Where Art Thou, Howard Dean?

dean-mtp_aaf56.jpg

Watching Tim Kaine's boring performance as leader of the DNC on MTP made me realize how much I sure missed Howard Dean. He would have schooled Michael Steele over every topic since he's the complete laughing stock of the RNC, but instead Kaine just let him say whatever he wanted without any push back. Read the transcript and you tell me?

i miss howard so much, especially at times like that...
...

and, all morning i've been worried about missing my C&L too!
is it just me? or has C&L been having trouble getting through all the tubes to s.central illinois?

whew! it finally loaded!

I also miss the good Doctor, AND my C&L, lol!
Took all mornin to get the site to load.

Or just take the time to pop another PBR to wash down your morning cholesteropl.

and no alcohol before noon...unless I'm on vacation...then all bets are off.

has got to stop.

I'd say it sounds like you're gettin into things that don't concern you...
You wouldn't butt into anyone else' business now would ya?
Because that wouldn't be cool ricky.
WOULD IT?

As a concerned member paid employee of Mother Against Work Posting I am looking out for the safety of innocent children blog readers everywhere.

.

I also find it interesting how the Great Democratic Victory last year is getting spun as Rahm's big win.

With the healthcare "debate" about to happen I wouldn't be getting on any small planes any time soon if I were Dr. Dean.

Still, I really, really, really wish he were here.

Dean,Pelosi and others have to walk and talk everyday with confessed torturers and murder supporters. It could give a person stamach problems easy

should be neither seen nor heard. If, however, they have ties to Howard Hughes that may reveal something about a President's brother, it is OK to break into their office.

I can't tell you how thoroughly unimpressed I am with Tim Kaine.

I am still waiting for some reporter/columnist to explain what the deal is between Obama and Howard Dean.

He wouldn't even consider Dean for HHS Secretary or even Surgeon General, and pushed for Kaine to replace him at the DNC.

What don't we know?

Howard Dean has always impressed me. He has so much to offer the Democrats. His snubbing by the Obama administration doesn't make sense.

the corporate master's deemed him too much of a threat. THEY had him removed.

It's Rahm Emanuel and Dean.

Rahm didn't like Dean's 50 State Strategy and wanted to run compliant Dems that he could control. That's why we forfeited so many House races when Rahm was in charge of the DCCC. They butted heads all the time.

It's such a shame that Dean's talents are not being utilized. He'd mop the floor with the likes of Michael Steele.

Rahm Emmanuel is an asshole! And a flaming one at that.

That Obama would pick him over Howard Dean, tells me volumes about our president sellout.

Methinks Mr. Obama may one day regret having embraced the GOP-lite Clinton flunky crowd. These people are loathed by conservatives, and the democratic base. Good luck gettin' elected by them moderates. Most moderates I talk to nowadays, are sounding pretty damn liberal.

For all of his sophistication and intelligence, Obama has made some incredibly stupid choices when it comes to his immediate circle.

Dr. Dean would have eviserated Chairman Steele for sure. The problem is, the same tongue used for that task has probably been used on a few of his erstwhile Democratic colleagues from time to time.

Steele upstaged and drew out answers as much as possible while Tim was polite and could only get a partial clarification in for most of the volleys. That said, Tim was more effective than Steele for appearing realistic and not just raw ego (or crazed desperation?). That's the way I saw it and I'm a Howard Dean fan, too.

The fact Kaine allowed Steele to repeat his disdain for "empathetic judges" on the 55th anniversary of Brown vs. Board of Education, is almost inexcusable.

would prefer doing a "cake dance" at the end of a long day's toiling in the field.

yeah, you may be right

Hey Howard Dean, where the hell are you man???

When I listen to you
Things seem to make sense
When I listen to him
All I hear is blah blah blah

Howard Dean has political balls of steel, that's why the Democrats basically drummed him out of his position.

He represented a real threat to the status quo.

...other than the fact that Obama has demonstrated that he is way too willing to compromise with the Clintons, and the Carvills, and the Emanuels, and the rest of the entrenched, Washington insiders when it comes to people they have a problem with. Fact is, until that bunch sicced the media establishment on Howard in '04 and otherwise ganged up on him to make sure he didn't dethrone them before they had a chance to make a comeback, Howard was positioned to be 'The King of The World' when it came to the Democratic Party, and as far as I'm concerned, he should be.

Eatin' Jimmy Dean.

Now that Howard Dean has solidified the democratic party as "the people's party" once again, gaining overwhelming victories in congress and the presidency, he is no longer needed.

After Jan. 20th, it was time to put the party back into the hands of the Clinton "republican-lite assholes," who sent the dems into minority oblivion for 12 years.

And if Mr. GOP-lite Obama continues down this corporate-fascist Clinton flunky path he has chosen, the dimbocrats will find themselves replaced once again.

These DLC arseholes just don't get it! The democrats lost control after 60 (that's 6 and 0) years, because they started acting LIKE republicans under Clinton.

