Having lived in Canada for a year I got to see first hand the healthcare system enjoyed up there. Good stuff. Add to that all the German, British, Swiss and other European friends of mine who after having suffered our medical system once or twice now opt to fly back to their homeland whenever medical care is needed and I've decided that if a serious medical problem were to hit me, I'll be moving abroad.

I keep thinking that this wingnut base is finally uncovered with the election of Obama. They could hide their racism before with "fidelity to the president." All those presidents have been white. Now that one isn't, their cover is blown. They don't respect the Office of the President, they respect the whiteness of the skin involved. Can you imagine if Obama was a darker-skinned black man? He wouldn't have gotten elected. Sad, but probably true.
The further he deviates from their mantra of white male, the less they see him as a real President. It has nothing to do with his birth certificate and everything to do with their fear of losing the shaky ground they've been standing on for centuries.

I thought there was some story about people identifying themselves as Christians by drawing the fish symbol in the sand. At least that's sort of how my holier than thou younger sister explained it to me.
That is correct. It was a secret symbol for Christians to identify each other. One would draw half of the fish and if the other one drew the other half they understood that they were both Christians and could speak freely. This was back when they were persecuted by Romans.

Let's look at how the Republican went about questioning Judge Sotomayor--primarily on one statement and one case where she agreed with the state. Do the Republicans believe they are gaining any votes from the largest growing voter base with this line of questioning or incendiary punditry. It is time for these haters to grow up put away their illogical brand of commentary and take up the mantle of being responsible purveyors of carrying the news once again.
