to other countries and therefore we are so good. Yes, we do provide a huge amount of aid to other countries, especially in times of disaster, but that does not excuse the fact that bush and cheney started war in Iraq which killed and maimed 100s of 1000s or more innocent Iraqis, not to mention our own military. Even though he didn't mention Iraq, I know he was trying to defend bush and his actions in that country because he historically has done so, and he is one of those who bash Obama because he "apologizes" too much for the United States.
I also noticed that BillO made mention of some conservatives who complained that Obama took 3 days to talk about the underwear bomber but took only a very short time to talk about Haiti. While BillO praised Obama for moving quickly on Haiti, he did complain about Obama taking 3 days for the underwear bomber. He also did not mention any of these "conservatives" by name. O'Reilly NEVER bashes that scumbag limbaugh; he goes out of his way to protect him.
Lastly, BillO also used Haiti to bash liberals. He said that liberals think that "nanny states" work and made the prediction that although the U.S. will send lots of money and aid to Haiti, it will still be a corrupt nanny state in a year. Screw O'Reilly using this epic tragedy for a political point.
I also want to know why, if BillO thinks Haiti is a "nanny state" that will be that same "nanny state" in a year, in spite of our help, why did he also mention that he has given money to a charity that helps Haiti. He's trying to have it both ways, claiming that the U.S. and he are good, but Haiti is a bad nanny state.
Spent an hour watching CNN last night, and had to turn it off because the situation in Haiti is horrible and there's nothing I can do but donate $$$. Then I switch over to Fox and Susternenenen is doing political stuff, and O'Reilly said all that stuff and I went to sleep angry at that bastard. What a pig.

Yesterday I walked into a store and the owner was saying to her clerk, "I am not sending them anything, they are going to be better off now than they were in the first place. They are going to do very well now"! Sound familiar? Just like Barbara Bush after Katrina when the former New Orlean residents relocated to Texas. Guess where I won't be shopping anymore? What a coldhearted person. She was also rattling off about the banks being taxed. (she doesn't think it's fair to the banks)