Man these idiots in charge of the democratic party have short memories.

and that would be why they won't get any of my money.
I haven't given to the party in years. I give to individual candidates.

I hear ya'. I will continue to vote for real democrats (liberals), but the GOP-lites can go to hell.

And if Obama continues to let the corporate sell-outs in the Senate dismantle everything the people voted for, he will lose a whole bunch of votes in my neck of the woods. If he really is the leader of the "peoples party" and not just another watchman for the corporate interests, he is going to have to start getting these Ben Nelson assholes in line.

This does not mean being mindless drones like the repukes who supported every anti-american policy that chimpy wanted. These jackasses are actually voting down legislation that got them elected by the people to support!

The repukes may be dead in the water, but my guess is that if the democrats continue down this path, they will be challenged sooner than later by another party. Sorry Clinton flunkies, but the people are sick of corporate fascism.

How long do they think people will continue to be told by the likes of Larry "derivatives" Sommers that: "things are getting much better. The economy is only losing 400,000 jobs a month, and the banks are doing really really well selling all of their foreclosed homes to speculators. Also, their ability to charge 45% interest rates on credit cards to the taxpayers who saved their ass has been a major win win for them.

And that extra trillion we gave them in bailout money so they could lobby us into working against the will of the people has really seemed to 'pay-off" for them - if you know what I mean!. So yes america, things are definitely improving."

"I don't exactly know when the democrats became an extention of the republican party, but I will be damned if I will vote for my own destruction" NoGWBpolicyleftinplace Saturday, May 16

Oh ricky, thou are rather dim.

The people voted for the party that ran under the Howard Dean and Obama "change" banner. Folks were expecting another FDR! Not a 1990's republican-lite replay. Now that they have been elected to implement that change, they instead have put the Clinton GOP-lite flunkies back in charge, and are continuing to suck up to Wall Street - while at the same time giving the people the same bullshit they got under the republicans.

I am really surprised you couldn't figure that one out on your own. But then again, having read some of your other mindless ramblings, maybe I am not so surprised.

"Dimbicrat." As such I didn't know it was Obama's name on the ballot. All along I thought it was Howard Dean who I have been for since he won Iowa back in 2004.

No ricky, I don't think you are a kool aid drinker. But I gotta admit, I really don't get were you are coming from half of the time?

Have a good one ricky.

)O(

Howard Dean has done more good for the Democratic Party than any single person I know.

Yes, we had to move to the middle ground to win, and yes, as a proud far-lefty, liberal, DFH (dirty hippy), I knew there would be times the new administration would dissapoint me, but the way Dr. Dean has been treated, saddens me the most. :-(

then expelled Dean, so he's get no credit. the people know what's going on.

was when Gregory allowed Richard Haass in the roundtable to say "You're seeing it from the war of choice that this president has embarked on in Afghanistan... " as the last time I checked, the only "was of choice" was and is Iraq. And was not Obama's choice to continue, either. But the facts be damned!

Unbelievable. The only show Gregory should be on is "Dancing With The Stars (C-List)"

Unindicted CoConspirators." His partner was cute but a tad overweight.

mtp ratings are dropping to the floor. nbc made a colossal mistake and I hope they keep paying for it.

but they should have given the job to Keith.

They should have given it to to that Ed guy...or The Shuster.
we need...I need Keith on my teevee at 8pm sharp...elsewise, I get despondent, and start to eat lead paint chips.

or I would have dropped by earlier.

full of the stuff!
Come on by, we'll have a PBR, and lead paint chip party, oh and bring a BOX o'hammers!

banished by the corporatists, who want no parts of single-payer.

so they fired him. Tradition is important.

Absolutely correct. Just ask the Chicago Cubs. ; )

Dean won't "play ball." That makes him dangerous. Too many lucrative contributions from the health care and pharmaceutical industries hang in the balance to let Dean's cannons loose.

"He's the best spokesman we have for single payer. Better marginalize him, quick!"

howard dean would have made a great president

Obama did not want to support Dean as DNC chairman because Dean would not remain silent while Obama sells us out on health care, Social Security, and Medicare. Dean, Dashle, Pelosi, and Hilary are the strongest advocates for universal health care and with the exception of Pelosi have been somewhat neutralized. Pelosi has been weakened by the latest flap over the CIA, however, she is by far more representative of the Democratic Party than the metamorphic in the Oval Office. It would not surprise me to find out that there are two sealed indictments - one for Rahm in the Blagojevich affair and the other for Obama in the Rezko investigation. Blackmail anyone?

I was appalled.. He-Kaine, looked like an fool. Like he had never been on TV..Just staring into space somewhere or at that tool of a host.
I thought,'Oh no, another 4 years of Kaine as chairman, making these kinds of appearances!!
It would have been so easy to stomp that pompous a$$ Steele into the ground!!
Was a shameful appearance.. Just shameful!!
