(h/t ThinkTanked Blog)

Just in case you didn't see it coming, here's the opening salvo in the Great Bush Tax Hike Cut Battle, courtesy of the Heritage Foundation, that non-partisan think tank that just happens to wrap itself around every conservative value out there.

It's a fantasy, just like every other fiscal policy the Republicans think is gospel. They cue the tax cut fairies and ignore David Stockman, Alan Greenspan, Paul Krugman, and just about every economist on the planet while catering to the few and starving the many.

Reassure the children. The Tax Cut Monster is a big red greedy thing, but it's easy to kill. Do nothing, and the tax cuts vanish! Just like that. The tax cut fairies will cry and stomp, but it'll be all right. We'll all be better off for it, even if the richest 400 people in the country have to pay something more like their fair share.

how well has the tax cuts worked in creating jobs in the last 10 years? The only jobs we saw created were in the military. Every other job was outsourced. Even the militay jobs are overseas and they are underpaid and dangerous unless of course you got a job as a mercenary.

....the fools do not realize,a population that can ,..... not paticipate .............in the 'economy'...,can not keep it viable!..........."we are listening,.......and we're not blind.,......this is your life....this is your time."

I lost 10 IQ points watching this video, and I want them back.

Really, because the ones I lost were about how to tie my shoes. I kinda need those ones.

...than the AFP commercial. Not only because it's got better production values, but because it plays right to the teabagger base with all the scary tropes. To us, it's stupid and lowers our IQ. To them, it's everything they were afraid of when Obama was elected. Doesn't matter if it's a lie as long as it's scary.

Now that's funny!!!

The truth tellers just have to keep telling everybody that these tax cuts are only for millionaires. Not many Joe Sixpacks and Nancy Wineboxwes think that people who make a million $$$ a year need tax breaks. Tax cuts for the mega rich and adding to the deficit. Deficit deficit deficit. Did I mention adding to the deficit? Every Sunday, every time they are on a talking head show.

Bush did these tax cuts. Reagan did tax cuts. Deficit deficit deficit. Clinton raised taxes to a fair level and the economy did FANTASTICALLY!! What is so difficult to understand? Why can't these jackasses just say it??

Pretty sad, Heritage. Please come back with better.

I'm trying to decide if it would be ironic or hilarious (probably both) if Fox sued the Heritage Foundation for that blatant rip-off of the FOX Searchlight splash at the beginning.

Here is the strategy. Take the republican commercials, clip the last five seconds, and replace it with, "solution--tax break for the rich." then play them just enough to create the expectation.

Every time Republicans play the original commercial, ....

And do that with every commercial. No matter what the topic.

Solution--tax break for the rich.

Yep, it's always better to be on the offensive.

After 30 years of having dirt kicked in their faces, you'd think the democrats would have figured that out by now.

Rush Limbaugh is what a smart person thinks a stupid bigot sounds like.

has go to beworth doing.

We should be discussing this. Ask normal income Americans, "should we let the Obama tax cuts for the middle class expire so that we can continue the Bush tax cuts for the rich ?" Let people know the real situation not some made up BS from the Repubs.
